When TOP removed his mask and looked directly at the camera others are like Ooooh handsome, the visual etc..(not complaining though) but what I felt and noticed is the anger and hurt in his eyes as he stared at us through the camera lens. Thats the part that brought me to tears (plus TOP singing and the lyrics)
You guys did a great job holding back the tears. I cried like a baby when I watched the video and then cried even more reading some of the comments left behind by VIPs. One thing is certain, BigBang will always and forever be legends.
Being a VIP since 2010 this song is an emotional roller coaster... I can't explain in words how much this song touched me I think every VIP will have the same feeling
Still Life art also captures the object in that moment, and it will always be framed in that one moment forever and ever, even though you know the object is long gone after the drawing/photo is done/taken. It’s nostalgic in a sense that it captures something in that moment in time, yet reminds us of how ephemeral these objects are at the same time. Perhaps the Big Bang as everyone knows it will be gone, but their fans and the members will always look back and see them the way they are captured in peoples’ hearts.

I don't know if you guys noticed but GD was holding a black umbrella, but underneath it was a rainbow. GD once painted Seungri in beautiful colors, and covered it all in black. He told Seungri "You're behind this black. Try to look into your heart." GD also had a similar concept with his first peaceminusone and Nike collab where the shoes would peel the black layer to reveal a colorful painting underneath. This all ties back to Seungri and OT5
No teaser and they released it at midnight because the comeback is not for any promotions or awards. They know that VIP's are the ones waiting for them. Watched with the lyrics and I completely understood what the song was about. And like I said in the video I felt like it was a perfect ending song. Which technically it was. I've been a fan of Big Bang for a long time, so I'm definitely not new to them and what they've achieved and endured over the years. In fact they didn't even get together because they are individual scenes, at no time are they together. So we can only remember the old times and cry with nostalgia. I thought it was cruel for the company to put a hope in our hearts to come back and release a farewell MV, it hurt a lot on impact, it made my vip heart bleed, I'm in tears. 😭😪😭💔🖤
did you guys hear the layering vocal on TOP's singing part? It really sounds like Seungri's voice... At first, listen I didn't notice it but the more I listen I'm convincing that it was surely his voice like we all know how everyone's voice is different from each other and that voice is just like Seungri's voice... I don't know if you guys notice or not but GD's umbrella screams Seungri coz he painted the same thing for Seungri before all the sh!t happens like he painted Rainbow first on a canvas and then covered up with all black giving it to Seungri saying it's him...
I don't think so. Seungri didn't just leave the band, Seungri is now in jail (related to prostitution) His reputation is really negative in Korea, so Bigbang wouldn't put Seungri reference in their songs from now on.

I'm glad your family were included in the video. 3rd, since you were kind enough to share your and your family's connection/history with Big Bang, I will do the same. I don't consider myself a member of any fandom. I simply appreciate good music and artistry, and Big Bang has that in spades. My first experience with Big Bang came shortly after I was in the hospital for 6 days straight when the doctors thought I was going to die from an imminent heart attack. Obviously I didn't though. To make a long story short, during that time I, through the help of a friend, was able to contact my best friend that I had lost touch with for years. My best friend was a cardio-thoracic surgeon and guided me through how to ask the right questions to the treating physicians and get the proper care that I needed. During my catch-up with my best friend, I learned that he was estranged from his S. Korean girlfriend (and coincidentally, one of the nurses on the evening shift that took care of me while I was in the hospital was also S. Korean). So I decided to look for S. Korean "love songs" and "get back together" songs to suggest to my best friend to share with his estranged girlfriend in order to set the mood for reconciliation. That was how I happened upon Taeyang and his songs "Eyes, Nose, Lips", "I Need a Girl", etc. and from there Big Bang, in general. Ironically, my best friend was the one that ended up dying from the sequala of a massive heart attack before ever reconciling with said S. Korean girlfriend. So, Big Bang is special to me too. 4th, I noticed some things that stuck out to me, which makes me question whether "Still Life" is a new or final chapter for Big Bang. They were as follows: [assuming the English captions fairly represent what was intended to be expressed] 0:33-0:35 GD doesn't sing, but instead says, "Four Seasons With No Reason" before he begins to sing his part; 0:55-0:56 T.O.P. doesn't sing, but instead says, "Good-bye" which seems stuck in-between two verses that he rapped or sang; Then there is the "Road Construction Ahead" and "Wrong Way" signs directly in front of GD's mural; There is also the writing on the wall that reads "Happier Times Are Gone" behind GD while he is singing, rapping, and/or dancing; and the final thing that stuck out to me is... 2:00-2:10 when Daesung sings "For the day, the moment that will come again someday (for you)" there is someone sitting in a chair alone behind Daesung, and then that someone disappears (representing who?); I'm not sure that VIP is represented there because they used that audience scene with light sticks when they wanted to represent VIP; So, my uneducated guess is that it was representing Seungri. The psalm reading(s) seem self-explanatory, so no need for me to opine on them. Finally, I saw a reaction by an Indonesian reactor wherein she opined that even the release date has significance. This is a very emotional song. I feel this is BigBang's swan song, and a way to properly say goodbye to all of us. It's the end of an era, and the end of one of the greatest groups ever. Still Life as in a static scene. Still Life also means there is still Life after BigBang.

We almost knew everything they've been through.. From the survival, to the debut, to people being skeptical about their group, then Lies, Last farewell and Haru-haru happened that earned them their rightful place until now, those were enough excuses to make us bawl out while watching the MV.. I was a mess watching the MV.. There were too many hidden messages in it.. It was nostalgic.. And the music itself is too powerful it could stir up something from within you, a fan or not.. It's just the perfect song to release coz tbh we can't expect them to release a banger.. That's not BB.. These guys are sentimental.. I've met few VIPs from 2006 debut era VIPs on TH-cam after STIL LIFE. Thank you so much for being with Bigbang from when they had nothing to during their ups and down and when they're huge. I've been with Bigbang since 2008 when they were in the process of making their names into legend. I've watched reaction of old VIPs and I'm gonna tell you the emotional while watching with you is different than those reactors who are just after views.

BIGBANG was that group that introduced me to KPOP as I'm sure it was for most people. For new fans listen up. KPOP wouldn't be as popular as it is today if it wasn't for BIGBANG. In my opinion, they were the 1st group that piqued the west interest to view music outside of the US etc.
Exactly. Everything here has a meaning, or like Tina said it has a lot of symbolism, not just randomly put there. And people like VIPs who grow up with BIGBANG and know what they've been through will understand that and can relate to that. Still Life is not just a song. It is an art with very deep meaning, a special gift, a love letter to people in common (and to VIPs in particular)

hi to all. I am also a VIP for around 10 years and I also saw them going through all their scandals, pain and stuff. I also have grown a lot and become an adult person during those years but I will never forget them as my first kpop band which got me into kpop

I'm not going to lie. I haven't teared up when watching other reactors' reactions, but I did feel sad. But watching your reaction made me feel like crying and actually teared up. I haven't kept up with any other K-pop group except for Big Bang. I grew up with them, and I felt exactly how you and your family members felt.

I've met few VIPs from 2006 debut era VIPs on TH-cam after STIL LIFE. Thank you so much for being with Bigbang from when they had nothing to during their ups and down and when they're huge. I've been with Bigbang since 2008 when they were in the process of making their names into legend. I've watched reaction of old VIPs and I'm gonna tell you the emotional while watching with you is different than those reactors who are just after views.

For new fans listen up. KPOP wouldn't be as popular as it is today if it wasn't for BIGBANG. In my opinion, they were the 1st group that piqued the west interest to view music outside of the US etc.

And people like VIPs who grow up with BIGBANG and know what they've been through will understand that and can relate to that. Still Life is not just a song. It is an art with very deep meaning, a special gift, a love letter to people in common (and to VIPs in particular)

And they made a couple references to Seungri, the umbrella, the chairs (one of them is pretty up and the logo at the end still had 5 stripes.
