often times, election is not about voting for the best candidate; it is rather about voting against the worst candidate.

A very reasoned discussion that has changed my mind as a center-left moderate, and is very timely. While I find myself torn between Israel and innocent Gazans (which I distinguish from Hamas), Sanders convinced me that despite not doing as much in even-handed support for innocent Gazans and Palestinians as I would want to see, that Biden must be reelected nonetheless. As he says, "Short-term, Trump has gotta be defeated. Long-term, a strong grassroots movement which moves this country in a progressive direction."

Way to make it seem like you're not a total leftist.

@@craig4053, I have never been a total leftist, always a center-left moderate for as long as I can remember. There is more to the political spectrum than simply left or right. I even subscribe to the Horseshoe or Donut Theory in Political Science which suggests that the far left and far right may in fact be closer to each other than they are to political centrists like me.
It all comes from studying parliamentary democracies that typically seat far more than just two political parties - typically 8 to 14. I find those far more representative of their nations' diverse electorates than America's two-party system is.

Is there a program where someone like me travels around the country to meet ppl who also want a revolution of sorts? One that doesn't collapse?

I don't require much but an identity and agency are things I require. Privacy and seeing things that interest me.

I am against Medicare for all. I am for the free market place for Insurance and Obama care. This has worked for Americans because it is based on personal income. Medicare is for the Seniors and it is expensive. This move to privatize Medicare will hurt the Seniors and drive the cost even higher for them when their income is lower and their need for health care is increased.

How many poor people can actually meet the $12,000 yearly deductible? Exactly. They can't and don't. So they are worse off now than before.

For me. Forcing ppl to vote or only be exposed to one side is the opposite of what I stand for and love JFK Jr forum for hearing and showing that

interesting listening to the senator. i was disappointed. he sounded like a left wing politician with emphasis on politician. i.e., he didn't answer a number of questions which he didn't want to. i have supported him and i was wrongfully assuming he was always transparent.
