What I think Haku meant by him asking Naruto is there someone who is precious to him, I think he meant is there someone he really cares about, and would lay his life down for. I don’t think he meant if there was someone he was in love with, but he could have meant that too.
As someone who loves the show, please don't be afraid to skip the fillers and the numerous flashbacks in the later episodes they truly are the definition of padding.
