CONGRATS a WELL DONE JOB on a BEAT, I am importing my first HB and all what I heard from you is so HELPFUL, i.m going to be in contact with you, cause on finding information on about this lovely "toy" I heaven`t find anybody so PROFESSINAL as you , you should do more on other cars, get this video to the great brands, I`ll bet they will give you a job and should be well payed THANKS so Very much
Great video! I dont have a lot of plans for mine, I just want to get it to stop smoking so much, prob just gonna have to replace the rings and seals..timing belt, water pump, clutch, etc...smh
How much power gain could one expect from an aftermarket exhaust, radiator, and tune? P.S. You're doing the Kei god's work. This information is priceless.
There are some auction listing's for Beat ECUs with the ROM changed, but there's not much proof they actually give you any gains so I wouldn't bother. At the end of the day, the Beat engine already puts out close to 100bhp per litre which makes it a very highly tuned engine as stock, so you won't see any (or much) gains from an exhaust. Radiator won't improve bhp, but would be beneficial if you plan to track the car. There are some people offering full ecu kits to swap to a modern ecu - fairly expensive, and again won't bump the power all that much. You're missing the point of a Beat if you want more power... the joy is in wringing every last bit of rpm out of that screaming engine and laughing all the way. I don't get the engine swap thing for Beats - at that point go buy something else.
@@Jazda I'm exploring possibilities. Obviously I'm not trying to turn it into a engine swapped 200hp death trap. But from what I've seen, it does seem a little dangerously slow for American roads. And some have said that it struggles to climb steeper mountain roads and requires a downshift all the way to 3rd. Even just a bump to around 80hp would be nice to 1: make it a little more fun but primarily 2: made more suitable for American roads.
Getting 17 more bhp from a car engine doesn't sound like a tough challenge, but it would cost you an awful lot with a Beat. If power is the goal, you'd be far better off with a Cappuccino. You'd get one to 80bhp with minimal mods and it will have way more torque for the uphills.
@@Jazda I think I might just get both to be honest. I live in Japan right now but will be heading back to America after a few years. I can see that the Capp is far better from a tuning perspective but the Beat honestly just looks so much better.
I kept it for 18 months and it was flawless. I wanted to free up some cash so traded down to a cheaper car (Honda Jazz). I'd love to try an i3s and if I was buying one again, I'd get a pure electric one as I rarely ever used the REx engine.
hmm... can't see my comment I made. Might be held back for review by you Jazda. Might be due to the links/urls i the comment I made. Also looking for schematics for a S2000 frame for the Beat ;)
@@Jazda I will retype it then. Looking for a schematic for fitting the S2000 seat in a Beat. The Beat seats bolt on the bottom and the S2000 are bolted on the sides and much wider. I have the S2000 seats already and I have my Beat back. If I get it done I will make a video and get the measurements done.
Thank you for this! New beat owner here🏎️🏎️
I think this is the first time seeing your video! Thank you for the shout out. :)
No probs. Keep doing what you're doing!
Yes!! Holy cow that was an epic video. Thanks for putting that together! I had no idea S660 brakes fit. Time to source some Brembos bwahaha!
Glad I could help. Looking forward to your electric Beat build!
@@Jazda thanks! I'm excited to get back into that soon. Your weightloss video is going to come in handy!
Great video thank you!
So glad you kept your Beat :--)
this is so damn helpful thank you so much!!!

Any update on the bmw i3? I’m very inclined to buy one! How has it held up all these years? Is it reliable

Can you ship the t shirts to overseas Armed Forces adresses by chance?
Fairly sure it can. Enter the address in the checkout and it should let you know if it's not possible.

Not blocked by me, and I don't see any comments held for review. You looking for schematics for a Beat or an S2000?

@@avanreijn many have swapped S2000 seats. It’s a trial an error.
