      No problem! Lyapunov is such an underrated composer and I think he deserves more recognition for his amazing music.

    Not a patch on the performance of Michael Ponti - notice that Shorena perhaps lacks the last ounce of polish with the bravura passages (which hold no bounds for the technique of Mr Ponti...) - however this is a very delicate and wholly personal performance appealing to the purists.

    The key is F-sharp minor.

    Piano needs to be retuned, it’s a bit sharp on some notes

      For many reasons, mostly because they simply don’t know it. It usually takes a pianist to get interested first, but you’ll be happy to know I will be playing it with an orchestra in California in October, along with Prokofiev Concerto No. 1. I’ve done the Lyapunov three times before and the audiences have loved it every time. It’s especially poignant now because of the war. Слава Украине! Украина 🇺🇦
