Fantastic vid: have these bits on order. Your description of the ‘issues’ with the original seal and the pins is not really set out elsewhere as far as I can see and give a good set of clues on how to get the best out of the V2.1 until a new service (SKF) kit is installed.
The newer seal feels lower friction, but on my post it still pukes out grease just like the old one. I've read that it's mostly a venting issue with this post.

I have the V2 dropper (240 mm) on my firebird so wondering in the end on which pins did you decided to use ?
I used the 4 line pins.
