    Whew this video came at the very right time. As a person who overthinks a lot due to past traumas during childhood, it gets very difficult. I catch myself obsessively thinking about the what ifs, "what if this doesn't work out, what if I don't succeed", it's debilitating. Getting a little vulnerable here, I'm someone who has a severe fear of getting sick and throwing up or watching other people do it (it's called emetophobia, would really like to know if anyone else goes through this as well!) and from the past few days I've been obsessively thinking about what if my fear comes to reality, it truly effects the way a person lives their life due to excessive fear and irrational thoughts. It's like constantly living in a fight-flight mode. We deserve to live rather than just surviving! I hope as we all watch this video, we can calm our mind down a bit. By the way, Tam! You look so divine my goodness!!! 😍❤

      I feel this completely. I work on myself so hard and maybe my failures are due to this mindset. But I'm moving forward. I hope you are okay, it's hard, it's okay but we will be loved by ourselves (that child wound) and move forward to succeed.

    Positive overthinking spiral: "If it doesn't go according to plan, guess what, I ended up having a great time and I learned some great lessons that I'll then be taking as wisdom into the next part of my life. It's a win-win scenario. I am a lucky girl and everything works in my favor. Even if that didn't go to plan, I got wisdom from it. If it didn't go the way I wanted, it's OK it wasn't meant for me and I know the new path I'm redirected on will take me to the place I truly deserve because I am divinely protected. The universe does not work against me. I always get what I want, whether I know it at the time or not."

    I'm going to watch this video every day. I'm actually in therapy for this. I think of all the worst possible case scenarios since I was very young. It's so hard to change your thought patterns, but not impossible. Thanks for the motivation Tam!

I’m pretty confident, but deep down I’ve struggled with self love and truly believing my high self worth. I’m a Christian, and a lot of what you teach are all deeply routed in the Bible like high standards, self love, kindness, not surrounding yourself with “fools” or “low vibrations” as you call it.     Thanks for what you’re doing. My overthinking tends to manifest when something big is about to happens. Then, my brain switches to the overriding mode as a copying mechanism. It almost cost me my best friend. I got to the point to ask her if I have ever done something to upset her. Her reply was like “you gotta stop overthinking”.

    Thanks a lot Tam, I was in dire need of advice. Lately I've been getting anxiety attacks and comparing myself with others. I recently got in 10th grade and it has been hectic. I always top in my class and pretty much my entire personality is based on that. If that one thing is taken away from me, I'm just a piece of crap. A new girl came in my class last month and as much as I hate to admit, she is much more smarter and better than me. Everyone in my class have been saying things like I'll be replaced by her and all. This thought had been really eating me. We have our tests next month and I just can't focus. My mind is always occupied with negativity and various thoughts such as what if I lose to her? What if I fail? Do i even have a chance of beating her? To sum up, I have been struggling and this video of yours had definitely changed my way of perceiving things.

    Rant:
    I have been going through a tough time these past 2-3months. I had thought that things got better, but turns out they haven’t. I’ve been at my worse. I’ve been so stressed, anxious, and sad for the past two years since I’ve entered high school. Everything is so hard for me. I’m struggling with my grades, I’ve always been a straight A student, and now things have fallen apart since I haven’t started off strong from the beginning. So now, since then, I’ve always been dwelling on things, I’ve lost motivation to do anything, I’ve lost interest on the things I used to love/d, I’m really lazy, I overthink A LOT, I don’t trust myself etc.. It wasn’t like this at the start of this school year but things switched up now. These past few days I have been crying myself to sleep. It’s getting so worse till the point where I just can’t wait for the night to come so I can secretly go to bed and cry my heart out. I cry till I feel numb. And I wake up with swollen eyes. I’m so stressed especially these weeks since it’s like exams and grades season, and I keep messing up some things. And I give up and loose my concentration when I know something went wrong. I’ve come to the conclusion where I think I know and understand why I feel like this. It’s fear of failure. I fear that I’ll let my parents down and myself, and I won’t get to build the life I wanna live. I feel like the failure of the household. It’s painful to see other people succeed and improve while.. I fail, you get what I mean? And it does create some form of jealousy, I would word it as hatred but yes jealousy. And the second reason is that I’m too caught up in the past. My past decisions. I feel like in some time in life they’re gonna be brought up and ruin my plans & future. I’m too scared of making decisions. “I’m gonna study, but I know I’m not gonna get an A anyways, what if I fail? Is it even worth studying then. Nah, I’m too lazy anyways”. Perfectionism. I grew up being compared to other people. I think parents have this mentality adapted in their mindset that if they say that it will motivate their children to study even more. It might, but I think it does affect them in the future, I hope you understand what I mean, no offense to anyone. I have so much more things I wanna say but I’ll just move on to the other things. This isn’t also JUST about grades. It’s also about the high school in general. The people, the surroundings. Everything has.. changed??? One thing I regret doing as a kid was wanting to grow up. If I could go back in time to relive it again, I would. While we’re at it, yes I might have changed some things in myself back then, things that would help benefit me right now as well I think. As you grow up you understand more. People,, only care about themselves, no offense, cause I also do.. But by what I said I mean like people are selfish, in the WRONG way. They can’t wait to see people fail in life, they can’t wait to crush you completely just so they can get somewhere. I try to be nice, but then I regret, and think “Why am I even being nice, as if they would ever consider it and be thankful?”. THESE PEOPLE WILL LITERALLY PRAY FOR YOUR DOWNFALL. People in high school are like that. I think it’s this specific age 15-19 probably. I don’t know I’m only 16. I have to add that I don’t open up to anyone about the things I’ve been feeling. In school, you can’t trust anyone, I don’t really have a close friend that I trust. I think opening up to my mom or sister, I don’t know if they’d understand. And it’s always “It will get better.” or “You chose to live this lifestyle, why did you choose it if you were gonna cry and be depressed about it.”. I don’t know I just don’t think people will understand, and I’m not good at expressing what I feel. So I’d rather just keep things to myself. 👍🏻 Anyways, I also wanna change specific things in myself, physically, mentally, spiritually. But right now at this specific moment, I’m just busy with school I don’t even have time to worry about myself. Especially mentally, I’m totally destroying myself. That’s all I wanted to share. Tomorrow I have to study, and after tomorrow, and after tomorrow, the cycle continues. I just thought I needed to share this since it was something I’ve been looking for, and it motivated me atm.

      hi there, i just read your comment. i'm so sorry for what you're going through rn. it sounds a lot like burnout to me. obvs i don't know the fully story but please take care of yourself. maybe it could just be having one day to yourself? i've been through something a lot similar to what you've mentioned and would be more than happy to help, even if its just for you to vent a bit. things always do get better, i promise. stay strong and you've got this! x

    -Sobrepensar es malo, no lo hagas.
    Soluciones según la causa 🤓☝️
    Si es por miedo (a fallar en algo, por ejemplo):
    •Si ese fuera el caso (lo cual no sabrás hasta intentarlo) pensa en que aprendiste de eso y que probablemente no estaba hecho para vos ¡Que bien que al menos lo intentaste! Tomalo como una lección más que un fracaso ^^
    •Hacer Journaling
    •Action map (buscalo por internet)
    •Focalizate en el presente (leer "The Power of now") Pone tus energias en un plan de acción, cosas que SÍ podes controlar
    •Cambia tu mentalidad, mira las cosas que intentas como experimentos, experiencias u oportunidades. No tienes porque tomartelo en serio
    •Manifesta con visualizaciones y afirmaciones (seria bueno que seas delulu y esperes lo mejor de cada situación, asumiendo que el universo conspira a tu favor)
    •Distraete con otras actividades en las que centrarte
    Si es por que hiciste o dijiste algo de lo que te arrepentis o no queres tomar una decisión por miedo:
    •Detachment (concentrate en que te hace sentir)
    •Confianza (tenes confianza en las decisiones que tomas). Toma las decisiones vos y no los demás ¡Es tu vida!
    •Cambia tu mentalidad de escasez a una de abundancia. Mejor hecho que perfecto ¿De donde viene el miedo? Trabajar en la causa y visualiza que todo sale bien
    •Vivir el presente (no pienses por ejemplo hoy en algo vergonzoso que hiciste hace 2 años)
    •Tene fé, enamorate de la incertidumbre ¿Y si todo saliera mejor de lo que había mejorado)
    •Hace un plan de ser necesario para tomar la decisión y llegar a tu resultado deseado
    Cuando es por relaciones:
    •Comunicate con la persona, hacelo sin sobrepensarlo
    •Tene fé (lista de pros y contras de la situación y persona)
    •VIVIR EN EL PRESENTE. Hace cosas que te gusten
    •Valorate ❤
    •Detach de personas y situaciones

    I love how she does all the research and gathers the facts for explaining, giving examples and dividing the content into chapters making the content just to the point, but still explaining all the aspects related to it and still not making it TOO OVERWHELMING. Loved the vid.
