In today's Bali vlog we take you with us on a day in the life living in Canggu, Bali. We start our day as usual with Yoga & Jui Jitsu followed by some work and a nice lunch.
We also take you with us to record our Brand new podcast episode followed by dinner at our new favourite local warung (Ramen 88).

What exactly did you two eat for your lunch? Sometimes, it is not always easy to tell just by looking at something, in your videos.

I lived six years, Denpasar and Sanur, seriously, know where the health facilities are, seven foot venomous snake outside our kitchen. no joke.
One thing i really notice is, western people treat avocado as vegetable and make savory stuff with it, while indonesian (or southeast asia) treat it as fruit, and make sweet stuff like smoothie or alpukat kocok.
We’ve noticed that as well! We had never seen avocado juice before coming here 🤗
Thank you so much, L & M! I will be moving to IN in June and I 've never been there. This , and your other videos, are so helpful and down-to-Earth. It's nice to see the life of normal folks living there as opposed to some other channels where you know ( very likely)those people are quite well-off and their POV , rent, cost of living are not my style. You two are very much like me, hence your videos are my jam :) Keep up the awesome channel and work life balance!
When we arrived in Canggu, we found out that the gyms are quite expensive here and have almost european prices.. the only one we found which is quite affordable is the Victory Fitness CLub, all what you need and we were quite happy with it :)
Alots of place in balli close with nature .i love it

the habits of Indonesian people when ordering packaged food. meaning that if the food is not finished in the restaurant they can ask the waiter to boil it. so no need to be ashamed. it's a normal thing. than food that doesn't run out and is wasted

Great to see another vid from u guys. Will finally get there next Saturday! Yay! Just a question Re scooters. Did you guys already know how to ride a scooter or motorbike before? How quickly did you learn to ride in Bali? It’s obvs very different to driving in Aus. For example lots of drivers, also I recall staying in Canggu a few years ago and the road were even worse than Ubud, potholes etc
I’m going to be there several weeks and know you just technically need an international drivers license to drive scooter in Bali but I don’t know where to get travel insurance to cover this since I only have a car license. Any advice on this would be great. Thanks 🙏
Hey! Lloyd knew how to before we came here but Mandy learned in Bali over 3 months. You can get lessons here in Bali which we really recommend because as you said it is quite different than Australia.
You do need either an International drivers license or an Indonesian License.
@@LloydandMandy thanks so much guys. The scooter school in Canggu is far from Nusa Dua and Ubud but I think it’d be helpful. May I ask how many lessons Mandy took before she went on road by herself? Also do you know of any insurers either in AUS or Bali that would cover scooter hire. Or did the scooter place offer insurance?
I think a video on scooter hires, tips, dos and don’ts would be popular. I’ve found a couple but think you guys would do a great job. Cheers

Always love watching your videos. Moving to Bali is a very real possibility for my hubby and I. Now, question: how do you find driving around on a scooter? We booked a 6-week trip to Bali starting at the end of May and we are wondering about renting scooters, but I have never driven one! That, plus driving on the left, I am not sure it's a good idea! LOL And we are not 20 anymore! What about renting a car instead? Are we allowed as foreigners? We are getting our international driving license before we go; do you need an Indonesian license as well?
You can rent a car for sure, might be a better idea if you don’t feel confident in a scooter
You should get a scooter only for short distances trip, like going to a nearby stores / simple groceries. Until you're used to driving it before going further out. There are options to rent car in monthly basis too. Foreigners usually have this leeway with the police, especially with scooters, as long you put helmet on and don't break traffic laws. International driving license should work also. No need for Indonesian license.
Hey Mandy! Wondering if you bought your own helmet or you're using the one that comes with the scooter rental? I'm finding them to be too big for me (and a bit too light in my opinion) I'm in Canggu and considering buying my own helmet to feel a bit safer as we're staying for 6 months. If you bought your own may I ask where you got it from? Thank you xxx

Hi Lloyd and Mandy! Love the videos, planning on moving to Bali for at least a couple of months this year. Just an idea for you guys: I saw that you had problems with buying the merch at the local shop. You can use a print on demand service to have your merch printed on hoodies/T's etc. Hope this is helpfull! :)

Ramen was so good! We had it from Gojek a couple days later though and was not as good - so we recommend actually going there to eat! :)

@@LloydandMandy hold still the first chopstick on your middle finger firmly, then hold the second chopstick by your index finger and thumb together. Only The second chopstick that moves, then to clip the object slowly direct it to the first chopstick to hold the object firmly with both of the chopsticks.
