- Russia has captured another village in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region. The Russian Army said that it has "liberated the town of Chigari" in the Donetsk region. On Saturday, Kyiv said that fiercest fighting was taking place near this town. To counter Ukraine's resistance, Vladimir Putin's army went all-out in its attack. Moscow bombarded Ukrainian army positions, forcing its troops to retreat.

They been fighting in Donetsk almost three years. This means the Russians have technically not secured any regions of Ukraine.

Geopolitics puts Ukraine as part of the east, one of the Slavic states. Not part of the west. As long as it is trying (presuming it doesn't fade away) to be part of the west it will be treated like a stray dog. If it were to embrace it's fellow Slavic states, it could actually grow into a potent nation.

Giving a herd of people all the weapons you can think of does not make a potent and effective military. It takes time to train up to proficiency and even more time to integrate new weapons and technology into the field.

Yes but the weapons they are already trained on . Receiving more of and ammo for them in time makes a difference. A weapons and no ammo for it makes it useless

As quickly as the Ukrainian ranks are being cycled through, none of the Ukrainian military has had time to develop a proper relationship with the equipment they are using. If they don't have time to develop that relationship, there is no possible way they can understand how to most effectively integrate it into the battlefield.
To say that the arms aren't new is to admit nato and US pre-emptive involvement. To say that the Ukrainians have adequately integrated the new weaponry is to admit that US hand is directly involved.
