I love the way he never incriminates himself whatsoever. Very smart, few word answers. You know everyone and their brother involved in law enforcement watched and listened, waiting for him to say something, because he was found innocent for a lot of things you know damn well the government can't stand to lose. When they want you, they want you. I say, take your losses like men, he was tried by our US citizens and won. Leave the man alone and let him get on with his life, he does more for kids than celebrities with hundreds of millions of dollars do and is a real man in my opinion because he never denied doing anything illegal and knew what could happen, but, unlike a lot of guys, took every loss like a man and did his time and kept his mouth closed, except to eat. That's why I love Merlino like he was my long lost brother, I grew up the same way. Dad, whom I lost last year, always told me, son, if you choose to willingly do something stupid or,God for bid, illegal, don't call me for bail, and keep your mouth shut and take your licks like a man, never Rat, because you chose to get involved.

@@mikeydubbz1 its not like he talking about shit he did I see nothing wrong with it lucky luciano did interviews so did joe bonanno so its been done
That shrug that Joey gives to Vlad at 4:54 made me laugh so hard that I spit my drink out. The eyes never lie. One quick look and it's easy to envision Joe busting someone up with a pipe or lying in wait before he comes out of the shadows and puts 3 bullets in the back of someones head.
He has done that many times. Him and his crew went to war with Stanfa who was a backed boss by the commission. The streets of south Philly ran red for many years in the 90s.
@@christianburk7309thanks for the comment Christian💭
That shit was funny
This guy is the real deal. Tough guy. There were numerous attempts on him but he still survived.
Facts ppl gotta pay homage he last of a dying breed
Joey @ 5:44 '' I want to talk about the rats''
Vlad '' fair enough'' Cut to End
😆
I'm on the floor, laughing my ass off.
Stand up guy who never told. I always salute those who understand the life they chose.
This guy is a renegade. Supposedly New York bosses are upset and right now they are contemplating not recognizing him anymore and not doing any future business with Philadelphia. Joey's response is "go F yourself". Allegedlly.
If your from Philly, you know Joey Merlino is a serious person.
FACTS BRO
He looks like a mob boss lmfao especially in the thumbnail
He is a mob boss
He is a mob boss.
He is retired now he still has connections though
@@salvatoreregalbuto5444 haha. Retired my ass.
@@michaelfowler5760yeah like all the "former" CIA guys🤔
Finally a vlad interview I look forward to. Check Joey jacket, never told on a soul and kept doing his time like a man. Joey will forever be a legend here in Philly
Joes giving morse code cyphers with all that blinking 😂
Growing up in South Philly I met him a few times in passing. South Philly is like its own little world and everybody knows everybody. He’s exactly what you see here. Reserved and just cool as a cucumber. Doesn’t bring attention to himself.
Doesn’t bring attention to himself? He’s on Vlad TV lol, but all seriousness he doesn’t seem like a guy who laughs or smiles a lot, he’s so stoic
Joey is no doubt the inspiration of Johnny Tightlips from the Simpsons.
A proper legend.
"So what was it like growing up?"
"Who said anything about growing? i dont know nuttin"
lol
LMFAOOOO
😂😂😂😂
0:17 "Alleged" 😂😂😂
Joey a real street legend never folded on his bros stayed solid 💪💯
Joey Merlino is the real deal. A true real Gangster.impeccable resume. went to trial and jail multiple times and stood tall. Did work in that life himself That a guy like this has a podcast is just a joy to listen to. Philly and Street Legend!
agreed 100%.
Joey is the realest he also survived over 25 attempted hits on his life
@@T.C-J-Town-561 agreed 100% Joey's the real deal.
You guys are idiots
Ok we need the full interview now Vlad
00:34 lolBig Joey clearly did not enjoy Vlad having dugup his mother's full Italian name
The look he gave Vlad nearly made me choke on this sloppy Joe sandwich laughing and also terrified me 😂LOL
How many times can this guy blink😂
I can already tell Gene Borello is going to hate this interview 😂
Gene probably took it out on another girl he beat up again.
Gene is probably working it off by doing lots of cocaine and shooting up roids and having good workouts.
Dudes got straight killer eyes, legit, you can see this dude has bodies
Everybody knows it.....................including the Feds and the prosecutors who tried to put him away.
Yup go watch the clip of him being interviewed by nbc 10 Philadelphia and they ask him about Stanfa. Watch his eyes go absolutely dark and soulless. And Ron previte-“ Joey was a flashy guy , he liked to go out liked women and he was funny but Joey is a stone cold killer too”
@christianburk7309 just like his pops!Ya know, the bartender , mechanic, and whatever, Joey crazy ass said !.. I was laughing so hard I didn't get hear the rest of Chuckies, legit jobs. . 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Yes he does
My man definitely a mob boss 🤣
This is how a mobster properly answers questions
VLAD: ok describe your childhood in the 1960’s
Also VLAD: ok soo did u hear about the Mafia as a Kid
Skinny Joey: NO straight Face
Modern day “same answer sir”
He's saying same awnser just to save time 😂
@@hshsjwbshsjwjekjeje senator it’s either that or “fiffffff”
The worst accent in America is the Philadelphia accent.
Thank you everyone for your support
You are a real one, Skinny. Last of the realist.
Vlad - " Is your name Joseph?"
Joey-" I dont know nuthin' I plead the fifth"
I grew up in south Philly as well , the way Joey described growing up, i think it was pretty typical for many of us then in the 1970's . Always outside , playing sports . No air conditioning at night .
the brother is folding his arms. Clearly doesnt wanna share much. Hope rappers will learn.
How bout just dont be interviewed if you dont wanna share anything. Wasting your time and the interviewer
Congratulations are in order to VladTv for putting this together...
Legendary moment!
Mischief night brings backs old memories in Philly.
It’s like he’s on the stand testifying 😂😂😂😂
Joey is a real stand-up guy, even though they're asking about old shit from back when, still won't talk about it or much about it. Mad respect to The Skinny
Look how calm he is with the breathing before 3:10 . Look at his brest. As soon as Vlad starts the interrogation-view he starts breathing faster. Vlad finds only the criminal stuff interesting and can´t wait to rush there smh. Merlino must be thinking what in the cross examination is going on in here !
This is the greatest Vlad interview ever
Vlad : Here we go with Joey Merlino
Joey Merlino : I dont know anyone named Joey Merlino
I’m starting to think all these Cosa Nostra guys are still active and the families are just capitalizing on social media marketing and merch in order to profit now 😂
Take a shot for every time Joey blinks and you'll die of alcohol poisoning halfway into the video 🤣🤣🤣 He wants to say something so badly every time Vlad speaks but he knows better.
