    Great job! I've had the blade kit on a shelf for a couple of years because I'm always a little intimidated by something new like this. I'm going to watch your video one more time tomorrow and put it on. Thanks for providing these great instructions!

    This is a great video! Even from three years ago, it is very relevant! I would like to mention though, with the SRM 225, the green spacer that you put on whatever trimmer you have is not needed and will cause the cotter pin not to be able to be inserted into the hole on the shank in the final step installing the blade.

      With this video, I didn’t even have to look at the instructions! I’m glad I found the comments about the SMR 225 though. Definitely do not use the green washer on that model. You will not get the cotter pin on.

    Thanks a million for making this video, man! Followed you to the letter today when I ditched the trimmer line in favor of the blade on my Echo 2620 and it worked out flawlessly.

    Thanks for the video. It gave me enough information to know which pieces to use to install a brushing blade on my SRM-3020U. However, there was no green spacer, only 3 T-25 bolts and 3 nylock nuts that matched the protruding ends of the bolts, so I put them on there.

      @harryberry474 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just bought a SRM2620 and the blade conversion kit...but didn't come with the shaft locking tool like my last Echo had. Lucky I still have my old tool, I know I could use a screwdriver in a pinch.

    Thanks! The Echo 80 tooth blade that I want to buy, has instructions saying the SRM 225 carburetor needs adjustment after installation of blade. There is more in that conversion kit than you showed. The components are model specific and perhaps you can tell what the SRM model number is that you used for the video. The kit comes with two locking collars and you have to measure the length of the drive spline to know which one to use.

    curious what was the exact SRM model in this video? thanks I ask because I have a SRM 225 & did not use the green metal spacer. I was wondering if I messed up not using it. It seems if I use it the locking nut may cover the cotter pin hole

    • @stickfigure9662
      @stickfigure9662 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have a 225 and did not use green washer as another person said. That small difference when using the green washer dosnt allow for room to add your cotter pin.

    • @johndavis5190
      @johndavis5190 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I ran into that problem as well I think I'd rather have the cotter pin as an additional guard for the blade flying off then the spacer

    • @UhBuddy1976
      @UhBuddy1976 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have the SRM 225 and you definitely do not need the green washer. I was so glad that I found y’all’s comments regarding this or I would’ve put it together trying to figure out why I could not get the cotter pin in. Fortunately, I just took it right off, knowing what y’all had said in this thread, and it saved me some trouble!😊
