What most people don't realise is that becoming a musician is like acting. Just that you not only acting in film but acting in "reality" in general. Hence the term "persona". Drake was an actor before a musician and that's what makes him such a great "actor" in the music industry. He's not even hood and not a product of the hip hop culture, yet he has more #1 hits on the billboard more than any true cultured hip hop artists. The whole game is about acting and the best actor always wins. Teflon didn't have to really be Rick Ross, he just had to act like him. And that made him the money and the fame. None of this should come as a surprise. Every musician putting on a show. Difference is that film actors drop their character when the film (or series) ends. Musicians keep it going for the rest of their career until they get "exposed" for their "lies". It's all acting man

FYI they can go to college and legal jobs! Rappers are entertainers, they are a different kind of writers and actors. So what have we learn from this video?
Body on top of body and you know rick reading my miranda rights
Faking your image instead of being yourself is not a good thing to promote. It only contributes to the problem. That is why I have a problem with it, however I would be a hypocrite if i said I didn't listen to somebody like rick ross.
I remember when 50 sonned Rick Ross. 😂
It’s crazy that a record company has a department that does background checks just to authenticate rappers claims of criminal history to expose them as liars.
Well drake didn’t start from the bottom he a actor
It's crazy how not having had a hard life is considered wack, smh.
Tyga is my cousin and in fact he grew up in Compton and The Valley. His dad was a big time drug dealer and once he went to jail for life, Tyga life changed
Sorry... still sucks. Plus... dating young Kylie🤮
Ross might’ve fake his lifestyle but his pen and pad got him his respect in the rap game
Something messed up at 11:21
thx, no idea how that happened -_-
Idc if he faked it or not but plies music from like 2007 to 2012 was 🔥
Teflon THE don, born in 1967😂😂😂😂! Why?
I met Rick Ross at a Chili’s restaurant in San Bruno near San Francisco international airport.
I went up there to ask him for a autograph and he just stared at me, eyes completely bloodshot from smoking too much weed and just said “huh”? Most awkward experience meeting celebrity ever.
Then I guess his manager, or somebody told me to leave him alone, and I was already sitting down, which was weird. Him and his entourage of 20 people left out the back, leaving tons and tons of dishes, and according to the waiters, he didn’t leave a tip.
1967? Dudes a damn senior citizen!!
I'm surprised that you didn't mention the infamous "Color Money" incident that happened to Plies in Tallahassee
These videos are great kid
Tyga's hairline got slapped back.
Yeah I never understood how a former cop and a rich Canadian actor got in the game 🤷
This list really could have majority of the game on it. But the fans know who really living what they say because they can't stay out of jail even after making it
I don't understand what's so wrong about Rick ross working at a prison. Like all musicians He had a life before he picked the mic up. He had to make a living before making it big
Problem is is that you can't glorify the criminal lifestyle and then turn around and work for the law. He also built his rap rep off the the real freeway Ricky Ross. Had he been truthful from the jump people would've respected him more
@@blkwarriorspirit5528 true. When you put it that way it makes sense. He wasn't honest with his fans or the people who listen to him
@@blkwarriorspirit5528didn't even cash the man out either, he the biggest clown out there, he can rap his ass off but ain't nobody believing nan line 😂😂😂
@@paranoyd29906 lol yep good point ✌🏿
In VA prison, I saw a lot of Rick Ross fans turn against him when it became confirmed that he was a former CO, but by that time, they had already bought his albums.
where drake at?
Drakes a popstar who sings about relationships, we know he soft
Already sooo many videos on drake rn
Everybody knows Drake is fake. He was an actor lol 😂
It's all acting man
Suburban white kids talking about the credibility of rappers will always be cringe, but atleast you did it well
