    HINT: Some time ago we moved into a modular single wide home (sorta like a larger version of an RV shoebox shape). They are kinda close together in our hood, so in order to maximize lateral privacy, I took off the ugly window coverings and installed frosted window film textured with beautiful elegant palm trees/bamboo stalks etc, peel n stick from amazon, that covers (on mid level windows) from the window bottom to about 2/3 up so the top 1/3 of the window is plain window. Or you could leave a 3 inch gap at that 2/3 point to see clearly out of, and then cover the top as well for more privacy. Plenty of light coming in, then installed expresso blinds to get max privacy/no light at night. On the patio doors I put the window film from thigh height to shoulder height, that way i can see out, but no one can see in. You could leave a 3 or 6 inch clear slot at face height to see out, then cover the top portion of the glass door if u wanted. Expresso drapes at sides to close at night. Max light in, great privacy at all times.
    Your Project: The drapes are nice, but you have to wash them, iron them, etc. Window film is a great privacy very cheap item, look beautiful all the time with no maintenance other than perhaps an occasional damp cloth swipe. The valances look snappy, I just wd have covered them in vinyl peel n stick instead, that way it only requires a damp cloth swipe to clean. I hate dealing with fabric unless i get to wear it, ha ha! lazy thing that i am...

      after u pulled them out of the washer looking kinda shredded I was taken aback! I didnt know bleach wd do such damage to drapes!! I highlight my own long hair with bleach so I didnt make the correlation. oh my! @@BillandKelleyAdventures

    Did you by chance do a video on the curtains?

    • @BillandKelleyAdventures
      @BillandKelleyAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I didn’t that was before I did a lot of TH-cam. I did do a video on changing them to Turkish towels and I just took down the valances and did curtain rods. Just up loaded that one a few weeks ago.

    I want to do that to our Rezerve. I'm not sure about the color of the material you used to wrap the valance. Is it gray?

    • @BillandKelleyAdventures
      @BillandKelleyAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it was gray I ended up hating it and taking them down. It's great to redo if you use the right color lol

    We have an older 1998 Class C. Just removing the padded valances makes the space feel lighter. Not settled on a theme yet but I have some ideas. Glad I stumbled on your channel. Nice ideas. I like your style!!

    Thank you so much! I can do this!!! Just so you don’t try another time you can’t put bleach on fabric. It will eat it. I cringed when I saw you pour bleach on the fabric. Even when adding bleach to water and then putting fabric in, so excited . the bleach will deteriorate the fabric. I am excited to do this. I have lots of quilting cotton. I think I might add an accent fabric in that piece you tore off.

    • @BillandKelleyAdventures
      @BillandKelleyAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a great Idea to add the accent fabric. Yes I think I figured that out about the bleach the other ones I ordered did the same thing haha I am lucky I didn't loose them all.

    • @Lauren-vd4qe

    How much fabric did it take you to do your window toppers?

    • @BillandKelleyAdventures

      3 yards. This would depend on fabric and if there is a pattern you need to match up.
