My Red lived 18 years and was incredible smart as well. Scary smart. I could tell her to get me a screw driver, shed' jump on the bench and get one. Even knew Philips and Standard. No so good with sockets but would bring the 'ratchet box' when I asked. I'd never have any other breed. The only reason I wish I were younger is so I could get another. Today, the dog would outlive me and I couldn't bear the thought of leaving it with someone who wouldn't love it as much.
He was ready at what would be 3 then knew oh this game again and laid down to wait on nonsense to end.then hears the turn in your voice and prepares again.super smart.needs more games.
For folks who don't know about Heelers, they truly are that smart. My brother has one and it's one of the best and smartest dogs I've ever been around. Amazing how fast they learn commands. The aren't really big but nevertheless are excellent watch dogs with a lot of courage.
Fell in love with my girlfriend’s Heeler. Crazy smart and so loyal. I’ve had many breeds throughout my life and can honestly say Heelers are my favorite.
1/22/24 I lost my Chief.. he was my best friend, we literally did EVERYTHING together. (Slept, ate, drank, shit, EVERYTHING... lived kinda off grid together) He was so damn smart. Maybe it's the red heeler breed, maybe it was just a perfect fit but I better see that dog in heaven ❤
7/8/24 I loved my best fiend of 10 years to mega esophagus. I was 19 in an old motor home my dad gave me headed for alaska. When a druggie ask my if I wanted a dog. The best $25 dollars I've ever spent. There's and empty spot in my soul now. Oh the adventures, memories, lessons, and live we have for each other. Until we meet again Wylie.
Love watching this what a great dog thank you for sharing your video I just got my hands on a 5-week-old blue heeler and I'll be rescuing it for my friend who's going to be the foster parent when she turns 3 months can't wait to get her she's beautiful
I really want one these for a friend. I'm also old/wise enough to know, I may have the space or energy they deserve, to the best they can be, and thus live the happiest that they can.
I do the same thing with my boy for breakfast and dinner, I make him sit and give me eye contact for however long I make him wait before I say "okay". Cattle dogs are wonderful smart stubborn dogs, definitely recommend for people who've owned dogs before not really the best Breed for new dog owners.
What is his favorite treats ? My blue healer( I don’t have her any more) loved her frisbee, not food motivated but toy motivated, and just that one, You have a very special Pup !!
@@michellej7734 Sorry but my boy's was cropped at birth .... That im 100% sure of since i was the there and watched it ... Both mother and father were 100% heeler ...
I have a Aussie/ACD mix and I swear to goodness he understands every word I say. Same with my purebred Aussie, although she was nowhere near as stubborn. 😂 I’m getting older so the energy level is getting more challenging but I can’t imagine having any other breed. Love them ❤
You don't know it yet ... that heeler is learning to out-smart you. My Queensland, in his old age, used to anticipate a lot of my tricks I would try to play on him.
The other day, my red healer asked so politely for me to put down his window while diving in the truck....I explained that the windows are random and I have no control of them. He he processed for 2 seconds, laughed wholeheartedly at my joke, and then reminded me that the window was still up. ....and that's the way we are. It's kinda weird....
"OK, she skipped three, went to the next uneven positive integer, skipped to the second next uneven whole number, backtracked from there to the skipped five, so it only figures she's going to backtrack again to three. At least she didn't try √9. I think next time I'm just going to whip left around the kitchen island, grab the treat and be done with it. I need to catch up on watching videos of that cat that presses buttons to talk."
Me Texas heeler doesn’t always come when I say “come here” so instead I count down from 5, and she races towards me just before I count 1 😂 she’s super smart
Any tips for training. I have a 2 year old female. She is a great dog but man she is a handful to socialize and train. She bites so fast and is so dominant with others. The flash bite is like lighting.
I have an interesting story. One day,I went out to the horses. And lo and behold a stray dog was hanging out in the horse pens, with the horses. And he is wary if humans.not unfriendly, just won't come or be petted. And the horses seemed to like him. I let the horses out and they even showed him where he can get out to leave if hewants,but,no...he wants to stay. The leader of the herd is Hawkeye. He even went and asked Hawkeye if he can be a member of his herd. Naturally,Hawkeye says yes. So,the horses managed to aquire themelves a dog. He guards the horses, hangs out with the horses, really loves Hawkeye, you could say he's Hawkeyes dog. And this dog has made friends with my other dog, doesn't bother the cats but is definitely a member of Hawkeyes herd. So... I asked Hawkeye what did you name your dog? And I was silent for awhile, and all of a sudden, I heard the name in my mind Hawkeye calls him...little horse.....this mysterious dog is a Heeler....
The dog might also be reacting off of the way she is saying the word "three". She said it with a more excited tone in her voice than the other numbers, but still a very smart dog and cute video nonetheless! 😊

That's awesome... and I completely get what you mean. May we see our heelers later on my friend...
18????? that’s amazing!!!!!
Aww...do it ❤ you deserve one another..-.just a girl who loves dogs
18 that's impressive
18 is an incredible life with a Red. Mine turned 14 in May, he is the best dog! I might be biased though!
He can either count or knows three follows two. He was ready to go after two. Very quick reation when he knew you were being tricky.
Exactly!!
He was ready at what would be 3 then knew oh this game again and laid down to wait on nonsense to end.then hears the turn in your voice and prepares again.super smart.needs more games.
I love that little excited hop 💕🐾
I have had blues and reds. They were all scary intelligent. Love the breed.
If they are scary intelligent, are you sure it's not you being scary dumb?
The canine specie doesn't come in 150 IQ versions.

lost mine and want to see her in heaven too
He has a perfect circle on his back.
Looks like bingo
As soon as he didn't hear three he was like "Oh, here we go🙄" and laid down, waiting for you to ro finish 😂😂😂
Better self control than I’ve ever had
Training a dog to do basic stuff makes it the smartest dog ever.

Healers are razor sharp. My blue had laser focus.

If I didn't know this dog was a boy, I would probably mistake him for Chilli.
That is so awesome! I have a Red heeler too. They are amazing! ❤️
I have a heeler pup and they are extremely smart what a cutie
The ORIGINAL FAMOUS ACD "SKIDBOOT" was famous for doing similar tricks.
Omg he is the best boy!!! ❤❤ Thank you for sharing this cuteness 🥰🥰
The fact he anticipated 3 comes after 2 is what I noticed most.
Haha, mine does that in English, Japanese, French, Italian and Hebrew 😂
Super good boy! He understands English 😂❤
it has a little blue heeler coat on him! so cute
He hopped 😁💕
Extremely impressive👍👍👍👍.
Ive my husvands heullar very very smart but. Loving❤

Almost looks like my blue red mix girl Jupiter! Except mine has big panda eyes. Super cute! I do the same thing! They are scary smart!
Mine does this he's only 7months. He's a smart little man.
Omg so freaking smart and adorable

Soon as she said 5 pup was like imma just lay down for this, she’s tryna bullshit again 😂
The flinch was great 😂
Absolutely awesome...he knew when 3 was supposed to come and said "damn she playing tricks again"....good boy.
Cut little tan sade spot on his back! ❤️
My Tonto was a Blue Heeler with the cropped tail as well ... They are smart and loyal ... I miss my boy !! ❤
The tail isn't cropped there is a line that is born that way.

What a jump!

There a bunch of ties for winner out there. Mine can do this too! She knows 200+ words and sign language. 😊

❤❤❤Pure joy
Love how after that flinch he’s just like “yeah human o was just making sure you remembered how to count. Gotta get up pretty early to -“

Its not the words, its the tone. ❤
My heeler still doesn't understand how glass works. He also doesn't understand the dog door.
I have a red heeler and a blue one too ❤😊
Beautiful dog❤.
Good one! Heeler are the best and we sure love our boy Jasper.
What a GOOD BOI!!!
I have a heeler lab mix and she is the biggest helpful on our farm. Not even 1 yet but helps with sticks and follows me everywhere
When he layed down he knew she wasn't
just going to say "1, 2, 3" 😂
Oh ... and good job "mom and dad"
He was ready to go!! ❤
Just me sitting with my 12 week old heeler
Sally was blue and was5 months from 16 and had been blind for two years.
Bingo in real life

He didn’t understand the number 3 itself. He understood because you didn’t yell out any other number like you did with number 3.
He looked like he was expecting it on 3 tho look at the little lunge he does
He is such a smart dog ❤
Mine has to wait even forever until I tell him Yes You can 😆
They are that smart and they want to please you more than anything!!
Good Boy !!!!
Great work Max!! Hoomanz always messing with us hahahah
That is LITERALLY bingo he has the same patterns and everything 😭💀
It doesnt know the number. It knows the tone.
Smithfield, they're the smartest.
Omg!! Your boy and my boy could almost be twins!!
A Skidboot trick❤
I have red heeler whippet mix the intelligence and energy is crazy!
He's really smart!
😼 _"...for a dog!"_ 🐾
I have a Heeler puppy also Intelligent.
So smart, can count for sure
Cute!!
That's amazing
I wouldn’t say the smartest. But well trained. Lol.

I’m going to have to try this with the family dog. She’s a red heeler mix ❤
Our Border Collie will just take something when you tell her you can get it. Smart Max😊
It's not the numbers. It's the way you say the final letter has become a release command
You must not have owned a healer

Maybe keep a muzzle on her when going out just to keep others safe. Then you won’t have to worry as much about her biting.
SWEET BOY...
Love the skip
❤❤❤❤❤❤
All dogs are smart Smarter than us We do all the work and they get everything handed to them on a silver platter So who really owns who?
well.. hes a smart one.. but he ain't no skidboot... my cowboy does the same pounce.... HB
That dog be smarter than me💀❤
Question .why does he have a docked tail .is he a Smithfield? Or has he suffered a hematoma on his tail
