Today is 3/5. I finished my first playthrough this past weekend, and I absolutely loved this game, even with how immensely the ending broke me. It makes me feel at peace when I hear this song. Like death isn't something to be afraid of. It's painful letting go, but it's the life you lived that's beautiful. Your memories of friends and family, it's worth it. Your love and memories live on through the people you love, and even when you're not there, they'll remember.
Every time i hear this now, the last line: "I will never leave you." Maybe i'm just a hopeless romantic, maybe i'm just a fool who doesn't fully appreciate the story of Persona 3 (the tears in my eyes right now writing this tells me that I very much do, hopefully), but even now, almost 20 years since the original release, i want to hold onto hope that the end of the journey and the end of the journey's answers is not the end of Makoto Yuki. For all the connections the hero has with others and with we the fans, they all deserve it too. Not all doors need to be shut forever, sometimes miracles can happen; Yes, At the end of it all, Death awaits you. But sometimes, death can be cheated, sometimes, life can change.

I really do wonder if Atlus will ever let Elizabeth set Makoto Yuki free. He has been a seal for seventeen years and Atlus still has yet to give us a resolution on that plot line.
I would love a "fish out of water" storyline where Makoto wakes up 17 years later, still the same age as he was before, trying to find his friends who have all grown up and moved on. I would love to see Makoto as a mentor to a group of new students as they work together to gather the old crew and fight off the return of the Dark Hour.

I completed the game like 2ish weeks ago and listening to this still makes me cry very beautiful game i think and first time every crying to an ending and song and I'm currently replaying the game to get links I've missed and it's just as good as the first time
This game was never about the protagonist, his crew, the shadows, the Arcana or Tartarus. It was about Aigis, and her journey to become a human. It was about making out what life is supposed to be. It's much more fascinating to see a machine learn to feel and understand the world and find meaning in life. The arcana is the means by which all is revealed: she has gone through all the phases of the major arcana, from an ignorant fool to a depressed human following a great failure in life, which has shaken up her entire meaning and understanding of the world. Then, she finds the strength, gains the wisdom, forms connections and reinvents herself. She managed to create life out of nothing, by forcing herself into having another meaning. Because by understanding the meaning of life - her purpose - she has found her ANSWER. This song captures just that. It's her song. She's singing her first and greatest friend to sleep. She understands and accepts death as part of life, but only because she understood he has fulfilled his purpose and has lived life meaningfully. She is sad to see him go, but cherishes the memories he's given her. She was indeed always by his side, and now he will be forever into her. By honoring and upholding his will for the world, she lets him rest, but never forgets him. Just like with Chidori, his life is now carried within her, shaping everything she is and stands for. Death is always your destined end, but if your life has helped shape up other people's life by infusing them with meaning and purpose, The World will live on. If that, then Death will only ever mark a new beginning, not the end. Therefore, life is about purpose and meaning. That's how Aigis became truly human.
Honestly this is such a great analysis, at first I was like “lmao ofc they add in a robot girl thats a very persona thing to do”, but the thing is, it IS a very Persona thing to do, because Aigis and her story perfectly fit the overall story and themes of the game. It just all fits together perfectly. Thanks for saying this

Best part was after the process was all over I went outside to relax and a brown/orange butterfly came to greet me being pretty much the same color fur as my dog. I’m glad I got to meet him again so quickly.
Was not able to complete all social links sucks, I made some wrong moves I guess. But dams the feels like you are watching an anime. Power of Friendship yoh!!!
When u realized that aigis love for makoto is limitless because she is robot and can't never forget about him even for an second. And "Memories of U " is basically about Aigis's love to Makoto. Truely a "Blue colored youth" for them with sad and joy + unforgettable prescious memories about their life.
And Aigis will never forget about Makoto even for a second. AND Color "Blue"( Because persona 3's theme is heavily based on that color)also indicates Youth in most cultures. Which is why the persona 3 has so much meaning behind It.
Coming back to this to say I just noticed there’s not a single picture of all of them together. The picture with Mitsuru’s father doesn’t have Aigis on it, while the group picture in Kyoto doesn’t have Ken and Koromaru. And that’s not even mentioning Shinji isn’t in any picture that wasn’t taken when he was younger😭
I unfortunately got spoiled on the ending when Episode Aigis came out. I saw a post on twitter where the party had no MC with Aigis in his place (and ofc it's set in the future). Still it hit quite hard and tbh the fact that it would end like this was a bit predictable. However I would have at least been uncertain till the end... Well, I honestly don't remember the last time a game made me feel like this. Not only is the ending sad, but I also feel empty knowning that I don't really need to boot up the game anymore, after over a month of doing exactly that basically everyday. I miss the game already, and the concept of Makoto's sacrifice hurts a lot...
They still didnt fix the bug where everything is blurry and hard to see when this starts playing
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
Enjoy your tears!
Yeah, that bug makes me cry every time, they should fix it
Damn this bug man
This bug also has sniffling sounds. Weird.
I thought that with the remake maybe that would've been fixed, but for some reason, it's even worse...

For all the connections the hero has with others and with we the fans, they all deserve it too.
Not all doors need to be shut forever, sometimes miracles can happen; Yes, At the end of it all, Death awaits you.
But sometimes, death can be cheated, sometimes, life can change.
I love how this made me cry so much without even understanding the lyrics. Now that I know them Im crying rivers. Thank you Atlus for once again, breaking my heart in a good way.
This was my first time going through P3, and man, I doubt I'm forgetting this story anytime soon. Genuinely life-changing for me. This song is so, so special.
Still crying my eyes out, both singers made this song so enjoyable and so heartbreaking
I love how the scene with Junpei, Ryoji, and Makoto the look on Makoto's face is just pure indifference as he lightly holds onto Ryoji's scarf.
I enjoy listening to this and sink myself into a melancholy mood.
Finished the game today, wiped my tears, I miss it already.
My father passed away last week and i am listening to this song every day since.
Sorry for your lost, keep your head up🫡
@@amaurycasilas6686 thanks
I am really sorry for your loss. I hope this pain is lighter now, even if slightly.
Im really sorry about that..
SUPER underrated video!!!
the lyrics of this song really goes hars man
That blindingly brilliant moment when we were all together, Those precious times I didn't realize I should cherish"
This cuts deep, deeper than any blade
I can't describe how much I love Persona franchise.
Love all games, but this has the best ending by far...
Memento mori 💙🌒
I really do wonder if Atlus will ever let Elizabeth set Makoto Yuki free. He has been a seal for seventeen years and Atlus still has yet to give us a resolution on that plot line.
I would love a "fish out of water" storyline where Makoto wakes up 17 years later, still the same age as he was before, trying to find his friends who have all grown up and moved on. I would love to see Makoto as a mentor to a group of new students as they work together to gather the old crew and fight off the return of the Dark Hour.
@@RedVortex11X That sounds interesting.
Hasn’t it only been 15 years (still a long time) since Persona 3 took place in 2009?
@@caseyp5861 I was talking about release date. Persona 3 FES released April 19, 2007. I was taking a jab at Atlus because it feels like they completely pretended like that Persona 4 Arena plot line never happened.
I truly hope we never get an answer to this, the tension of never knowing what could have been or might have been is the best way they could have done this. If you know someone who passes away you'll want ask the same questions but only receive the same answers
Im so glad I accidentally finished this game on March 5th.

The fact that there is not just the lyrics in it's original and english language, but else there is the images of full of love and friendship throught the story 💙💙💙
4:18 Its a kinda cool feature that aigis is looking at whatever his name is suspiciously, foreshadowing to who he actually is and their history
I'm not crying you are

My man strongest persona user 😭
Bro is not the moonveil. (I'm severely corrupted by elden ring and from soft as a whole.)
my first time playing the persona series was P3R (yes i’m new gen) but damn this was such a beautiful game. The ending truly made a remark on me and had me up for days and now I am playing P5R. truly an amazing game series
can’t even imagine how people who understand Japanese reacted to this song i’d be devastated
when i die play this song
Real

Hood lost a real G on this day. Homies will remember him.
We making it out of the hood with this one!
We sealed the hood with this one
i just finished my playthrough as someone completely new to the persona series i'm so fucked up rn
I was bery emotional with original, but i didn't cry. Then with reload, i just broke down. It was so perfect
I love the immaculate vibe of pure depression
In a way I'm really happy that we don't get to see all of them react to his death.
Yet.
I didn't know about the answer DLC when I finish the game lol
I finished the game last night and now that I know the lyrics I'm glad I didn't understand the words during the credits. I was barely holding it together as is!
I completed the game like 2ish weeks ago and listening to this still makes me cry very beautiful game i think and first time every crying to an ending and song and I'm currently replaying the game to get links I've missed and it's just as good as the first time
God this really hit me in my chest when it happened.
🤓
Honestly this is such a great analysis, at first I was like “lmao ofc they add in a robot girl thats a very persona thing to do”, but the thing is, it IS a very Persona thing to do, because Aigis and her story perfectly fit the overall story and themes of the game. It just all fits together perfectly. Thanks for saying this
aegis became my favorite persona character.
Its bad that I didn't catch on what happened and didn't realise he died for like a month after playing the game. This song hits me so hard knowing he just. Died 😭
I never knew how this ends and I was hoping he'd wake up to greet his friends. But sadly, the internet happened
I hope one day he comes back to life and does everything he couldn't do with his friends before he died.
I cant, I just cried hearing this song, for them, it was all worthy.
I still can’t stop crying. It’s been 2 days since I beat the game
The editing is also cheating😭
I finished the game two weeks ago im filing so empty
@@Yotamsharaby6767 I honestly thought I would want to die by the end of the game, but I honestly have never wanted to live more despite the sadness and pain.
this went hard even without realizing that its singing from the point of view of aigis holding you at the end of the game
happy march 5th everyone, cry in the replies if you need to
I just beat the game a couple days ago but I can’t stop crying bro. The whole ending sequence just made me cry a lot like never before. This song is amazing!
Holy shit, the lyrics 😢
I imagine within the great seal, there is a great white void, where Makoto Yuki, Shinji, and mister Kirijo play bingo sometimes.
This is the version Atlus should've used on the OST releases and I have no fuckin' clue why they didn't
Chill music to fall asleep to :)

I knew this song was sad even before I knew what they sang. The translation only made it even more sad.
I know whats going to happen, without even have seeing the ending when i heard this song for the first time i sobbed the hardest i had in the past few years of my life 😭
Finished the game just today
Holy shit man, i cried at P4G's ending but man
I sobbed at this ending
Screw you Atlus for making an amazing game.
i finish this game exactly today and im wondering about the credits song. and search english/romanji of it and it just hits very hard
shout out to all of you guys who finished the game and feel the element of the story
the violin part.......
😭😭😭
very 1st game in my life that hits different
3/5
waiting for the "THE ANSWER"
i thought you were saying that the game was a 3 out of 5 😅
@@anything6036 NO WAY!!! 😂😂 the game is masterpiece
The game make me reload the tears even after 5+ years ( play p3p 5/6 years ago)
Much love and thanks to everyone who played. I’m still out here.
Just had to euthanize my dog today. These lyrics honestly fit way to well on how I feel about him. Damn such a beautiful song I’m crying all over again. Best part was after the process was all over I went outside to relax and a brown/orange butterfly came to greet me being pretty much the same color fur as my dog. I’m glad I got to meet him again so quickly.
Really sorry about that, i know it's hard..
I think the violin really adds to the song.
Truely a "Blue colored youth" for them with sad and joy + unforgettable prescious memories about their life.
the violin is beautiful
this is so Aigis coded :(
Yeah :(
And Aigis will never forget about Makoto even for a second. AND Color "Blue"( Because persona 3's theme is heavily based on that color)also indicates Youth in most cultures. Which is why the persona 3 has so much meaning behind It.
"God... damn it you silly robot..."
I need to ask my neighbors to stop cutting onions.
Freakin it sensitive style in the club 😭
The best game of my life
And the best ending of gaming history
The only thing that'll make me cry...😢
No llores, no llores, no llores, no llores, no llores, no llores, no llores...
Aguante mucho, pero es imposible no hacerlo. (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )(╥﹏╥)
One of the best friendship simulator ever
Just beat this game 10/10 masterpiece
Embrace the pain!
Aigis is the best girl in all of Persona.
How do you listen to this without crying?
You dont.
when u know the music is for the FES/ THe Answear/ Chapter Aigis.bruuuuuhhhhh
ohh I made myself sad again T_T
