I forgot this was sax- heavy lol. I never cared for this back in the day, but I re-found it as an adult and now love it.

Richard Marx is one of those fortunate men who looks better now that he's older. Haven't heard any of his music since the 80s but saw a pic of him recently and was like, hey he look good without all that extra 80s hair 🤣

***RICHARD MARX TRIVIA TIME!!*** ..do you remember!? ..you DON'T!??
    (0:53)
..Oh was this tune big... ....B----I----G!!! ...the 3rd single from Richard's debut CD from 1987...this tune peaked at #2 Pop, but was a MASSIVE Adult contemporary hit, which set Richard up for LIFE with an Older 'Soft Rock' crowd; ...it hit #2 there, behind Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"....
...he got his FIRST #1 with the next single, "Hold On To The Nights"...which, NO ONE plays anymore, they ONLY play "Endless Summer Nights"! ...He was supposed to film the Video in Hawaii, but, he was touring, and his Record label was like, '...Oh, NO, you film it RIGHT there, in Chicago....' ...SO....
...It was also the demo Richard used to get a Record deal, with everyone telling him it's a flop, and would NEVER be a hit....when, it now brings in 35% of his residuals! ...take THAT!! ...ha-HAA!! ...the charts, March., 1988....

This is a bop and it's still played on the radio. Besides being a musician, he made his living by writing for other artists and bands. He's good.

I love how you're honest. Sometimes I wonder about other reaction videos. Are they acting like they like it for clicks or what?

There's a newer song from him called Beautiful Goodbye. He co-wrote it with his now-wife, Daisy Fuentes. It is hands down the most beautiful booty call song I've ever heard and the video? Whooooooo .....dayum sexy. He also just released a new album. He sounds the same. He's known for being pitch-perfect and I have to agree, I've never heard him sound bad. My fave by him is Hazard, although the aforementioned song is slowly inching it down to 2nd place. He wrote Hazard just because he wanted to challenge himself and do a murder-mystery type song. Love the video for many reasons, at the top has to be when he cut his mullet off! Hallelujah!

Richard Marx is the Dorian Gray of the 80s. So hot now & not in a plastic surgery way. He wrote a lot of songs for other artists & sang back up as one of the male voices in Madonna’s Material Girl.

Richard was also back up vocals in Madonna's White Heat on her True Blue Album. His voice really comes through on the 2 words in the chorus Stand Tall.

Is that so? I knew he was a backup singer for Lionel Richie before his solo career but not for Madonna.

This song was a huge hit in 1988. This song peaked at n.2 in US iin march 1988, behind ''Man in the Mirror'' by Michael Jackson. His debut album was a commercial success with four top 5 singles in this album including this song naturally.
His debut was successful, but his next album was more huge and like the debut album, including many successful hit, including the massive successful ''Right Here Waiting''.
