I don't expect to have the same bittersweet feelings about 4 or 5, but a lot of people have said they think 4 is the best online. I'll see eventually, but after 180 hours on a single playthrough of P3, it may be a while before I pick up 4.

This song is the true heart of persona 3. The game may be edgy or sad sometimes, but at this moment, it all comes together. The game isn’t about not fearing death, but rather enjoying life to the fullest and spending time with the ones you love so that you don’t have to. Even as you die in the arms (and thighs) of the ones you love, it still is one of the happiest (and saddest at the same time) moments in the game, because the player character has no regrets, and is happy.
It's not even an edgy game like everyone says. The games message is that life is worth living to the fullest even though death is inevitable. How is that even close to edgy?

I recently finished P3P, and while I won’t say it has the best gameplay (that goes to P5R) I found it’s story extremely powerful and moving, and this song moved me to tears. Rest in peace Makoto/FeMC. Your legacy will live on in the friends you left behind 😢
The story and characters really make the game. The gameplay is fine enough and it's enough to keep me engaged, but Persona 3 is exceptional because of the narrative.
P3 isn’t the perfect game, and it can be frustrating for some people, but man... I think that all the people that reached the end of this game, realized the special this game is and will never forget this date

Happy March 5th everyone! This is my first March 5th since beating Persona 3. If I'm being honest i don't know what to write, or how to feel. I've thought about this comment a lot lately. Wondering how i would be able to justify something so precious to me, I'm not sure if i can but I'll try, i promise. I started P3 back in August of last year, during the lowest point of my life. I was at the peak of my depression, and i didn't even know it at the time. I wasn't suicidal, in fact death scared me. I just felt like i was existing for no real reason anymore. I didn't see the point in carrying on anymore. I was just starting my junior year of highschool as well. I had already been a diehard fan of P5, and i adore P4. This was my first time playing P3, and to be honest i saw it nothing more than just the last neo Persona game to play. I was at a very low point, so i didn't see much excitement in this game. I didn't really care about anything anymore. Then it happened, it was a dark August night. I had just started P3 on my ps2 emulator, and i get this feeling i didn't expect. For some reason, even in the first couple of hours i saw something new in myself. I related to what was going on through my screen. The themes of life and death, and how Makoto felt and looked during the start of P3. It was everything i wanted to put into words, but i thought i never could. Persona 3 is what taught me what i had was depression, and it helped me cope with it. I've actually spoken out about it since then, and am planning on getting help thankfully. Playing through P3 felt like looking in a mirror. I laughed, cried, smiled, in ways i never thought i would ever again. I said before that when i started P3, i was at the worst i have ever been before. Well to out it bluntly, P3 made the worst time ever, into one of the best I'll ever remember. Persona 3 was the best thing that had happened to me last year, that may sound exaggerated and maybe it is, but it's what i felt when i felt nothing. A story about a boy that could care less if he died tomorrow. He didn't have a purpose in life, and didn't see the purpose in carrying on anymore. Then he finds the meaning of life, that to die we must first live. He finds the meaning of life not just to live, but to live for something and someone. I can't fathom how much i needed to hear this, and how I relate to Makoto as a character. To me P3 is a game about life more than it is a game about death. It taught me that death last forever, but life doesn't. So don't waste it. When i beat this game in October i didn't know how to feel, to be honest I didn't really feel anything. I remember thinking nothing, because i wasn't quite sure what i experienced. I think part of the impact was how much life was changing for me at the time. I had just left living with my mother, who at the time i didn't fully realize was mentally abusing me. Which of course made my depression even worse than it already was. I also felt different about things, I wasn't fixed but i also wasn't broken, i was better. I started to fall in love with a girl, who is a reason my life is so beautiful. We had never really talked beforehand, but now we almost talk daily and we say hi to each other whenever i pass her. I want to do everything I can to make her happy in ways I couldn't even do for myself. It's complicated, and i don't know how things will end up. I'm glad were good friends though, and i want her too know just her existing is enough. I want her to live her best life, even if that means I'm not part of it. I'm still not sure why I'm really telling you all this, what point I'm trying to make. I think what I'm trying to say is... Live. No matter how bad things get, or if they don't end up your way, it's important to keep living. Whenever i hear Memories of You I'm reminded of where i was, and where i am today. Most importantly it's a description of what i felt with my depression. I remember all the bad but i also remember all the good. The best memories shine in the darkest of times. I still feel some days like I'm the most worthless human in this planet, that I'm not loved and what's even the point. I think that i could be much better, and maybe i could, but I'm also still here. I feel like even with this I'm not satisfied with my feelings of P3. I think also though that I've accepted that. I don't need an entire essay to justify what I feel for what i love. So maybe i should leave it here, and live some of that life I've talked so much about. I don't know if my feelings got across to anyone, but if they did... truly thank you, and i love you. Don't ever forget what Persona 3 gave us, and don't forget what it will forever give us. Some of us are here today because this game changed our lives. Some of us are here because it saved ours lives. Some of us are here because we lost someone dear, and some of us are here because we still remember. Some are here for something even more. Whatever your reason, just remember you're loved and your existence matters. Even if you don't think so, and you don't think anyone thinks so. You are loved at least by me, and everyone that saw you truly live. So promise me you'll keep on living no matter what, and I'll do the same. Then we'll meet again next year, on the promised day. On March 5th the day we lost him, and the day we found ourselves...

shiinotic I'll be honest here, Igor has seen the world cut it close to an end 3 times, the fourth time isn't really all that different, it gets pretty boring for him, after all, besides, he has to deal with 2 women in that game, in a very small limo, he must really have to try his best to control his nerves... While screwing you over by failing the hexagon fusion when you used all your money to buy the personas to let off some steam.
Minato is the one who surprised Igor by Being the only one to create "the universe" Arcana with the image of "the world" card that's because "the universe" arcana is undescribable the same with nyx so it just took the form of The world arcana but have massive intense difference on power. Today is March 5th! Im gonna start a new tradition for this and start putting little life updates in here since March 5th is also my birthday! I’ve been going to college for about 2 years now. I can’t even believe it’s been so long already. I came in wanting to major in mathematics but after I got into a coding course it really became my focus interest. Today is the last day of my teens! I really started getting interested in this series back in sophomore year of highschool (2018/19), so I hold this song and many others really close to my heart. Reload has been amazing experience and I am really happy Atlus was able to pull it off. This may seem embarrassing, but reading this song's lyrics for the first time made me extremely emotional. Years later I have accepted it was because younger me felt like his existence didn't really matter to others, even family seemed to not care about "me" but about their child, grandchild, nephew, cousin, etc. I can be at ease now that I have made friends I believe I've left enough of a mark on to carry on through them if anything were to happen to me, but even more than that I know I still have my life in front of me to help many others, in turn helping myself. And it's not because I've changed as a friend, person or whatever. But I've finally understood that in the smallest of ways we affect those around us. You won't be forgotten, even if it's just by someone who thought you'd be interesting to talk to but never built up the courage to. Life is sad, because it never ends before death, obviously. But it's also often beautiful in the smallest and purest of ways. Someone might care about you even if they don't really know your name. And if that's not the most raw expression of human empathy, I don't know what is.

I started p3 because my friends made me watch the p3 movies- I'm absolutely sure that Igor's last line, in the MOVIE specifically, is translated to saying Makoto's the best guest he's ever had.
Im pretty Sure it will be in there. Not only keep they the Songs somewhere in the Game to listen. But maybe we will get a new Ending a Happy One for Example and when you play the Original End you get this Song and for the New Ending a new One. I know a happy End May be not good for Persona 3 but it only has 2 Endings while Persona 4 and 5 have so many. And honestly Makoto and Co deserve a happy End. You can play the normal Ending if you want to like in Persona 4 or 5 trough your Decisions.

Persona 3 is my personal favorite JRPG, but I can't really put into words exactly why that is. I just know it means a lot to me, and so I'm here, today, March 5, to celebrate the life and mourn the death of my favorite silent protagonist. You were me, and I was you. I lived your struggles for months of my life, and nearly a year of yours. You found friendship and love, fought for it, and died for it, and I was right there alongside you the whole time. Here's to you, old friend. May every playthrough be as special as the first.
It’s been 15 years since this game came out, almost two entire decades. Today is the day, isn’t it? This game changed my life for the better and I can’t help but cry when hearing this. I know others feel the same way too, but don’t forget the messages of the game. Despite it all being fiction, it still somehow manages to make us question our lives in real life. Despite me never going through the same trials the P3MC did, this song just calms me down and just makes me feel like any pain I have will go away. Just close your eyes and enjoy, and remember to live your life to the fullest.

Tatsuya Suou - Learns that even the most innocent mistakes have consequences and how to deal with the regret of those mistakes. Maya Amano - Learns that words have power, that even the minor thing can have weight and to accept everyone deserves a second chance. Makoto Yuki/Minako Arisato - Learns that you are mortal and death comes to all. But knowing this, knowing that one day all will end, is that you need to live life at its fullest and not being afraid of creating bonds. Yu Narukami - Learns that the truth is always better than lying to yourself or to the world, accepting you dark self before it consumes you.

I didn't realize it, but I've been playing Persona 3 as my first JRPG. I just finished it last night, and I only just realized that I finished the game on March 5th, the final day of the game. This was not intentional, this was my first time playing the game. Truly an amazing game.

Major SPOILER!!! Isn't it beautiful that every single character in this game suffers so much and yet they all desperately want to live? They don't fight Nyx for anybody else, they do it for themselve alone. It is so amazing how invidualistic all the character in this game is(some how they don't evolve because of the main protagonist, they grow because of the resolution in their heart, which is something different from persona 4 and 5) and yet, I love them all so much. I adore them as individuals who have pain and grief and all that. They all are so fucking strong. Akihiko lost his sisand his bestfriend. Yukari lost her father. Fuuka were bullied before the incident. Junpei suffered domestic abuse from his drunk father. Koromaru lost his owner. Mitsuru lost her father later in the game. Ken lost his mom, and thought of himself as a cause for another's death. Shinjiro was slowly dying. Aigis lost her purpose in life as an anti shadow killing machine. Main protagonist was an orphan, and there was Death sealed inside of him. It is no wonder why this game's character distances themselve from each other and is thought to not be so chummy. If they suffer a certain degree of depression then it is quite hard to connect to other people, but despite that, i feel that they also love each other very much because.. they are forced to face their own devil together, without shortcut. (No castles, no tv shows) And they did it. They freaking did it. And instead of ignoring their fear and hope and pain, they decide to face it "head-on." Their heart, their mind, it can get so ugly and yet they still come together. Even when they grow up and apart, their pieces that were with others will remain for the rest of their lives. They never forget. To make everything even more heartbreaking and wonderful, our main protagonist who doesn't care about a single damn thing (true apathy without apathy syndrome) before he meets his friends decide it's best to sacrifice himself, because he finally know how life are precious. And then he proves how much he loves them all by surviving until the promised day. I'm fucking bawling. Uwahhhh 😭😭😭
You absolutely nailed it: Persona 3 characters feel so real that they are hardly comparable to many others, not only in the Persona franchise, but in general. They are some of the most dependable and well-written characters I've ever seen. Even though not all of them are fully developed throughout the game, their dialogues and actions reflected their personalities really well. Thanks to that, they are also an essential part of what makes P3 a masterpiece in my eyes.
March 5th, 2024. I've been coming here since I first finished FES 3 years ago. It's a game I'm long lost in love, but I always thought it didn't age that well. One year ago, I didn't expected to have played the game of my dreams, a Persona 3 Remake and I already beat the fucking game. I asked for vacations at work since the release date was announced and didn't go to school the week it took me to finish Reload. I've always wanting to recreate the experiencie I had with P5R during pandemic, that game that changed a lot of my perception in life and got me really hooked. P3R, even if after beating all Persona games was too easy for me, or I had a few complains with art direction, really made me revalue a lot of things and themes that I didn't get quite well on my original run. It seems this year it's easier to recommend this game and I even have lend my console to a couple friends for them to experience the game for the first time. A lot of them still don't know the meaning behind this day, but well, for now, I just wanted to share and celebrate what the comeback of P3 has been for everyone that comes every year to this video to remember the beautiful ending of such a masterpiece. Remember to enjoy life at its fullest, guys!

My first March 5th after losing my dad. Hearing this will never be the same, I couldn't even hold my tears back... He was the best dad I could ask for.

My only wish is that I could become someone who he can be proud of since on his deathbed, he never told me and only ever told my sister and gave her his blessing and that made me insecure. I know he probably didn't mean any ill will, but it has always been eating my mind and living rent-free in my head... What if I was not good enough? Was I a disappointment? It's honestly scary and I can't ask him why.

This song is the true heart of persona 3. The game may be edgy or sad sometimes, but at this moment, it all comes together. The game isn’t about not fearing death, but rather enjoying life to the fullest and spending time with the ones you love so that you don’t have to. Even as you die in the arms (and thighs) of the ones you love, it still is one of the happiest (and saddest at the same time) moments in the game, because the player character has no regrets, and is happy.
If you want to remember the protagonist and honor his sacrifice, get out there and live your life to the fullest, without regret.

I recently finished P3P, and while I won’t say it has the best gameplay (that goes to P5R) I found it’s story extremely powerful and moving, and this song moved me to tears.

The story and characters really make the game. The gameplay is fine enough and it's enough to keep me engaged, but Persona 3 is exceptional because of the narrative.

Happy March 5th everyone! This is my first March 5th since beating Persona 3. If I'm being honest i don't know what to write, or how to feel. I've thought about this comment a lot lately. Wondering how i would be able to justify something so precious to me, I'm not sure if i can but I'll try, i promise. I started P3 back in August of last year, during the lowest point of my life. I was at the peak of my depression, and i didn't even know it at the time. I wasn't suicidal, in fact death scared me. I just felt like i was existing for no real reason anymore. I didn't see the point in carrying on anymore. I was just starting my junior year of highschool as well. I had already been a diehard fan of P5, and i adore P4. This was my first time playing P3, and to be honest i saw it nothing more than just the last neo Persona game to play. I was at a very low point, so i didn't see much excitement in this game. I didn't really care about anything anymore. Then it happened, it was a dark August night. I had just started P3 on my ps2 emulator, and i get this feeling i didn't expect. For some reason, even in the first couple of hours i saw something new in myself. I related to what was going on through my screen. The themes of life and death, and how Makoto felt and looked during the start of P3. It was everything i wanted to put into words, but i thought i never could. Persona 3 is what taught me what i had was depression, and it helped me cope with it. I've actually spoken out about it since then, and am planning on getting help thankfully. Playing through P3 felt like looking in a mirror. I laughed, cried, smiled, in ways i never thought i would ever again. I said before that when i started P3, i was at the worst i have ever been before. Well to out it bluntly, P3 made the worst time ever, into one of the best I'll ever remember. Persona 3 was the best thing that had happened to me last year, that may sound exaggerated and maybe it is, but it's what i felt when i felt nothing. A story about a boy that could care less if he died tomorrow. He didn't have a purpose in life, and didn't see the purpose in carrying on anymore. Then he finds the meaning of life, that to die we must first live. He finds the meaning of life not just to live, but to live for something and someone. I can't fathom how much i needed to hear this, and how I relate to Makoto as a character. To me P3 is a game about life more than it is a game about death. It taught me that death last forever, but life doesn't. So don't waste it. When i beat this game in October i didn't know how to feel, to be honest I didn't really feel anything. I remember thinking nothing, because i wasn't quite sure what i experienced. I think part of the impact was how much life was changing for me at the time. I had just left living with my mother, who at the time i didn't fully realize was mentally abusing me. Which of course made my depression even worse than it already was. I also felt different about things, I wasn't fixed but i also wasn't broken, i was better. I started to fall in love with a girl, who is a reason my life is so beautiful. We had never really talked beforehand, but now we almost talk daily and we say hi to each other whenever i pass her. I want to do everything I can to make her happy in ways I couldn't even do for myself. It's complicated, and i don't know how things will end up. I'm glad were good friends though, and i want her too know just her existing is enough. I want her to live her best life, even if that means I'm not part of it. I'm still not sure why I'm really telling you all this, what point I'm trying to make. I think what I'm trying to say is... Live. No matter how bad things get, or if they don't end up your way, it's important to keep living. Whenever i hear Memories of You I'm reminded of where i was, and where i am today. Most importantly it's a description of what i felt with my depression. I remember all the bad but i also remember all the good. The best memories shine in the darkest of times. I still feel some days like I'm the most worthless human in this planet, that I'm not loved and what's even the point. I think that i could be much better, and maybe i could, but I'm also still here. I feel like even with this I'm not satisfied with my feelings of P3. I think also though that I've accepted that. I don't need an entire essay to justify what I feel for what i love. So maybe i should leave it here, and live some of that life I've talked so much about. I don't know if my feelings got across to anyone, but if they did... truly thank you, and i love you. Don't ever forget what Persona 3 gave us, and don't forget what it will forever give us. Some of us are here today because this game changed our lives. Some of us are here because it saved ours lives. Some of us are here because we lost someone dear, and some of us are here because we still remember. Some are here for something even more. Whatever your reason, just remember you're loved and your existence matters. Even if you don't think so, and you don't think anyone thinks so. You are loved at least by me, and everyone that saw you truly live. So promise me you'll keep on living no matter what, and I'll do the same. Then we'll meet again next year, on the promised day. On March 5th the day we lost him, and the day we found ourselves...

I’ve been going to college for about 2 years now. I can’t even believe it’s been so long already. I came in wanting to major in mathematics but after I got into a coding course it really became my focus interest.
Today is the last day of my teens! I really started getting interested in this series back in sophomore year of highschool (2018/19), so I hold this song and many others really close to my heart. Reload has been amazing experience and I am really happy Atlus was able to pull it off. I’ve been purposely avoiding hearing the new version of this song because I really want the ending to be special.

This may seem embarrassing, but reading this song's lyrics for the first time made me extremely emotional. Years later I have accepted it was because younger me felt like his existence didn't really matter to others, even family seemed to not care about "me" but about their child, grandchild, nephew, cousin, etc. I can be at ease now that I have made friends I believe I've left enough of a mark on to carry on through them if anything were to happen to me, but even more than that I know I still have my life in front of me to help many others, in turn helping myself. And it's not because I've changed as a friend, person or whatever. But I've finally understood that in the smallest of ways we affect those around us. You won't be forgotten, even if it's just by someone who thought you'd be interesting to talk to but never built up the courage to. Life is sad, because it never ends before death, obviously. But it's also often beautiful in the smallest and purest of ways. Someone might care about you even if they don't really know your name. And if that's not the most raw expression of human empathy, I don't know what is.

I started p3 because my friends made me watch the p3 movies- I'm absolutely sure that Igor's last line, in the MOVIE specifically, is translated to saying Makoto's the best guest he's ever had.

But maybe we will get a new Ending a Happy One for Example and when you play the Original End you get this Song and for the New Ending a new One. I know a happy End May be not good for Persona 3 but it only has 2 Endings while Persona 4 and 5 have so many. And honestly Makoto and Co deserve a happy End. You can play the normal Ending if you want to like in Persona 4 or 5 trough your Decisions.

Persona 3 is my personal favorite JRPG, but I can't really put into words exactly why that is. I just know it means a lot to me, and so I'm here, today, March 5, to celebrate the life and mourn the death of my favorite silent protagonist. You were me, and I was you. I lived your struggles for months of my life, and nearly a year of yours. You found friendship and love, fought for it, and died for it, and I was right there alongside you the whole time. Here's to you, old friend. May every playthrough be as special as the first.

It’s been 15 years since this game came out, almost two entire decades. Today is the day, isn’t it? This game changed my life for the better and I can’t help but cry when hearing this. I know others feel the same way too, but don’t forget the messages of the game. Despite it all being fiction, it still somehow manages to make us question our lives in real life. Despite me never going through the same trials the P3MC did, this song just calms me down and just makes me feel like any pain I have will go away.

Mine. Though I got introduced to this franchise through Persona 5 and Strikers, I genuinely appreciate what I heard from the prior entries and its sibling franchises.
I didn't realize it, but I've been playing Persona 3 as my first JRPG. I just finished it last night, and I only just realized that I finished the game on March 5th, the final day of the game. This was not intentional, this was my first time playing the game.
Truly an amazing game.

Isn't it beautiful that every single character in this game suffers so much and yet they all desperately want to live? They don't fight Nyx for anybody else, they do it for themselve alone. It is so amazing how invidualistic all the character in this game is(some how they don't evolve because of the main protagonist, they grow because of the resolution in their heart, which is something different from persona 4 and 5) and yet, I love them all so much. I adore them as individuals who have pain and grief and all that. They all are so fucking strong.
Akihiko lost his sisand his bestfriend.
Yukari lost her father.
Fuuka were bullied before the incident.
Junpei suffered domestic abuse from his drunk father.
Koromaru lost his owner.
Mitsuru lost her father later in the game.
Ken lost his mom, and thought of himself as a cause for another's death.
Shinjiro was slowly dying.
Aigis lost her purpose in life as an anti shadow killing machine.
Main protagonist was an orphan, and there was Death sealed inside of him.
It is no wonder why this game's character distances themselve from each other and is thought to not be so chummy. If they suffer a certain degree of depression then it is quite hard to connect to other people, but despite that, i feel that they also love each other very much because.. they are forced to face their own devil together, without shortcut. (No castles, no tv shows) And they did it. They freaking did it. And instead of ignoring their fear and hope and pain, they decide to face it "head-on."
Their heart, their mind, it can get so ugly and yet they still come together. Even when they grow up and apart, their pieces that were with others will remain for the rest of their lives. They never forget.
To make everything even more heartbreaking and wonderful, our main protagonist who doesn't care about a single damn thing (true apathy without apathy syndrome) before he meets his friends decide it's best to sacrifice himself, because he finally know how life are precious. And then he proves how much he loves them all by surviving until the promised day.

You absolutely nailed it: Persona 3 characters feel so real that they are hardly comparable to many others, not only in the Persona franchise, but in general. They are some of the most dependable and well-written characters I've ever seen. Even though not all of them are fully developed throughout the game, their dialogues and actions reflected their personalities really well. Thanks to that, they are also an essential part of what makes P3 a masterpiece in my eyes.

March 5th, 2024. I've been coming here since I first finished FES 3 years ago. It's a game I'm long lost in love, but I always thought it didn't age that well. One year ago, I didn't expected to have played the game of my dreams, a Persona 3 Remake and I already beat the fucking game. I asked for vacations at work since the release date was announced and didn't go to school the week it took me to finish Reload. I've always wanting to recreate the experiencie I had with P5R during pandemic, that game that changed a lot of my perception in life and got me really hooked.
P3R, even if after beating all Persona games was too easy for me, or I had a few complains with art direction, really made me revalue a lot of things and themes that I didn't get quite well on my original run. It seems this year it's easier to recommend this game and I even have lend my console to a couple friends for them to experience the game for the first time.
A lot of them still don't know the meaning behind this day, but well, for now, I just wanted to share and celebrate what the comeback of P3 has been for everyone that comes every year to this video to remember the beautiful ending of such a masterpiece.
Remember to enjoy life at its fullest, guys!
