Hey bro, I live in Switzerland. If I buy one from the US and later when Apple releases it in Switzerland, do you think I can use my own Apple ID with the Swiss region?
If I was a betting man, yes, I do! This initial rollout is just a software lock, similar to how if you buy a US iPhone today, you can use your Swiss Apple ID. I imagine, in the future, Apple wouldn’t have such a restriction on US units as the rollout continues!
@@bradenrnewell oh okay, have you ordered from them before with them delivery Shipito? I wanted to but after hearing that they were cracking down on shipping forwarding companies I figured there wasn’t any point to it.
@@Junaid6305 I have had Apple ship a package via Shipito. That was a few years ago since it's pretty rare hardware doesn't come to Canada right away. But I hear what you're saying, Apple really doesn't seem like they want this product leaving the US. Strong possibility, it may not work out and I'll end up getting one once it comes to Canada. Only time will tell 🤷🏻♂
Hey, finally someone else who ordering an Apple vision from Canada. I live in NB right next to the Maine border. I got mine delivered to a family member who lives in Maine. My expected delivery is Feb 6th. The whole region issue is making me nervous but I think I’ll be able to get around it. But I can let you know how that goes when I get it
Here’s hoping it’s not locked to a US Apple ID 🤞. It’s either an expensive door stopper for 6 months or I buy a VPN and double up on Apple subscriptions which would be a total bummer. Slight buyers remorse here. Ahh well. I’m committed now.
I feel that, Nathan. I think it’ll only App Store downloads will need a US Apple ID. So you can either make one or swap your region. So, it’s not as seamless as say HomePods were in 2018 where I could use my Canadian Apple ID but hey, it’ll make a great conversation piece 😂

Apple doesn’t ship to Shipito and other shipping forwarding companies as far as I’m aware. From what I hear the orders get cancelled later.
