I’m on my fifth rouge since they came out never had any trouble with what he’s talking about!!! Loved them all !!! Have a 2021 awd sv almost a year no problems !!!
Have you had any new updates in regards to issues from your Rogue in 2023?
I bought my 2021 nissan rogue in July. I have none of these issues.
Had my 2021 AWD SV since October and zero issues….removed the cargo cover day 1, as it was a pain from the start…..used it in he snow multiple times and love the intelligent AWD…..maybe 6+ months on from you they have figured out the build issues! Appreciate your videos!

Sun visor fell of the ceiling with wires hanging out and now doesn’t function at all. Still getting error messages telling me apply parking brake and then the transmission won’t go into park even after the vehicle is off. Lots of other problems too. I wouldn’t buy one

I have a used 2021 rogue sv awd. So far this car is solid im honestly impressed. Doesn't say much since my last car was a 2004 rav4. So this car feels like space ship. Super smooth with many bells and whistles.

At night are you able to turn your headlights off? Whether it’s to the running lights or completely off? I was driving in fog at night and wanted to turn the headlights down to running lights and it would let me adjustment at all. Only allows me to turn the high beams on and off. My headlight knobs doesn’t change anything while in drive. Anyone else have this happen?

My 39 month lease of the 2021 Rogue just ended, and overall, I really enjoyed driving this vehicle. Issues I had included a squeaky passenger side front window in the summer months that they were never able to fix, several issues with the infotainment screen and Android Auto that required the car to be turned off and left for a few minutes, and most annoyingly a speed discrepancy between the speedometer and GPS of 2 km on summer tires and 5 to 6 km on winter tires. Additionally, the backup camera became quite hazy after the first year. Just in the last month of my lease did I notice the piece on the dash coming up as shown in this video. As I said, I liked driving the Rogue, but despite the appealing buyout price, I did not feel confident owning it long-term. I returned it yesterday 😢.
I bought mine last year in January. I've had the park error come up. My display screen also lags and freezes. It actually went blank today. That's how I found your video and thanks for the fix it tip. Also I've had to replace 2 batteries already. I'm convinced there are some electrical issues but Nissan tells me everything has been checked. I just had bad luck with 2 faulty batteries. Also I've given up on the remote start. It works when it wants.
That’s why you buy the platinum version. They’re all made in Japan and are much better built than lesser American built versions.
Nice informative video! I’ve owned my 2021 Rogue for 8 days now and my infotainment screen has frozen several times now. Also when it gets cold outside there is an annoying clicking noise everytime I press the gas pedal.

Thank you for your Rogue videos. I also have the issue with the cargo cover but when it is closed. I hear squeaking usually when I drive on the highway. I can't figure out how to stop it. Also, would you know if there is a space under the cargo floor to put the cargo cover away? I know the previous year's Rogue, there is a space to store the cargo cover.
Thanks man! I don’t believe there anywhere to store the cargo cover. I have experienced the squeaking when in use as well. I do have a solution though! Grab a can of silicone lubricant spray. It’s a clear lubricant that’s used for plastic and interior trim as well as seat belts. It won’t stain anything either! It’s great because it’s like a thin film not an actual grease. Works great for that and other squeaky interior panels. Hope that helps!

@@SmokinMonkeyOG not exactly sure where on the cargo cover it’s making that noise so I’m not sure where to put the lubricant at.
I think it’s the clips that hold it in place on the roll when it’s rolled up. And when in use I think it’s where it contacts the vehicle at the back
I also have the issues with remote start and vehicle shutting off. Sometimes when I use the keyless entry button outside the door, and sometimes when I’m in the vehicle and press the start button. Sometimes it works completely fine. Very odd. Also the remote start sometimes won’t work at all as you mentioned.
Oh bummer! I have a 2021 SV Premium. I love it! What did your VIN start with? Mine was made in Japan. Vin starts with JN. I don't have the rear cargo cover to relate to. I did have an interior upper-pillar leak with the roof-rails seal not installed properly (a service bulletin), fixed at no cost. My rear wiper knows when it's raining when I turn on the front wipers (even without the rear wipers engaged); just does a few swipes for clarity, and then it's up to me to turn the rears on if I want them, no issues. I have not used the remote start from the key fob as of yet, but I will have to test it now. I use the remote start from the phone app.
It's been a year now but I got this issue fixed where apparently when it rained the water sort of sneeked in the trunk of the vehicle damage the rear cam. Had to go to 2 different service centres and what's funny is they gave 2 different diagnostics. 1. Rear cam wires damaged. 2. Some water stopper patch replacement. (One problem each from service centres I visited)
My dash is doing that. My sunroof is fine. My 9" screen doesnt lag or freeze but will shut off. My passenger seat had an annoying rattle being heated. It goes into 1 instead of D. It has went into limp mode once and on cold mornings, my sensors wont work. Malfuntions display on the screen. New years eve, it kicked out of park and rolled into a shallow lake. Now its being repaired for cosmetic. Bought it back in august with 8,700 miles.
Key thing happens to me. With remote start. Turns off as soon as you open the door. Now the car doesnt want to accelerate past 40mph. I get a malfunction alert/ overheat message/ head light system error

I’ve an 2021 Plutinum, few issues with the battery, but mostly can’t complain much.
that's why I don't buy the FIRST YEAR model or let alone - the FIRST YEAR REDESIGNED model... 2nd or 3rd year would be the best were all the flaws has been addressed or fixed. It's all the same across all brands. There's also a chance a buyer could've gotten a BAD unit, but that's not necessarily mean it has the same problem with others. This unit looks like it gone through poor quality inspection from the factory.

Yep. Everyone was suffocating in masks and stressed to the max in 2020/2021 during Covid, so it's no wonder some cars had bad QC
It won't start if something isn't in place. Check to make sure all the doors are closed if it won't start.
No if you try like 3 -5 time it works eventually just a pain
Any one having a big drop in gas mileage after getting the fuel pump replaced under recall? I drive mostly highway. My mileage was about 28 mpg prior to getting fixed. It’s now averaging 24.4 dealership days that’s good.
Also, does anyone have issues where it revs high and gets stuck shifting and you have to bump the shifter to make sure it’s locked into drive?
It might help to pick one that is fully made in Japan as opposed to slackass America.
If the VIN starts with J, it's made in Japan.

Did you ever think of getting an Outlander? It's basically a Rogue that's built in Japan and not in a Tennessee factory, so it should be less likely to have quality issues
Not my choice. It’s a company car provided to me. I just drive it. Didn’t buy the rogue myself but I use it daily as my vehicle so I live with the thing like I did buy it. But personally the outlander would be a great vehicle over the rogue for sure.
I have problems with the remote start! I thought I wasn't pressing down on the bottom hard enough.
Currently I am getting the 'engine failure' messages
Remote start seems to be a common issue. But I don’t know what would cause the error message you’re getting.
Hello there. Thank you for your videos I really appreciate them. My biggest issue with my 2021 Nissan Rogue is the starter. The key fob is the worst for starting my car usually never works. The nissan connect app is a hit and miss. It will start my car most of the time but when it gets more than -20 (Alberta weather) it will not work. So basically the coldest days when I need to use my starter it doesn't work. It is very disappointing 😞

@@SmokinMonkeyOG oh no that's insane and the dealership can't do anything? Im taking mine in to see what they can do. What I like about the nissan connect app is that it does show you all the failed attempts in starting the vehicle. With the winter we got this year having a reliable starter is a must.
Nope no luck from my dealer unfortunately. The Nissan connect ap also stopped updating my mileage since the second month I’ve had the vehicle. And the gas mileage is also rarely updated. Very disappointing since this stuff is really useful when it works.
Key fob in cold weather sometimes makes a grinding sound. Or doesn't start at all. Never does it for the dealer. I would have to leave the vehicle overnight when its cold.
Hi can you or anyone tell me if your rogue came with an engine cover? I'm having an issue with my dealer regarding whether it came with one or not and was told that some come with it and some don't?

Thus is ridiculous that a parking brake computer program can disable your vehicle by accident!! She will never buy another Nissan again after all these headaches with the 2021 rogue. Junk.

Best to avoid ANY cars built in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Many vehicles built during Covid (including Honda and Toyota) are having more reliability issues than before Covid. Auto workers were incredible stressed and/or sick and were stuck in a mask, often in hot conditions where they could barely breathe (Big thanks to Communist China for this war crime against the world), so I'm sure it took a toll on quality control. I would buy 2023 or newer or 2019 or older.

I purchased the 2021 Nissan Rogue in December 2021 first thing one of the keys didn’t one that should have been a warning to not get it since then been back to the shop twice for a lot of annoying wind noise they still have not fixed it and some time my hold dash board goes out including the infotainment system and my side mirrors keep moving I’m constantly having to reset them I’ve been a Nissan customer for 30 years or more but this rogue is going to change that.
I got one on January and didn't have any problem or issue as you are saying, except horn, is ridiculous for this size car. I don't need pushing ceiling or smashing deck, or .... a lot of stupidities. Infotainment screen works normal, not freeze nor anything, and I live at Chicagoland, where weather is not friendly.

Hi all, I have a 2021 Rogue - two years into my three year lease At about 18 months in, we started to experience a hopping, shifting, sliding, shimmy feeling (seems from the back) when going over bumps or uneven spots in the road. I've had it to the dealer a number of times with no resolve and the last visit they kept it for two weeks. They changed the tires to a brand new set and was told that a Nissan specialist looked at the car. Checked everything torqued everything to spec and the same thing still happens. Anybody else have this experience?
Check that the park brake isn't stuck.

Hi, … I just bought a 2021 rogue so with premium package. I tried to put the flat cover board over the spare tire and it doesn’t seem to fit, I’ve tried every way you can think of, but still no success. Do you, or anybody here knows anything about it???

Should never leave your wipers on when you shut off the car. Puts too much stress on the motor especially in cold
Take it back to the dealer with these issues. key fob. could be a issue with a sensor . never had a issue with the key fob on my 16,19 and 21 .. i did have issues with the rear sensors of getting to close as you indicated the brakes stop. i took mine back to nissan was on my 19 there was a recall and a program update that corrected it. may need to try that with your nissan dealer
update it's been more than yr now with 2021 platinum no issues yet knock on wood.
2021 SV. Less than 4000 miles. Had to reset the Infotainment screen recently. Also, coming out of the Colorado mountains on a cold day got a "Engine Malfunction. Reduced power" message - limped home. Service couldn't replicate the problem. We're now quite concerned about getting stuck in a dangerous situation. POS vehicle.

My wife's as 17k miles on it and broke down. A bad ecm they replaced it but can't get it reprogrammed correctly
None of those in my platinum and I live in California no dash problems
They always tell you not to buy the first year of a car that’s redesigned,it always happens to every brand of car , so stop complaining

The car will turn off after approximately 5 minutes so it might be coincidental that the engine stops when you get in.
I don't know why people choose a Nissan when the Toyotas are in the same price range
I am driving 2017 Honda CRV now . I have almost same issue like your car has. I drove 2015 Nissan Rogue and never had any problem though.
I think that Nissan should've let the old Rogue go for one more model year and let the new Rogue wait until 2022, especially if 2022 is the year they give North America the 1.5T engine. To iron out problems, the Chinese market Rogue already has the 1.5 engine, so Nissan can just use the Chinese market to iron out all these issues. It's just more efficient if Nissan only has to design one engine mount that links the new Rogue to the 1.5T, as opposed to Nissan having to design an engine mount twice: one linking the new Rogue to the 2.5 engine that's only found on the North American 2021 Rogue for the short term, and then designing another engine mount linking the 1.5t to the new Rogue.
Canadian customers only see the new 3 cyl 1.5T on the upper models. Canadians are getting the hand me downs as usual.
I disagree. The one really good thing about the Rogue is that the 2.5 has been around forever and is a proven long term reliable engine. Turbocharged engines are notoriously expensive to fix and don't last as long as well built naturally aspirated engines. Of course, if you're leasing, then it doesn't matter. But if you're buying it to keep for a long time, then the 2.5 is a much better choice.

Please remove the splash guard over oil pan and filter with 18 plastic pins and 2 bolts to much work for what should be a simple job more labor cost 😤☹️☹️
Remote start push the lock button twice and then push the remote start button
Also, make sure it’s turned on
My owners manual states push lock once. My dealer and service advisor also said the same thing. Not sure where you’re getting that you have to push the lock twice. My way works fine it’s just the car doesn’t read the remote most of the time and it doesn’t work when you want it too
Shitty cars, cheap quality parts. My other vehicles have this feature and work from twice the distance with the remote in my pocket. The Nissan you need to hold it in weird ways just to get it to work and it only works from a couple yards away. My brother owns an infinity (another Nissan garbage) that cost 80k new and same bullshit problems

I would never buy a new Nissan rogue. They are absolute junk. If you have the three banger, do you wanna sell it as soon as you can
My dad always was a Nissan guy and Datsun ( prior model for nissan) before that. He wouldn't even hear another brands name. I can't even begin to tell you what noises we faced in car. Engine lacking torque. electric, power steering you name we had it. Finally, 5 years ago he listened to me and went with toyota and again another toyota. He is now smiles really smiles. Loves driving. Now he always tells me thankyou son for trying to tell me Nissan is a mediocre brand. I spent all my savings on those cars. He had no complains with toyota, soundless, perfect. He said he will never go back to Nissan. By the a very close friend of mine was trying sell me Nissan, I did research and boy were those reviews bad. I said no, he even begged me , saying pay only 1000 for that car. No way. Keep it.

I had a Rogue SV 2017, maybe Premium trim, don't know. The best car I had (I had a lot). With features as a high gama SUVs, everything you can imagine, except leather seats and LED high beams.

I have one Rogue 2021, having issues since two months old. Now, the car has 1 year.... having issues with the fuel pump (turn off itself when driving and parking), front power train sounds when break and when move the steering wheel. Do not buy this piece of shit, the warranty is very bad like the car. Go and buy a Rav 4.
