Hell yeah there is nothing wrong with manual brakes and even manual steering as long as it’s light enough to not be too cumbersome. You get a better feel for the vehicle. Plus simpler is just better sometimes, less things to leak 👍
Crap from the ground up, this build is perfect. Those wheels really set that perfect stance off!! Man u drive some of the coolest cars/trucks on the planet. Hats off to you my friend.
Special thanks to this channel for continually providing us with some of the best builds and the ones who make it happen. The Art Morisson ties in all its innovations to make it a unique piece of rolling art. Anything can look good, but how it drives makes the ride…
Hi Shawn my favorite is 1960. The gauge package is still the best ever. Everything you need is right there. No looking all over the dashboard. Great Videos Thank You 🙏
In fairness, Zora Duntov began building mid-engine prototypes over 60 years ago, so while I get where you're coming from, if you actually know your Corvette history, the C8 certainly doesn't forget "it's roots." It's been many decades in the making and it was pretty incredible that they finally did it. There's nothing like it for the money, and that's what a Corvette has always been. But there's no comparison with regards to the styling. The driving experience on the other hand lol..
@@sidefx996 lulz. I hate it. The driver angle and position is "cockpit" and not traditional "saddle" because of the mid engine layout. Also the "C8" fell away from the tree as the "blue collar man's sports car" as it is basically outside of basic garage maintainance (you need lift and custom cradle, and some expensive special tools.) It's not a "Corvette." It's a Hyundai 458
Perfect 🥰 Jason, right components, forged wheels, badass job, good sound to. Thanks again Shawn, keep up the awesome 👌 video's. You are blessed to drive and ride in all these different buids.
Love those wheels with the spinner. Been looking for a set for my 63 convertible to go with suspension upgrades when I do them. These just made the list!
For classic muscle cars, I was never into restomods, I always thought they should be restored OEM, that is until I saw this one, I could definitely own a restomod like this !!
I agree! The car is absolutely awesome... either way, but I was also thinking some white coves would have improved the look and brought the car back to its historical roots. Interior white would have smashed it out of the ballpark. Have a great day brock2762
Gorgeous car! Those guys know how to do a killer C1 Vette. I remember one of the initial videos on the channel about the Death Star, that 54 Corvette with the LS9 engine. What a masterpiece. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
A true car guy knows that's a Vette! No emblems needed! Soo in the meantime Shawn I'm going to play Powerball and MegaMillon Lotteries this week. 😁😁😁😁😁
Top quality parts that's where it starts, that's the difference, real builders can afford the good stuff where most people can only afford what they can afford or what a customers budget is not everyone has the money for the best. you can see the quality of this car beautiful
Happy new year Shawn. Have a great year and keep posting those videos. Nice build with nice details. In my own language happy new year = Gelukkig nieuwjaar
Being a owner of a 62 red w/black int. black hardtop, 535 hp. Would say its got to be a stick shift. My wife & daughter love stick , its way more fun. Bought at 17, in 1974.
@@AutotopiaLA imagine how much money the actual owner of this car would off saved if they had spent a week on the phone with a heap of suppliers and orchestrated the build themselves ,i understand its a exspensive build and i heard a number somewhere round the hundreds of thousands to assemble this Vette well im tippin if thats the figure more than half would be labour costs ,manual brakes in a near 500 horse in a 1400 kilo car ,thats like putting that motor in a Corolla ,ridiculous as id feel safer with some type of brake assistance especially as that car will spend its life getting masturbated over in the mancave than being pushed hard ,aint gonna happen ,YOU more than anybody should realise the importance of being able to stop each and everytime
Fantastic build but I don't agree with the solid red paint on the outside with no trim. I'd rather see a two-tone paint job and maybe the Chrome strip also. But the rest of this car is solid as a rock. By the way I owned a 1961 Corvette almost identical to this back in 1972. The one complaint I had about the car was the 283 single four barrel just did not have the power that it needed.
Can anyone out there explain the differences between a restomod, a streetrod, a pro-street, and a pro-touring? I grew up with my dad building and trading vintage originals and a handful of street rods, but that was 40 years ago. I remember when pro-street was trending and new.
The stuff dreams are made of...I love the older Vettes
those tinted headlights gotta go. absolutely awful choice.
I love every time Jason Pecikonis / Timeless Kustoms is featured, his business makes great cars.
They sure do and we’ve got more coming up quickly with Jason
There is soooooooooooo much to love about this car
I agree! Especially driving it
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE CAR EVERRRRRR
Rolling Art!!!👍👍👍

I’ll keep the powered steering but sure do love manual brakes
Ooh Shawn you look good behind the wheel. And that all red interior I love!
I’d drive this on just about any nice day out
Crap from the ground up, this build is perfect. Those wheels really set that perfect stance off!! Man u drive some of the coolest cars/trucks on the planet. Hats off to you my friend.
I loved driving this one! And I’m not big on early Vettes but what a class build
That is one SICK AF C1
I agree!
Very cool!!!!!!!!
Tod and Buz would love that car. Looks great!
The front end looks absolutely beautiful. That custom dash setup is very cool way to add modern tech to an old ride.
Yep. They really nailed it on this one

What an incredible car and I love the work from the guys at Timeless Kustoms. Thank you again for sharing with us this car.
Red on Red looks great. Killer build Timeless!
I love it. They kill it on their builds!
Super clean build

Such a clean car and drives perfectly
GREAT VIDEO SHAWN!!! I LOVE THR UPGRADES! SHE CAME OUT BEAUTIFUL!!!
She sure is a beauty!
That’s a great car, great episode, Jason a kool dude! Make me want to work harder and get my project done
Thanks and definitely a great car. Jason and his crew build some amazing rides
Great build, I do believe the C1 62 were all one color, 61 and prior had the painted coves.
You right! Last year of the C1 and the only one with body color cove.
Crystal clear imagery and stunning scenery! Looking good.
Thanks…great build!

Kinda wish they would have did the white coves without the trim, a little white in the interior and retained the badges but either way shes a beauty!!
Love/hate on the solid paint. I love it but not for everyone
It's a 62. 62's we're the only year where the cove matched the body color from the factory so technically it's correct.

I ran manual brakes on my 63 impala. I now have a Hydro boost
I love manual brakes but no issue with boost either

Nice build !!!

Awesome car and review. How long did the build take?
I forgot to ask how long it took. Sorry about that
Awesome ride

I can hear Prince singing Little Red Corvette. 🏎
I hear it too!
Thing works.
Really nicely
Nice vette 👍👍
She’s a pretty one for sure
That is a awesome car 👍🏽👍👊 and I can fit it I'm only 5,7 definitely a summer car to 😀👍
I’m 5’11” and got no problem. Tight but still would drive it all day long
6:44 "I'm old and I'm Jewish so I'm starting to shrink" 🤣
Sad but true lol!
2022 with so many outsourced parts it seems car builders are fast becoming car assemblers
Don’t forget about the tons of fab work though

Nice! I hate to do this but where is the horn button? The steering wheel looks unfinished.
Minutes 8.59 review and tour snap on tool box please that looks epic
_I'm old and Jewish and I'm starting to shrink._ Priceless! Never admit the shrinkage! Hahaha.

I love the C1 corvettes but at 6'2" I just don't fit into that cockpit. Beautiful build.
It's not as tight as you'd think because it's a century older than us.

I love how they removed the “cove” two tone but some people seem to hate it
What color was used for this car?
I forgot to ask the color name/number but knowing Jason it’s a custom blend of PPG products
Sick ride but I think it needs the cove trim.
Removable hardtop?
Yessir
INSTALL THE HORN BUTTON COVER, PLEASE!
A few little things to complete including the horn button. It’ll be done before the owner gets it
@@AutotopiaLA Shawn, no worries , your video is Awesome!
@@jeffalessi thank you!
I dont know about the digital stuff in the dash......i think the c1 gauges are essential for this model
What an awesome ride, but at 6'4" there is NO way I'd fit in the thing. 😆👍
Everything looks great, but why does the pedal box look cheap compared to the rest of the car?
👍🏽
My knees would be up in my teeth but I’d love to try driving it 👍
Worth suffering over for sure lol!
500k over or under?
I’d say under by a couple hundred K
