Metal mess tins with lids and handles make an excellent base for emergency (survival) kits.
Compact, convenient and practical, a kit can be put together to suit any budget and for any type of outdoor activities.
It makes great use of the limited space and increases the usefulness of the mess tin and chopping board lid.
That is a nice food container and having the small cutting board lid on it really helps too and comes in handy in the woods.
I’m telling Becky, that you slept in her tent.....🤪🤪🤪😬😬😬😘 The Scottish wanderer recently did a demo on the same kit, it looks very handy.

Nothing like getting in the woods to try some new kit great video, quick tip when using stainless to cook with pre season the pan by cooking off some oil in it first, give it a quick wipe with dry kitchen roll and your ready to go, it stops your food from sticking.

I was going to buy one with metal kid but this is much more useful so I’ll get one of these. Wouldn’t be using it as a plate after cutting raw meat on it though : )

Good video. I have a question; why is it in all these type of videos the people are always crouching to prepare, cook and mostly eat sitting on the bare floor? I mean there’s plenty of big rocks, stumps etc or even the handy dandy light weight stool available to buy. Just curious if is because people think it makes them look cool. 40+ years camping and backpacking here I have a hard time understanding that. Thanks.
Great video as always. Still loving the short hair. Nice mess tin, I have one similar to that but without the multi purpose lid. Can you use it as a lid when cooking? Doesn't look like it but I could be wrong.

@@LouisesAdventures I know im not invited, but remind me never to come to Your bit for dinner. You don't seem like a daft person so I'll just say ,dinny be sae fukin stupit. Ivebeen a kid and had a boy so i know all about building imune systems, and ive been in and about the woods since i was big enough to climb the trees. Im also 1st and foremost a Chef de partie in Scotland and have been for almost 25yrs and the danger that you may be putting yourself, and others in severe danger of salmonella, botchelism and or staphylococcal infections i.e. food poisoning.
I really dont mean to lecture, but it is a subject close to my heart, and so is the great outdoors.
