This is why I don’t do free returns. Someone wants to change their mind, they can pay to return it and I’m not refunding until I get it back.
It's a catch 22. Free returns does increase sales 🤦
@@desertsellers I tried free returns for a bit and didn’t notice a huge uptick in sales. But I did have an uptick in returns. I may try it again one day.
Agreed. No free shipping, no free returns. If the buyer actually has a defective item and sends photos to prove it, I don't want it back anyway, so I sometimes offer a partial refund or full refund and let them keep it. If they just changed their mind about buying something, they need to pay shipping to return it.
@@ForevertheYoungsso right I sell just as much making them pay to return
@@kandkpopstop offering any money back it’s the new thing to get things cheaper and the more it’s done the more they expect it I would say it’s getting bad enough about 1 in 10 people now not pick things and don’t want to return it but want a discount and how do you know the broke item they show you is yours and not a broke one they had
I dont refund anything until the item is returned. No exceptions
This is the only way to be. People refunding without the item is why they do it.
Yeah I didn't know this was going on people are dishonest. So I don't blame u all not taking it back .. don't let them win..make them send it back on their buck ...
It is EBAYS fault. They know they are scamming the buyer and still side with them. If ebay would deny alot of these scammers and boot them off.
Yes. They always side w buyers. Period. I stared in 2001. And left eBay in 2018 and just went back year ago and I’m ready to not do eBay again eBay enabling them is why I left for so long and went to other platforms
I always tried to maintain a Top Rated Plus status and after the scammers and returns we said screw this. We changed our return policy to 14 days and you pay to return the item. Guess what happened? The scammers went away and no returns for at least two months now. We were told by many resellers that 30 days free shipping on returns was the way to go or you could lose sales. Guess what our sales are up this month. We are keeping the 14 day customer pays for returns and Ebay can go screw themselves.
I denied someone wanting a refund because he said he changed his mind, and EBay stood behind that. We have rights as sellers to refuse refunds if it doesn’t meet EBay returns guidelines. I didn’t give him a reason, and I didn’t answer any of his messages. I don’t put up with bs. 🤷🏼♀️ I don’t have time for that.
I asked the ebay rep where in their rules it says I have to partial refund the buyer. Crickets.
If I get a lowball, I’ll counter once and then if they try it again, I just decline and move on. If the offer is SUPER low, I decline right out of the gate. I also will report and block someone if they make a false claim against me such as saying I sent the wrong item (so they can get free return shipping) when I sent the correct item. I have a very small store and make only 20ish sales per week so I’m not playing with scammers.
I do the same with offers.
I don't do free shipping. Buyer pays ALL shipping fees. I had one person try to says a $50 thermostat was broke. One of the clips on the back. I looked at the pictures and it wasn't broke, so I told him to send me a picture of it where it was broke. He told me he couldn't send me a picture of it. I told him I needed to see it in a picture and he would have to pay the return shipping. Never heard back. I always make them return it to me. It teaches them that they can't get stuff for free. Sellers who just refund them and let them keep the item is telling the buyer that it's OK for you keep doing this.
so true I make them return it, it's just a pain when they lie to get a free return
@@Lisa-cj8cuI find that most people lie to get the free return….and that is hard to fight in most cases.
Buyers don't have to send you a picture, and you pay the return shipping if it was broken.
@@WellnessWizdomyes it is the sellers responsibility to get the item to buyer in one piece as described. When I receive something broken I immediately send a picture. Scammer buyers play games and don’t want to send pictures.
@@Lisa-cj8cuOffer free returns. Then if they lie, you can still withhold shipping and report the buyer. If you're Top Rated, you can deduct up to 50% based on the damage/wear they caused to the item if it isn't the same as it was sent out.
Yep!! I’ve actually had two customers in the last couple weeks ADMIT to not even looking at pictures or reading my description. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
That's exactly it!! They just assume they can return no matter what 🤦
Same. And then they leave neg review bc they didn't read description ugh
You are 100% about the Amazon affect. I had 1 lady buy 3 books. She got the books and was not “happy” boils down to she did not read any description or item specifics. Sent her a label and bag to return. Got the books back 1 day before her time ran out. All 3 books were out of their sealed bags and had been read- and probably been passed around her assisted living buddies.
😂😂 you are spot on!! Hope she enjoyed them. And her neighbors too 🤦
I don't do free shipping and I don't except returns. If someone wants to return an item I tell them they have to pay for shipping. and I'll refund the sell price.
I don't accept any returns, unless it's inad
Yes, so annoying the low ball offer - asking more than half off the asking price! So annoying! I just ignore the offers now.
Its defintely been the smaller items. Someone left neg feedback and called us deceptive for a $13.90 item and free shipping because she thought she was getting 2 items. Smh ebay has not been helping with removing unfair feedback
Negative feedback stays on for 12 months. What you have to do is contact customer if they left negative feedback and explain to them you'll do what is needed to make it right. They can just return it. We ended up doing a partial refund. Then you send a revision feedback to them
@tonnies1099 we provided full refund, to which they accepted of course and responded thanks. Then we we respectfully asked for revision and they ignored all requests until the time frame to revise was closed. We offered free returns as well. No answer :( we called ebay multiple times and ebay just said "it's customer experience they can't remove it"
I agree the new AI system they have in place now will not reverse negative feedback. I was left negative feedback saying all his items was broken. I reached out and never heard back nor did the customer ask for a refund. They showed no proof and they refused to reverse the Negative.
I would love to see ebay add an option for sellers to charge a restocking fee for returns, the same as the big box stores are doing
I’d love to see eBay add an option for sellers to leave ACTUAL reviews for buyers. Not just positive reviews.
I started selling on ebay in 2009 and I could count on one hand the number of returns in several years. Then I took a decade hiatus. Am back at it and boy have things changed! So many returns and lowballs. It is frustrating and most definitely the Amazon effect as well as the general entitlement effect we see with people now. On a positive note, there have been improvements in ebay since I sold before like the app. So much easier now to look up items on the go and find the sell through rate. Did not have that option 15 years ago.
Always require a return for refund. Many times they don’t bother. They know many sellers just give in.
I agree with you. I want the item back before I issue a refund.
Yep, I’d say 50% of the time when one of my buyers wants to return it, once they realize they have to pay the return shipping they just never do it. Fine with me.
Yes! The cheap stuff! They also like to leave negative feedback for no reason to try and extort a refund.
Actually, it occurred to me today that I feel like a lot of eBay buyers treat eBay sellers like they’re going to a garage sale
Had to change some things because of these exact issues you are venting about! I stopped free returns, definitely no free shipping, and if buyer request partial, I ask for pictures to prove their claim, or start return. Tough stuff, the buyers sometimes prey on the sellers fear of negative feedback.
New seller here, definitely seeing the same thing with buyers. 2 things fix the return problem for us: 1) always charge shipping 2) buyer pays shipping for returns. They still return a lot but I don't lose anything if its just changed mind or whatever. I figure if it sells once, it will probably sell again. Also this is just psychology, but $14 + $11 looks cheaper than $25 to most people because they associate the $11 with shipping and think they are paying $14 whereas with free shipping they think they are paying $25 for the item.
I recently had a buyer try to scam us as well in a similar fashion. eBay sided with the buyer when I opened the case, but overturned on appeal. I am guessing the buyer still got their money back. It is infuriating, however I also got paid and no mark against my account, so eBay is absorbing the hit in most cases if you are willing to talk it out with them. Basically if you ask, they will side with you, even if it means siding with both sides so both sides win and eBay loses.
Agree with your frustrations. The worse ones are the Buyers who are actually Sellers themselves and they still want to low ball your item, even though you have it priced very competitively. We just block and move on. There is so much abuse of returns it is just ridiculous. Ebay needs to add an automatic restock fee to go to the Seller, like some brick and mortar places are doing as they too are facing VERY high Fake returns especially from people who get the item, use it, then return it on the 30th day. Also returns should be reduced to five days or less. Karma will go to these people who cheat others.
Spot on!!!
I do 30-day returns but I don’t offer free return shipping unless there are defects or flaws that I didn’t disclose, then I’ll pay for the return shipping.
I also do not refunds until I receive the item back, it’s the principle.
Unrealistic shopping expectations and flooding the resell market with counterfeit/copyright items is what Amazon has done to reselling on eBay!!
I don’t accept returns. So I never have any and i have been selling in eBay and many other platforms for 24 years. I do extremely detailed listings. Maybe you do this already but if you don’t you should, put a video up of the shaver working in your listing.
I flat quit selling on eBay over a year ago, and had flat-out stopped selling anything for under $25. But even then, buyer abuse was a thing and I was running into more and more idiots and chiselers even then. I got out for a laundry list of reasons, but fees on sales tax, Promoted blackmail and fraudsters played into it.
That is the reason why I never pay for shipping. My buyers have not issues paying for shipping.
Also problem people that want high dollar items for like $10 get blocked these are not people you want to deal with anyway. If they are annoying before purchasing they will be worse later block them and amazon put a stop to their returns just because so the scammers are coming to ebay
It’s been happening to me too on eBay & Poshmark. I’m so tired of it. We don’t have the money for that. It sucks. So sorry.
I’m new but I stand my ground you pay to ship it back and tell them only when it gets here in same condition it was sent they will get money back. One girl said the bag she bought with measurements was 2 inches bigger 5hen I stated I showed her my measurements and since she can’t use it send back with tags and all attached she never sent it back
You have to, as a seller, to be tuned to the market that you are selling within and this, !like most things, changes over time. Perhaps, at one point, offering free shipping and returns, gave you an edge with the selling algorithm - your listings were closer to the top. They still are - but now scam buyers (as you call them) are taking all the profits out of sales for you. You have to adapt. Increase your margins, don't do free returns or free postage or figure some other way to sort it. He isn't going to fix it for you.
I deal with a few buyers like that. eBay needs to stop doing that free return policy so those scammers won’t get their favors.
I'm right there with you.
Had a guy buy a brand new electric toothbrush, manufacturer sealed. He gets it, says it doesn't work and sends back his old used crusty electric toothbrush.
Ebay sided with me, and I didn't have to refund him, the guy left negative feedback and ebay didn't remove it.
Also, I have a watch posted for $25. Someone messaged me and asked if they could get it for $15, plus free shipping to the UK.
Been inundated with lowball offers asking for a 50% discount.
Had a brand new sealed Nespresso machine. Buyer claimed it started making a loud noise after 3 weeks of using it 🤦😭 it's out of control!!!
Hope you replied to his neg FB?
The chat here helped me deal with a Karen buyer, so I'm subscribing. I like your cactus plaque, "be a cactus....🌵 "
My store is set to No Returns. If there is something wrong with the item or misleading ad, I require a picture before return. The low ball offers are so low it's not even worth responding. I feel your pain.
I offer refund with buyer paying shipping. If never be able to afford free returns
I work at Homegoods & the amount of daily returns is unreal. Customers come in & buy new bedding & comforters for a guest room, then return it all after guests leave. They try to put it all back in package but its crumpled and you see dog hairs all over stuff. Thats just one example of how people want the stuff but don't have the money to buy it so they "borrow" it.
Wow this does not surprise me 🤦
I've been dealing with them too. It really urks me. I feel you pain
When you get an offer, always counter with at least $5 more. If you're only selling low priced items you may not have that choice. But I don't let them win the neg. They need to pay my price or my counter. Otherwise I know they aren't serious. Also I I don't offer free shipping because I list international too and I'm not paying the cost for that. Be sure you are contacting buyer to notify them about usps delays upfront and then let them know every couple days where their item is, ask them not to report the item not received until they contact you so you can submit a missing mail request. Always be polite, no matter what. Better to not respond than to argue.
Additionally on offers or messages, be sure to examine their profile and reviews. If you sell goods that you would need to measure to make a buying decision make sure you ask the buyer if the measured before you ship. Like bedspreads. People are not intelligent. Mostly just emotional buyers. Help them make sure they measured. This may avoid returns.
I get that everywhere!! It’s not just eBay and it’s the buyer that abuse the systems and expect everything free. I get really ticked off at lowball offers when it already is rock bottom price and a steal!! Grrrr
This!!
This is why I’ve been so hesitant on eBay. I like Etsy, even though it takes way longer to sell
For returns switch it to buyer pays unless product is different then description.
Also selling electronics is great profit…but many more issues.
Don't offer free shipping or free returns. I decline low ball offers. I had someone who tried to counteroffer over $1.00 too. I didn't budge. I haven't had too many issues like this. Good luck.
If they don’t want to ship back then it’s not defective
I am seeing this on Mercari with the new changes. Returns left and right.
Awful 😞
OMG…I had a buyer purchase a camera that I have on video working..he messaged me saying it’s not powering on. I had even put brand new batteries in before shipping and double checked again before packaging. No way to upload a video on return requests so I had no way to prove it. Lost $125…so angry…and this guy had over 8000 feedback…completely blindsided on this one. It really sucks.
Did you make him return the item?
Feedback means nothing for buyers. A seller cannot give a buyer negative feedback.
I changed all my listings to include shipping instead of doing free shipping over a year ago. Especially on bigger items like a golf club, even if you do free returns you don't have to eat the original shipping as well.
But that's a new thing. You used to be able to do a deduction so you don't pay the original shipping even if it was free you can still deduct the 10 or $15. Now deductions are not an option mainly because it was free shipping to begin with. But I should not have to pay shipping in both directions when they change their mind. This is definitely an eBay flaw.
Sorry that you are dealing with so many dorks who like to play games and more games with you especially the scammers
But realize there are two (2) things people love
1.) "Free" & 2.) "All you can eat"
I'm sorry yall are dealing with scammers. I recently bought a few things from ebay to avoid a scammy company and avoid giving them extra money, but still try out their products i was curious about! (Just not get roped into an auto renewing subscription or overpay for products I figured lots of people already had.) The products all came and met my expectations. I appreciate eBay sellers and everything is better when both sellers and buyers just be honest!
Alot of buyers will push the limits with almost everything they buy to see the reaction of the seller, in most cases they will be refunded and keep the product because most sellers are in fear of getting a negative. If I somehow mis-advertised or its my fault I usually give a refund and let my buyers keep the item as a practice of good customer service but if they come up with some phony story, I always tell them to open a return and send it back but I make sure to tell them to be aware that it needs to be sent back in the exact condition it was sent out in or unfortunately there will not be a refund once it arrives back to me. Alot of times they dont even respond after that because they know the product will be examined throughly. Its sad but it happens often, and as you know the more you sell, the more chances of a scam attempt happening.
Yes, I’ve noticed returns have increased as well. And on top of that I’ve had an absolute flurry of men in particular making obscenely low offers on. Good quality products that I already had priced very fairly. Like brand new golf shoes. I got an offer today for five dollars. The shoes retail for about 160. Every day I have these folks tossing me offers like that.
Maybe put a lowest amount you will accept so it will auto decline to weed out low ballers
Probably resellers themselves who are trying to take advantage of you and flip them. The thrift stores are crawling with crusty men nowadays.
I had a buyer, leave me a NEUTRAL feedback after saying she loved the item in the Feedback, lol...I did ask her to go in and change it though and she did, after I explained how to do it.
ANY items sold in USED condition is FINAL SALE and sold AS IS.
Pretty simple.
Sellers encourage this behavior by coddling buyers:
Oh you want that dirt cheap? Ok
Free shipping? Ok
Free returns? Ok
And all for the wrong reason - trying to appease some unknown entity to bless your store with more sales.
Run your business, like it's your business.
Also,Stop selling cheap things to cheap people - lose lose equation.
I had a customer by a little Native American bear ceramic. In my pictures, I had the tape measure, showing the height and showing the width. They got it and said they didn’t like it. It was too small!
when they low ball an already low cost item , i totally ignore the offer . When i get a low ball offer on something higher priced that i know has good sell through , i counter offer loud and clear with .50 cents less than the list price. Go away ! lol.. what ive seen lately is its other resellers trying to snipe up good inventory. If they are resellers i also block them.
Forgot to add , also the reason i don't offer free returns. I wont be eligible for top rated + but so be it.
good to hear its not just me with returns.
I have been selling on eBay for 24 years, nothing has changed, people are still the very same... you may have been lucky up until now. I have had some doozies over the years but, the sweet, kind and generally good people way outweigh them.
The one thing that has changed is the stuff people sell on ebay. Used to be old vintage stuff now a lot of new and Amazon pallet merchandise. Selling Amazon stuff expect Amazon buyers. It is sellers who have changed ebay
I don't do returns myself unless it's covered under Ebay return policy if it's not what is stated in the description. I usually don't get returns much anymore. II have noticed a lot of low ballers on my items that I have on sale. The lower the price the more likely that they will go lower in the price. I just tell them the lowest i'll go and if they come back with a counter offer I either take it or say no it's too low. I don't go below what I can go usually unless it's an item that I want to get rid of because I just want it to sell.
I've had people do with that person did you with keep counterbalancing to where it was going to cost you to ship it to him with free shipping, my situation was is yes I will give it to you for the price that you asked for but you pay for the shipping or I can give you this dollar off and I pay for the shipping 90% of the time they took the dollar off, and I had no further issues and the rest of the 10% they just walked away, these people nowadays are getting freaking delirious with their thought processes, I'm feeling your frustration.
Unfortunately, I think buyer scams will increase. People are losing their jobs. I think I'm done doing free shipping.
You are very down to earth. Great!
This is a serious problem! I was telling myself “it comes in waves” to normalize the issue to myself lol but over this last month I have had SO MANY refund requests or people sending me a picture of a random item saying that’s what I sent and not the actual item I sent, and they bought… it is getting ridiculous
Exactly!!! I say that too, "it comes in 3s" 😂 well now it's coming in 10s and never ends 🫣
I offer free returns, BUT buyer pays return shipping. And also no free shipping.
What you've said makes no sense.
Im new, can you do a video of how you keep track of stuff you buy at garage sales and everything to do with preparing for taxes. I'm very confused. Help! Lol
You were lucky, cause usually on swaps like you mentioned, where they return a worn or broken item, Ebay sides with the Buyer. So does Mercari. I had issues with Both.
Had a item up for $30 and someone offers $5. What a joke and rude.
I have an item listed for $550. Someone offered me $40…
People watch TH-cam and see sellers finding goods for cheap and posting vids of their big wins. So people at home watching think it’s every day business to get stuff for 50$ and pop it on eBay and sell it for 225$ lol. That may be some of the low ballers
Plus people are just dikks, so don’t sweat it
Capitalism. Everyone is trying to win the game! Imagine you found that item for $40! You would love it and try to get more out of it thats what people are trying to do with you..
TH-camrs are the ones to blame for turning everyone into lowballing wannabe resellers. You reap what you sow
Hi from England
Love your Channel your always so cheerful and happy .you know so much about what to sell ...
Dont just refund always ask for it back other wise your just attracting the idiots to your store
Anyway just want to say stay positive we love what your doing ....
Sellers please don't train customers how to get free items from you and don't build a reputation for being a seller who they can get free items from. If I dont get the item back no refund. I do not do partial refunds ever. Cost of doing business.
Exactly, always take the items back... because we have trained these ppl to do this.
I’m not seeing a lot of returns thankfully - I do offer returns but buyer pays shipping and I don’t refund original shipping. But I did have a false INAD so the buyer didn’t have to pay return shipping. I just block them and report them - not much else I can do.
I don’t have accept offers on my listings due to lowball offers. I do send out offers though.
New selling as a part time seller. Have sold in the past some few times. Last week listed couple digital cameras and only ones and zeros feedback ask questions or made offers buy the camera. A person with 1 feedback has bought one of my camera’s and now I wait see if they are real or going try scam me some how. Then the other camera same thing and a person created a brand new account with zero feedback and asked me questions on camera. I ended listening to protect myself and will list again in future.
I sold a car oem stereo for a jeep and the customer wanted to return it stating it didn’t work. I was glad to refund him but when I got the stereo back it felt lighter .. turned out he opened the stereo and stole a part that was inside the stereo and sent the stereo back not in the original form.. he scammed me and I will never sell stereo on eBay again .. lesson learned 😤😤😤
Wow thats a tough one!!
Resellers are hurting the poor. Thrift stores are swarmed with resellers grabbing whatever they can to make a profit. I quit donating to Goodwill etc, and only give to organizations that actually help the less fortunate. If you try to game the system, you'll get gamed. It's all in the business model.
This is the WORST part of selling on eBay. I have had this happen to me twice this month. Once was a Blu-ray player that I tested before I sent, it was under $20 he messaged me asking for a refund.. I told him I would give him a refund but he had to file for a refund through eBay. So he did and I instantly gave him the refund, let him keep the item. AND HE STILL LEFT ME BAD FEEDBACK SAYING HE HAD TO GET EBAY INVOLVED WITH THE REFUND. eBay took the feed back description down but I still have a negative feed back that just doesn't say anything. 😢 I had 100% since 2015. Then I had another person try the same thing with a VCR again under $20 but this time when I tested the item before I shipped it I took a picture of the vrc connected to the TV working with a hand written note with the date of testing and his username. He messaged me repeatedly asking for money but wouldn't file with eBay and eventually just said he would do a stop payment on his credit card. Like.... These people. . . I just don't know
Yeap, they are just lowlife crooks; no morals at all. Karma will get them. When you cheat someone you will end up losing more.
I had a customer want me to refund her because her house cleaner lost her laundry washing it. I said no and she said she was going to report me.
Oh goodness!! What is wrong with people 🤦
I LOVE medical supplies for resale:)
I don't ever offer free shipping. And buyer pays return shipping.
I had someone tell me that it would be cheaper to just refund them and let them have a top for free or they would force a return and cost me even more money because of the return shipping!!!? I reported them to eBay and the return ended up being abandoned, but I don't know exactly what happened. Yes, pressures on discretionary and disposable income has created menaces on the platform.
I can't even leave feedback for a seller that I bought from a couple months ago.
Cutoff is 60 days. Next time leave it sooner.
maybe its the items you sell, I have not had any increase in issues with buyers, also just my opinion but i do not do free shipping on any larger items or items with higher shipping cost, free shipping on golf clubs seems like a bad idea.
Need to start putting no partial refunds in your auctions it will let them know your not a chump to scam
Don't do free shipping. I charge shipping always and I do accurate size and weight. I also on returns if the buyer opens a return for any reason other than not as described which eBay requires shipping cost refund on returns for for not as described but on any other returns they changed there minds they don't get shipping cost back and I let the buyer now and I put it in my bio. Also scammers tend try to only scam on cheaper items switch your listing category to more expensive items. I don't deal with low ballets because they are scammers because they are trying to get over. They will even give you an excuse. They all do the same method. The only loop hole scammers have in eBay. That and try to open a dispute with there bank. Always use tracking on eBay. I only give buyers 1 chance. If you try to scam me I block them. You have to put your foot down. If you allow them to get over they will continue.
And don't be afraid of negative feedback scammers will use that to try to get you to give in. If they leave a negative feedback just leave a response explaining your side of the story. Buyers appreciate that more than just someone creating lies on your store. You don't have nothing to worry about as long as you know that you list correctly test pack great and go above and beyond for your business. You will have mostly positive feedback from great buyers who will be your returning customers followers. Be confident in yourself and your business. Don't strive for perfection. Nobody is perfect and we make mistakes. Trying to keep 100% positive feedback only holds you back. As you grow on eBay you will have people who think there right or smarter than you about your business and try to run game on you. All you have to do is recognize the pattern and everytime a customer does that you don't respond. They will go away you know your business better than anyone. Be confident in yourself and your will grow big. Work Hard Play Hard
Amazon products bring those Amazon buyers. 😩😩 But at least the good ones are appreciative they don’t have to pay full retail😊
I had a buyer return my item saying they bought it on accident (yet kept it for 2 weeks), I take returns but buyer has to pay shipping. Buyer returned the item, and after further investigation, they are a seller too! So basically they rented my item for the cost of shipping 🤔.
🤦
Thank goodness I haven't had any issues with this problem. Sorry you are.
Yes, I had a customer tell me she was really disappointed when she opened a bag that had the shirt in it she ordered. She said it smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. It was so bad that her whole front room stank from it. I told her to return the shirt for a free refund. She went away. What is really stupid is these "newer" buyers telling me that their replacement ceiling fan light shade doesn't fit. Sorry ducky but there all the same size fitter. There using them for crafts or something and just want one. The level of returns have Definity been high, I am sick of looking at feedback that I can no longer trust due to us always have to put positive review. We should at least be able to put our review of refunded buyer on the feedback so, we would know.
I notice lately I can't even sell a breast pump thats factory sealed in plastic.
And other than sports card if someone counters me over a dollar that is an automatic decline just assuming there will be issues in the future
I make them do the return I have my account set to no returns so I say I put it that way but will work with you and make them ship u5 back to me and most won’t I don’t pay return shipping they pay it so I come out even
I do have a question for everyone here; do you include a packing slip or invoice with every item you ship out to a buyer?
I don't
Nope! Waste of paper.
@@desertsellers That’s what I think too. I’ve had a buyer that is trying to return a shirt and Really be rated me because I did not send her an invoice and a return sticker. I thought I was in the twilight zone :-)
No, have never included that.
waste of paper; unless they ask for one. 99.9% don't want a packing slip.
I’ll never do free shipping again.
Well and I returned my items but got no refund
does the buyer not pay to return for change of mind in the UK i only have to pay if they selected not as described or damaged
Over the last month or so I no longer have the option to deduct. I used to be able to deduct for the shipping but now if it was free shipping there's nothing to deduct. I should be able to put in a dollar amount for the amount that shipping was but that's not an option anymore.
Too many returns lately...its gotten out of hand. Not dure what happened in the last few months.
I am just learning how to sell on eBay. How do you know how much to charge for shipping?
When you put in the item details you want to make sure to include correct weight and dimensions than select Calculated Shipping and that will make sure to charge them the correct price 😁 hope that helps.
Sounds like other sellers scamming.
What are “The bins” that you are referring to?
Amazon liquidation stores, often referred to as the bins because they put all the pallets into bins for picking.
Huge shift. But again I think it does depend on the category you sell
Agreed
Here are my 2 Cents for what it’s worth.
As far as lowball offers go don’t forget that we are living in Bidens America and people have less money now. Inflation is a thing. You have to expect that when selling items to that certain demographic. Typically the lower the price point the lower class of buyer you will get. People get offended when I say this, but it’s true.
……..
Returns are part of doing business and giving refunds because “it doesn’t make sense” is short term thinking. If we all stick together and teach buyers that on this platform at least they won’t be getting free stuff they will eventually change their ways. Even if I’m in the negative I tell them to send it back. I have way less refund this way and less scammers trying to “get me”.
Try not to let bad buyers get to you. Getting angry and frustrated gets you nowhere, but the emergency room eventually with high blood pressure. I’ve watched lots of your videos and you do pretty well in your business. Focus on that and to hell with the rest because like I always say…You can’t prevent all losses, but you can always make more sales.
Hoping the best for you in 2024! And cheers 🍻 from Texas!
Do u have to take returns
