Yanmar 324 Extreme Bush hogging / rotary cutter testing

Yanmar 324 with a root grapple, fluid in rear tires and a 4' Badboy rotary cutter tackling some very over grown land.
Some stuff over 15' feet in places and 3" inches or thicker. My philosophy was if my tractor can push it over than the rotary cutter can cut it up and this proved to be true in most cases... Of course with using common sense also to not tear up my tractor or cutter. lol

Curious if you think a 5’ rotary cutter is to much for the 324? Tia

Not for the type of cutting you see me doing in this video. But it would handle a 5' fine if you wanted to bush hog overgrown fields of thick, tall grass and vines, some light or small bushes, and things like that. I would recommend a 4' if you plan on doing anything over a 1.5" just so your not dragging the tractor down

I would have liked to watch more of the video in real time. Do you have to worry about damaging the tractors oil pan? Or any other parts? Thanks for showing me how to do this. I have the same tractor.

Sorry for the supper late reply. The only thing I'm ever worried about is the main hydrostatic filter getting crushed. I have sence installed Yanmars Lazer cut skid plate. It works great and give you some peace of mind while doing stuff like this

I have the sa424. What kind of saw press do u have to hold your chain saw. Have u used a flail mower with your tractor. I have been going back and forth on what one I want bush hog or flail mower

I use the (Saw haul) connected onto my loader arm to carry my saw. The thing works great!
I run a 4ft bush hog to cut heavy stuff, but I love how the flail mower pulverizes what ever it cuts and leaves almost no mess like the bush hog does
