There isn't no amount of weapons or planes that will turn ukraine around. Most importantly is the lack of man power considering estimates are 500+ thousand dead and over a million disabled/ injured. America and nato has turned Russia into a well trained and mechanized army now. Between America and nato they don't have the man power or military capability to take over Russia. They have nuclear weapons but no air defense.Russia on the other hand does have an air defense and more nuclear weapons total than all the west nations combined. As an American and glad that Putin has more sense and temperament than the west. If the tables were turned we'd already be dead.

Russia do not longer receive as much money as before 2022 for earthgas to Europe and oil.
Russia may sell some gas to China- but to a much lower price and less than 10% of what was sold to Europe.
The price of both oil and gas has being going down for the last 1.5 year all over the world.
Russia is longer selling as much of other products to the west.
Add to this more than 85% of western companies has left Russia and no longer doing business.
Some countries around the world "help" Russia buying products otherwise sanctionized. But to a much higher price.

Russia industrial productuon is now target against warproduction- more than 30% are for the war. Result: No earning from industrial production.
The former very big export of weapons are heavy reduced .
Many contries have stop buying russian military equipment because they see how bad russian weapons works in Ukrain.

Russia has been capturing one village per day since a couple of weeks. So this was not an "answer", it was only business as usual. The real answer was the massive missile strike of a few days ago, you could call it a preemptive answer, or threat... but obviously Nato didn't listen. And why would Nato listen ? The suit-n-tie Nato leaders sitting in their office are not ukrainian, they don't have family in ukraine, they don't have relatives in ukraine... to them, ukrainian lives are just figures on an excel sheet.
Nato assured Ukraine its admission ? Yes, but it didn't say which part.... because that's the plan now, allow russia to capture some territory, then split Ukraine in 3 parts : a nato-ripe part to the west, a buffer part in the middle, and a russian-captured part to the east. Nato already started extending its aerial defenses over the nato-ripe part of Ukraine...

In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.

Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.

The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).
The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter.
