I was hoping gaijin would add a feature in the vehicle customization wherein you could remove the skirts coz I think it looks cool without it like on a panther, a jumbo or an M4A1 76W or even the panzer IV/70 when you put the wide tracks..

The concept of first tank to fire a shot wins the duel applies to every tank in the game. I have a 81% winrate on my 7.0 Brit stress reliever lineup and the only times I lose a duel to Tiger 2s are if I make a mistake for them to shoot my lower plate, or they catch me off guard and sideshot me. Low spalling argument makes no sense, as after you easily pen their turret while on the move with the first shot, there is 0 chance for them to survive as they are breeched and half their crew dies. This is the only lineup I ever use GE wagers in. But yeah, I'll see you in the battlefields of War Thunder on your Tiger 2.. Oh wait, you probably don't play 6.7 Germany because you yourself know how bullshit it is 😂

My gripe with really big maps is how long it takes to get anywhere close to the battle. It's a real incentive to NOT DIE because you're out of the game so long. And I'm talking about getting within a kilometer of a target.
I bought the tiger 2 H S.la 16 because it went on sale recently, by far one of my best purchases ever on WT. it’s highly mobile, crap ton of armour and that gun.. oh my god, it’s the perfect tank. Germany in WT is the best nation, hands down.

I have the sla.16, my favorite vehicle in the game, no competition, it not only helped me grind out German 6.7 as a whole with ease, but it's still awesome to use anyway.
It helps if all your nations tanks are hilariously downtiered and blatantly overpowered, because your average braindead German main basically starts crying when the tech tree is setup to the same standards as France/US/UK
I think you are an AMAZING War Thunder player. Not only a great player (getting into positions and killing enemies). What keeps me coming back is your respect for the team and other players period. So many War Thunder players/ streamers just don't give a flying flip about the objectives, players or working as a team at all. I've been on this game for over 5 years and it has come a long way and yes, it has major issues they need to address. As far as people complaining about your gameplay or anything else on YOUR channel, they can just bugger off and do their own videos. Don't listen to them or let them get you down. Like I said, you are an amazing player and you put OUT GREAT content m keep it up, Oddbawz!!!
for anyone wondering, the Caernarvon is a great counter to this thing. sits at 7.0, so finds it often, has armour enough to bounce that pesky 8.8cm and a fully stabalised 84mm 20 pounder cannon with APDS, that has enough to go through the front of the Tigers front hull.
The Tiger II H Sla.16 was he first premium I ever bough and I still think it's the best and most "fair" premium tank in the whole game. I was still pretty new back then at the game, but I like to believe I did quite well in it regardless. Absolutely love this vehicle.
This video remembered me of old hard times when Tiger II H constantly faced IS-3, IS-4, and T10M's. But now playing Tiger II is looks like easy mode unless you get hit by ATGM or outmaneuvered by fast tanks.

I play the game with mostly highest (some high-medium) settings. Could you talk us through your settings? Even if my PC isn't as beefy. *Personal* : What do you do when War Thunder becomes too much? was wondering how you can see those tanks @ 19:05.. you're right, I atleast can't see them and i can't even imagine how you can identify those tanks as M18's.. great video btw.. 👍
Somebody spotted them as TDs on the minimap, already likely to be a M18 at this BR, it fired and dodged a shot, only possible with a turret 90% of the time, also the shell had a red tracer, those three facts combined almost instantly confirm it as a M18, you can find out some neat things if your observational, and yes it is possible to work out mid fight, I do it hundreds of times while playing and turn out right every time it counts, it's actually pretty neat.

Day 3: autocannon challenge- play a tank with a secondary 20mm and get an ace using the 20mm. You can use the main gun to take out guns and things but the kill must be made with the autocannon
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT. These big maps are so shitty because you spend 3/4 of the game driving, an 1/8 either camping a capture point or camping a hill with no enemies around, and 1/8 getting dinked from 2k by someone who has the distances memorized so they can one bang you first shot nearly every time.
Great video Odd. I would like to see you play the Tiger 1E. The H1 gets a lot of play, but the E is like a forgotten step brother, which is a shame because it is one of my favorites.
I mean it isn't just M18's and BMP's, back when sim battles weren't event only, it was all my buddies and I would play, and we would queue up at the end of a day in fast tanks like the BT's, T-50 and M22 go as far to one side as possible, get in between the spawn and the enemy tanks, and hit them from behind. I'm sure we annoyed a lot of players, but it was still fun. Of course that stopped when when we couldn't play sims anymore. Kinda hard to sneak up on someone when you have markers above your head. Oh teams were not as mixed as they are now as well. so you always knew what to expect.
Fun Fact: the Tiger II is actually a Medium Tank based on German tank classification standards here is a simplistic round down of it. any tank armed with a machine gun to a 75mm gun as its main gun is a light tank. any tank armed with 75mm gun to a 105mm gun is medium tank. any tank armed with a gun exceeding 105mm is a heavy tank
Oddbawz you create a lot of very good content, daily and relevent uploads great music implementations during epic moments great way of showing off vehicles from multiple perspectives editing and shortening it to the moments that are intense but also those that build up the tension. Without sounding like I worship you do I admire your youtube skillzzz :) keep it up you are a great alternative to phlydaily for me because not a lot of youtubers exist(ed) for war thunder
Hey Odd, really enjoying your vids, been watching since (almost) the start!! I've got a cruel suggestions for you - try the Tempest vickers P in a CAS role, there aren't any recent videos on it
When I played the Tiger2 P I was ecstatic at how easy it felt to learn. It had some vulnerabilities but overall it was a lot of fun. However by the time I unlocked the Tiger 2 H I was experiencing the longest full uptier streak I had ever had. It lasted for over two months during which the only games I got were .6 or full uptiers. As a result I just stopped playing it about a third of the upgrades into spading it. The Panther tanks carried me through those months even though I like the tigers more. Playing with any of my rank 3 or 4 tanks would always result in this strange uptier streak and even at lower tiers but at lower tiers you don't really notice too much when you play carefully. It seemed to come to an end after I got the Leo1 from rank 5 but even then most of my rank 3 and 4 games were still uptiers. I never did get back to fully spade the Tiger 2 H even though I managed to do it for the 2 P. It just was not getting the job done and with the Panthers at a lower br but still rank 4 I used them to grind into rank 5.

X.7 Lineups are almost always uptiers. Play with x.0 or x.3 tanka.
Nice video Odd, and since you like challenges i got one for ya. Play the Panzer 4 J, it feels crappy at first but if you take it on it's pace you can do good games on it.
Had 15 kills recently with a failed nuke (shot down) no deaths, finished the game and YT recommends me this gem. Noice. :D Hint for others... I was moving not camping at first rock/hill near our spawn as most germans do.
Their tanks need to snipe? What? Try using british tanks close range... good luck against german front plates when you need to quick shot them bud But yea SOME of their tanks are better for sniping like the panzerjaeger

@@RyRy-lb1wx I mean really? You can knock out the King Tiger easily in close range. Same goes for Panthers. Apart from these two, there are TDs and Bulldog that they mostly play. Most of the time German players just sit in the fucking base trying to snipe people. That's why they lose. They got mostly better scopes most of the time, their guns are great so they just lose trying to get to the battlefield anyway.
Enemies when Odd plays a heavy : "Huh? I shoot front plate?" "I shoot angled side?" "I don't see him, what do you mean?" "Bomb? What's that?" Enemies when I'm playing heavy : "CBT bois. @@PaperEater_ wish I could play like you bro.. I play on a PS4 and I have a big screen but I still can't see anything from that range.. that's why I mostly play AB coz I have problems locating enemies, I try RB from time to time but I don't have much success if it's a long range engagement..
@@userjlj hey man, im on ps4, with a controller, just try to get more information from your hud and environment, and trust me, what i do is kinda absurd, i've heard it from my friends and many others, good luck m8, i could give you my psn but i really don't play WT anymore, the game is a bit of a mess, at least atm

Day 3: autocannon challenge- play a tank with a secondary 20mm and get an ace using the 20mm. You can use the main gun to take out guns and things but the kill must be made with the autocannon
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT. These big maps are so shitty because you spend 3/4 of the game driving, an 1/8 either camping a capture point or camping a hill with no enemies around, and 1/8 getting dinked from 2k by someone who has the distances memorized so they can one bang you first shot nearly every time.

Great video Odd. I would like to see you play the Tiger 1E. The H1 gets a lot of play, but the E is like a forgotten step brother, which is a shame because it is one of my favorites.
I like the H1 more than the E cause with the E i always get at 6.3/6.7 and it’s pretty much useless

I was just thinking about wanting a Tiger II video within the past few days...
I mean it isn't just M18's and BMP's, back when sim battles weren't event only, it was all my buddies and I would play, and we would queue up at the end of a day in fast tanks like the BT's, T-50 and M22 go as far to one side as possible, get in between the spawn and the enemy tanks, and hit them from behind. I'm sure we annoyed a lot of players, but it was still fun. Of course that stopped when when we couldn't play sims anymore. Kinda hard to sneak up on someone when you have markers above your head. Oh teams were not as mixed as they are now as well. so you always knew what to expect.
Fun Fact: the Tiger II is actually a Medium Tank based on German tank classification standards here is a simplistic round down of it.
any tank armed with a machine gun to a 75mm gun as its main gun is a light tank. any tank armed with 75mm gun to a 105mm gun is medium tank. any tank armed with a gun exceeding 105mm is a heavy tank

When I played the Tiger2 P I was ecstatic at how easy it felt to learn. It had some vulnerabilities but overall it was a lot of fun. However by the time I unlocked the Tiger 2 H I was experiencing the longest full uptier streak I had ever had. It lasted for over two months during which the only games I got were .6 or full uptiers. As a result I just stopped playing it about a third of the upgrades into spading it. The Panther tanks carried me through those months even though I like the tigers more. Playing with any of my rank 3 or 4 tanks would always result in this strange uptier streak and even at lower tiers but at lower tiers you don't really notice too much when you play carefully. It seemed to come to an end after I got the Leo1 from rank 5 but even then most of my rank 3 and 4 games were still uptiers. I never did get back to fully spade the Tiger 2 H even though I managed to do it for the 2 P. It just was not getting the job done and with the Panthers at a lower br but still rank 4 I used them to grind into rank 5.
X.7 Lineups are almost always uptiers. Play with x.0 or x.3 tanka.
Nice video Odd, and since you like challenges i got one for ya. Play the Panzer 4 J, it feels crappy at first but if you take it on it's pace you can do good games on it.

Hint for others... I was moving not camping at first rock/hill near our spawn as most germans do.
I'm a british main and just by observing germany players I have noticed that alot of the time their motto seems to be "apes together, strong"

Try using british tanks close range... good luck against german front plates when you need to quick shot them bud
But yea SOME of their tanks are better for sniping like the panzerjaeger
@@RyRy-lb1wx I mean really? You can knock out the King Tiger easily in close range. Same goes for Panthers. Apart from these two, there are TDs and Bulldog that they mostly play. Most of the time German players just sit in the fucking base trying to snipe people. That's why they lose. They got mostly better scopes most of the time, their guns are great so they just lose trying to get to the battlefield anyway.
