Have played this golf ball (Speedsoft Ink) for about a month or so, I love it. I get great distance off the tee and surprising control around the green. I bought them with a healthy dose of skepticism, but they perform as advertised for me. I am a slow swing speed senior and a high (18) handicapper. Love this golf ball. Will definitely be buying them again.

I really like this golf ball. I like the driving distance and the feel off the driver, 3 wood and irons. I like the markings as I putt. I will continue to game this golf ball. I am a senior woman golfer.

I did play these a full round yesterday 4/21/24, I out drove the white tee young guys, (allowing for my forward tees) quite a few times, I’m 71. They’re in the their 50’s. It’s very easy to identify this ball which I like. I’m use to playing the TM Tour Response stripe, another good distance ball with urethane. I hit a Cleveland #2 hybrid off the tee.

Great review and I appreciate your honesty! I’ve played the TM Tour Response since it came out, love it. I’ve tried a lot of balls, a lot, new ones when they come out but nothing has kicked the TM TS out of my bag. Based on your review, gonna try this ball. We’ll see what happens!!

The speed soft really came out of nowhere and I love it. When I reviewed it I knew it was a very good golf ball that was a significant improvement over anything TaylorMade had put before.
A couple months later however, I have had dozens of people share feedback of how they absolutely cannot get rid of the ball. That's a great win for TaylorMade

Played scrambles yesterday. Wison zip for driver and long approach shots, callaway chromesoft for 150 out and chipping/putting around the green. Looking forward to your reviews this year. For me, for now, best results are the zip and chromesoft. Love MGS but your reviews fit most average weekend players. Forgiveness factor is so overlooked. My driver SS low 90s. Keep up the great work.

GREAT DATA!!! And the design is very information overload. I play the Vice drip but it's very subtle design.
However, the Hi-Vis yellow looks more appealing to me and if they are on sale for $20 a dozen I'll grab a few boxes.

I did buy the blue ink ones but think I will buy some solid yellows on the next order for some variety. That being said I do like the blue ink ones. I bought 4 boxes of them. Being a senior low swing speed golfer I really appreciate a ball like this. Lots of color choices . I have played 3 rounds with these now with solid results. There is quite a number of good reviews on youtube about these speed softs as well. You'd be hard pressed to find a bad one.

@@GolfBallAddict I agree. Its not the easiest thing to find an above average golf ball in this price range either. This one ticks a lot of boxes. It actually checks up well on various shots. A rare happening in the price class. Goes a long way off my various clubs as well. Its hard to find something not to like on this ball. This actually might make other companies step up their game in the category.

I bought some of these and will try them out this week. The ink design looked a bit busy for my eye so I bought them in hi vis yellow. As a newer and more senior golfer I normally play a Callaway Supersoft or a Titelist TruFeel, so am keen to see how they compare.

Found my ball. Off your Top 100 list, I played with the Wilson Zip, Got Sum, Srixon Soft and Precept Laddie X. No contest. With my 75 swing speed, the Laddie was unreal. My usual drives are about 170. Hit several straight, about 220 + and all well above my average. My partners couldn't believe it. The ball sprung off the clubface with all clubs. I was surprised that the Zip and Snell balls seemed like rocks compared to the Laddie. Normally a 24 handicap. Shot 88. Thanks very much!

Saw these in the pro shop. Had to get me a sleeve to try. They don't stand out as much as you think on the course. Loved the performance overall, it suited my swing speed and gave me more distance than I'm used to. I have a few dozen balls to lose before I consider these, but there is also the Callaway Speedsoft and the Wilson Duosoft to consider.

At 85 MPH club head speed, your smash factor is near 1.50, 2500 RPM is perfect driver backspin, and 15 degree launch angle is perfect. The lack of rollout is due to how soft the ball is.
Everything I see in your data tells me this is a phenomenal ball for you.

Alot of work. You put in alot of hours!! Great stuff
Like some of your followers 90 percent of my golf is scramble play where i do not have to play the same ball. In your opinion what would you use for driver, long iron, short iron, chipping, and then putting. Thank you for your time 👍

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Thank you very much. I appreciate the kind words and you watching.
This is a really good question. Assuming your swing speed is around the same as mine, here are some setups that would be good for scramble team.
Driver - long iron: Chrome tour, Mizuno x, Snell get sum, srixon diamond
Mid and short irons: Chrome tour, Max fli straight, get sum, Wilson duo
Short game and putting: this could be more personal preference, however I highly recommend something with a really big and noticeable alignment tool. Alignment tools and scrambles are huge because it will allow your playing partners to know if you miss hit a putt or if you just misread it

I tried the Speedsoft recently and really like it. I'm a fairly slow club speed senior that normally uses the TP5. This ball seems really close to it for me and much cheaper. I did go get a pack of the inked blue ones today, and did confirm someone elses comment that the white ones are made in China and the inked ones are made in Taiwan. If you had the time it would be really interesting if there WAS a difference in the China/white vs. the Taiwan/inked. Thanks for the review!

    • @GolfBallAddict

Just find white way too boring !! I know you love your alignment aids , but after trying DOZENS of balls with all kinds of alignment arrows/lines etc. , I found that NONE of them improve my putting results. Am in the process of trying these, and although they do seem better than most mid price range TM balls, I dont think they'll replace the Vice Pro Soft Drip !!
