people usually only complain about cheats when they either make the experience unfun/unfair or when the content creator thinks we are dumb and tries to hide it, pretending he is not using any cheat. When the creator is open and honest, public reaction tends to be better.

Ok a little tip for you my guy you don't necessarily need the omnivore mouth you can just add a herbivore mouth to make your cell an omnivore much faster and for 10 less dna
Or keep switching between the two every evolution.

Only thing I might change aesthetically, the front legs are looking more lion, where griffins usually have bird-like legs in the front. Otherwise not a bad design! Either way, do what makes you happy! Can't wait to see where this one goes!
pro tip for future Omnivore runs, in the Cell Stage you can give your cell both a Carnivore mouth and a Herbivore mouth so that you can eat both before you even get the Omnivore mouth. This lets you stay in the middle for longer. My goto build is to have the Herbivore mouth in the center at the front of my cell and make it as big as possible and have a Carnivore mouth to either side of it
Gold is def the color to go with!!! Golds and browns but maybe a little bit of silver as an accent

Great video and new creature! Big fan of Gryphons so enjoying it so far! Color suggestion from me is probably dark browns or a brown/tan split if you can find a good way to combine them.
Zero problems with the dna cheats as these aren't like ... challenge videos really. These are more about developing a certain critter and while I suppose you can get some advantages for having extra dna, I'd rather see what you can build with the parts you have available than cramp the style by limiting it.
Little tip! You can just put the carnivore AND herbivore mouth on your cell. You don't really need the Straw.

Great video as usual, love your stuff and kinda sad it took me so long to find it. Quick suggestion for the hand youre wanting. Maybe use the tail limb you have and put a hand on the end of it. Id extend it to come maybe curl over to the middle of the body so it doesnt look too odd. Havent played much spore so no idea if this works but yeah, just my thoughts 😅😂

Edit: I love your choice of color, in terms of direction i can see gryphon staying as adaptive, in some fantasy rhey are monsters and in some fantasy they are tamable majestic steeds so really i feel like he can go either way

A tip (i think, because its been a long time since i played) is you can just give the cell both sets of mouth it makes it easy to be omnivore and makes getting through the cell stage a bit faster too. Im pretty sure thats what i used to do for omnivores because the sucker mouth is ass 😂
doing a basilisk or chimera next mythical playthrough would be pretty neat to see

Griffins are generally brown with a white head, I recommend this coloring.

That cell stage was honestly the cutest I have ever seen 😍 As for colors, the red and gold you have are what scream "griffin" in my head. Maybe not stripes though...a classic solid red coat with a yellow underside? Always fine to mix things up though and let the imagination go wild.
Definitely gotta make the coat darker than the yellow you went with

Some depictions of the Griffon give it a snake for a tail, meaning the head of the snake is at the end of the Griffon's tail. That could give you an extra attack like spitting poison.
Chimeras are the creature you're think of.

just so you know, you dont need the sucking thingy to be omnivorous, you can just switch between herbivore and carnivore mouth (or take both) to achieve the varied diet you want

When it comes to cellular mouth parts they have little to nothing to do what mouth parts you get in Creature Stage, what you eat in Cell influences what mouths you have access to in Creature. Best way to assure yourself of Omnivore, in the beginning, is to have BOTH Carnivore AND Herbivore at the same time. I understand the aesthetic you are going for in the video, but without putting the Herbivore mouth on earlier you're making it really hard on yourself to end up Omnivore. If looks really mean that much, just make the Herbivore mouth reeeeeeeally small in comparison to the Carnivore mouth.

Not gonna lie, when I saw the title I thought of Family Guy.
Tbh, as you are trying to go with specific creatures and want them to look as accurate as possible, cheats are forgivable. I would personally say the only time I think cheats are dumb are when it makes a creator's creature/character so OP it's not fun to watch. You tend to only use cheats when you want to make something aesthetic or if you just barely have enough DNA points to make a creature look more accurate to irl or it's mythological description.
