Riffs in Belgrade

  • I just recently moved to Belgrade, Serbia, and living in a hostel is really conducive to writing heavy chunky metal riffs (you really do start losing faith in humanity after seeing the shit people do). I dunno why I decided to include some shaky footage of me walking around the city, but it kinda adds a bit of that psycho flavor to the whole thing - now it is a story of an angry man angrily stumbling down the street and staring at buildings...
The guitar I'm using is a vintage Jolana Diamant short-scale bass. For this track I used the following plugins and VSTs: Steven Slate SSD5, Ample Bass P (thanks to Jason for hooking me up!), MarkIII_Reissue_64 by VTarAmps
The cool thing about not using real amps live is that you can now jam to your tunes anywhere. Just bring your laptop and a speaker, and you're good to go. I recorded the DI signal with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and then processed it and mixed it in. No serious editing magic involved, you can hear the screw-ups.

Thanks Jason! Yeah, the full version is awesome, I've yet to get familiar with all its features, the instrument is so flexible!
