I would suggest staining the wood of the media console/chairs/ furniture you don’t like the color of and possibly spray paint the couches legs to a gold to match the table better!
I love the mirror as a headboard! Maybe you could paint the TV stand black and even tint the glass (I think the sorry girls has video?) Also, the gold mirror in the living room would look great in the bedroom. Maybe the nesting tables as side tables and the black IKEA side tables as side tables for the couch? I love the thrifted design though!
Yes!! I put the gold mirror in the bedroom for now, but the nesting tables I wasn’t really a fan of as the nightstand because I’d really like a drawer 🙈 maybe in time I’ll figure it out
I love the honesty of just growing into things. I'm still figuring out some of my own room remodeling, and appreciate you sharing some inspiration. Honestly, I was drawn to your videos the first time I saw your beautiful cat. I have a matching girl cat, and I used to have her brother, both rescued, and now only the girl, but when I see your cat, I kinda think, "there is her match again" and it makes a fuzzy warm feeling in my heart even though I know it's not my old kitty, still feels great to see. Thanks, and peace.
Awww I love that! This is my first cat and I never realized how wonderful they are. I was always a “dog person” until Raleigh introduced me to the joys of cat ownership 😹
You guys place look lovely, I would totally recommend Lone fox ( Drew) who is a home decor / DIY he is incredible, he's a youtuber. I sense your home style is Similar to him and I feel like you & hubby might do some DIYs, I totally recommend drew for ideas. I mean you can always contact Drew as well i think he would totally respond as he help people to how to recreate the rooms and space ( he has two videos of recreating people home by using photoshop) Also try pinterest great spot to find your aesthetic. Lastly I love the mirror behind the bed, I thought it was part of the bed lol. That would of be really cool but idk if that's the vibe your going for (vintage princess diaries, Victorian chic).
Thanks for sharing a progress report! I know from experience starting fresh and trying to find a new place for things can feel empty, messy and lonely but you will get into your groove and everything will find a home soon- it will all fall into place
The couch and mirror remind me of the early 90’s style and early 2000. I remember it was all the rage. My mom had a lot of stuff like that. I think your aesthetic is very vintage in that regard. I am sure its gonna look awesome!
Love love LOVE your new place! If you are concerned about your plants getting enough lighting in your bedroom, you should get some grow lights! GE makes a great grow light that provides a broad spectrum of light for your plants that also gives of a natural light color! I use them in my dim studio space and they work great as well as provide some extra lighting for me. They're on amazon for 10 bucks!
Snake plants (sansevieria) and ZZ plants would be great for an area with low lighting. Pothos will thrive in more lightening but will do fine in an area that just gets morning light. Your calathea might be okay, they don't require a ton of bright light. I keep mine in an area where it mostly gets just morning light. also, idk if it already happened, but dont be surprised if your maiden hair fern goes south with the move. they are so sensitive. Mine got so brown and sad within days of moving.
Yes! I've been waiting for this video. Your hard work and the effort into your channel, inspires me to work hard during my High School year. Love your videos Audrie! ♡
Beautiful place, Audrie! Great start with the new couches and mirror. You'll find new goodies in no time at all. Make it fun. You always seem to find the best stuff at the flea markets you go to.
Hi Audrie! I wish I could bump into you one day while thrift shopping in a flea market. I'm a fan! Sending you socially-distanced love from the Philippines! 🤗
Based on those couches and the antique mirror, I feel like you’d really like Kelly (AndIGetDressed)’s home decor style if you’re looking for inspiration!
I really loveeee how you put the mirror as a temporary headboard. Looks so cooool!! Can’t wait to see the process unravel with the decor 👀 also for getting used cheap furniture try fb marketplace. I think there might be groups you can join if you’re up for it!!
I’ve been looking! Problem is my car is so small (if you remember lol) and the stuff I usually like needs to be picked up. Everything we’ve gotten so far has either fit in the backseat or was able to be delivered
Try moving the sofas so they're facing each other perpendicular to the TV, just so they aren't pressed up against the wall, might allow you to section off the room better, you might not have enough space idk
There’s enough space, but I think I wanna figure out what I’m doing with the “entryway” first and find a coffee table before I decide on placement. It’s definitely a little awkward right now, but it’s not like anyone is coming over to see it sooooo 😹🙈
For the chairs, maybe a coat of paint?? & add some tie chair cushions to match whatever style you choose to go with ?? I think that would make them look a tad better & could save you $$. The space looks light//fresh so far!
I think it’s more the style of the chair that I don’t like - I’d like to replace the chairs so it’s not so matchy-matchy with the table... maybe with a more modern style as a nice contrast? I just need to figure out what color/style/budget I’m working with. This is my first dining table so I’m very excited! 🙈🙈
I actually REALLY love the dining room - i think its near perfect. I even like the chairs - they may be too bulky - but i think the tile texture looks lovely- maybe you can bring in a bit more stained dark wood into the rest of the house? 🤷🏽♀️
congrats on moving to a bigger space! Love the new mirror :) Could you please sometime maybe share your thrifting tips and how you haggle for a cheaper price?
I have a video from a couple of years ago on that! Same tips still. As for haggling, it’s just practice really - kind of have to get a feeling for the vendor and decide if you think they’re willing to go lower than the sticker price. Sometimes if I’m taking too long to decide, the vendor will start to negotiate with me to get me to leave 😹
@@AudrieStorme Ahhh ok! will check it out. Guess I gotta get out of my comfort zone and just do it! haha. Thanks for your tips Audrie. Lovely video as always~
I’ve also moved recently and I’m struggling with the blank white walls too 😫 yours is looking cute as always! Can’t wait to see the next decor update video 🤩
Chairs I’d try Wayfair:-) some cute pieces to hang on the wall perhaps Etsy! And maybe some sofa covers and a little DIY Spray paint table moment would help with color coordinating. Not sure if my 2 cents help but anyways- you look very pretty, Audrie ☺️
Ahhh thank you for watching! I’m still trying to figure out how I’d like to move forward from here - I think it’s just going to take time and patience ❤️
hey girl! ive been obsessed with your content for a minute and i know you thrifted the table but is there any chance you know the name of the brand? it’s soooooo cute 🤍 anyways, keep making content. your film videos are so inspirational 🥰
Honestly this is one of my easiest plants to care for! I’ve grown it from a little baby maranta and repotted it once to this large terracotta plant. When the top soil is dry, I’ll water it in the shower (soil and leaves) and leave it in a bright spot that gets some direct rays during the day (but not all day). Hope this helps 😅
hey Audrie! the style of those couches reminds me of a mix between dark academia and industrial with the leather and metal, but the couch leg shape makes me think of a 70s kind of style! really cool find :) i saw some other people recommended Lone Fox which i totally agree with; he and XO MaCenna are my 2 favorite DIY/Interior TH-camrs! they have great renter friendly tips and MaCenna also has videos about different types of Interior Styles and how to find/define your own style! it's incredibly helpful and i would absolutely recommend you check out that video of hers :)
I'm actually obsessed with that mirror as a headboard! The moment I saw it I was in love! When I hear you say the vibe of the new couches you got is what you are going for I think of 80s modern. Like HellaJam, it's kind of what she is going for right now. I would think that side tables like this would look awesome www.pinterest.com/pin/72339137744907061/ and then using smoke glass lamps like some of the ones Ikea has right now. Maybe that's not the vibe you meant but that's what I picture with couches like that. I think the tv stand fits that style as well but you could just paint the orangy wood a cream or taupe or some other lighter color. THe new mirror and your side chair also go with that curvy vibe! My last suggestion is to try a ZZ Plant for your bedroom. We get absolutely no direct sun in our bedroom and I got one about 4 months ago. Not only is it still alive, it has new growth. They are amazing plants!
Yes - 100% the style I’m looking for! 80’s modern for sure. I think my 80’s obsession started with my car (I drive a 1985 Toyota Camry) and ever since then, I’ve kind of been leaving my more “bohemian” sense of style and gravitating towards that. For the TV stand, I forgot to say this in the voiceover, but I also think it’s a little short (length-wise) for the wall and then too deep (from the wall forward). Idk though - this is all I can afford for now after buying the couches, table and mirror lol 😹🙈 but thank you so much for your recommendations!
What i don't understand is the buying just so you have something. Isn't it normal that a place has to expand and you get to know it? You could use the side table in the living room as night stands and the little suitcases as sidetable, then you don't have to paint and the nightstands would be as golden as the headframe 😊
I love your NEW place, I think u r without too much ideas but I know u r gonna make some new stuff there... Btw, i love your donkey tail sedum under your tv. You inspire me audrie idk how but yes

That bedframe is so gorgeous, looks like it belongs in a palace 😍
I love how ornate it is - I’m very happy my mom didn’t want it anymore 🙈
I would suggest staining the wood of the media console/chairs/ furniture you don’t like the color of and possibly spray paint the couches legs to a gold to match the table better!
I LOVE EVERYTHING U CREATE
I agree! Everything from home-styling, plant curation, video editing, music playlists etc
You could do mirrors but in frames like the ones you’d use for paintings. Like one entire wall. So it’s minimal and mirrors make the room bigger
Literally my dream situation 🙈 mirrors are so expensive though 😩 maybe after we get a coffee table and a work desk for Raleigh
Everything you do looks so cinema-worthy i can't-
styling a home is so difficult but I love how everything is coming together. and the mirror you thrifted is so pretty!

I grew up with this mirror so it definitely feels like a special piece! It’s so heavy though, so it might just sit as my headboard for a while 😹
