Dr Rajkumar's contribution to success of Gokak Agitation PART II

Documentary Film Maker B S Manohar talks to Suvarna News Channel about his exclusive Documentary film on Dr. Rajkumar's contribution to the success of Gokak Agitation in the 80s. PART - II. The film captures Dr. Raj's entry to the Agitation started by the writers and artistes in 1982 and turns it into a mass movement by travelling extensively all over the State of Karnataka. It documents his huge public meetings at Bangalore and Mysore joined by the entire Kannada filmdom and his emotional interaction with the people, whom he used to call as "Abhimani Devarugalu". Manohar who has 60 films to his credit, talks about the challenges he faced in picturising this Documentary which possibly is the only available visual document of the historic Gokak movement today.
