Sorry to burst your bubble ,but there's no way you have sharpened this twist drill properly. You have ground 2 sharp equal angles only which proved that the drill cuts poorly. A drill when sharpened properly, emits long spiral pigs tail shaped chips as it cuts efficiently. What you need to do is grind clearance on those areas behind the cutting edges. Those who know what they are doing when drilling a hole as large a you have ?? (1/2") do this by by center popping first and then to drill a pilot hole say a 1/3rd of the big diameter ( 1/2' / 3) say 3/16". Then use the correct drill speed for the drill and use a suitable lubricant. The seems to be a plethora of similar videos all over the net and they only seemed concerned with the included angle. Please look at some machinists books in the library or better yet find a machinist who can show you how to grind in the clearances to properly sharpen a twist drill. It was a basic trade skill when I went through trade college. Best of luck with your next try.
