Contructive criticism: Nowadays, it is essential to provide your sources in the description section. For example: you should definitely provide a link to the R.J. Reynolds internal memo you mentionned. It is fascinating information, but I need to know that it is real information. Please consider this guys! ❤️
@@BoydsofParadise That is not the standard though. She used dozens of different sources, which means she did her research. Why would he or a 100 others invest 5 minutes searching, if she can just post her literature review. Like why should we do the same work twice? Seems like a waste of time. L
It's good to have. If the research has been done, the links are already available and can be added. Sometimes some of us like to check a source for more information or to verify something. You might not do it but a lot of people do and it contributes to a higher quality of information. Good comment op!
gets you fat, doesn't mean it's unsafe! BTW everything that is not explicitly toxic is recognized as safe.. you have to prove something is not safe, not the other way around @.@
Such a realization; really makes sense in the simplicity of the explanation. Cheers to the scientists that ran and analyzed the data, not to mention the reporting
Seems to me that freshly dried fruits are irresistible beyond that of salty chips etc.. Dried peaches with no additives gives me a concentrated dose of a complex peachy flavor that is always better than "peach" candy. Do they even have non-salty, non-added-sugar snacks at convenience stores? Roasted unsalted pumpkin seeds are just as complex while having that smooth fattiness from its natural oils in addition to being high in iron. These kinds of food should be available to everyone at a location within a walkable distance. [15 min cities are not a conspiracy to hurt people BTW]
Speaking as someone officially addicted to Cheese-its and Pringles, it's very very hard to find a snack without sugar thats also not apparently addictive. Cucumbers are all I've got.
They do hire the same psychologists and scientists that would have worked for them. Although there aren't many social media platforms which I suppose would include TH-cam. Even though for this definition it's probably more useful to call them attention platforms where the primary way that they make money is through ads and therefore the most amount of time you are on the site means they make more money.

It's as real as the moon landing! 🤔
it's as easy as searching using the same device you've made this request on.

Whelp, I just got a lot less faith in the generally recognized as safe categorization

The food pyramid is rigged and engineered to promote / suggest food for us to buy and eat lol

Kudos to OP, 👏🏻 😁 exactly same 👍🏻
I was thinking about this today! Convenience stores should have smaller sections or shelves for healthier snacks and berries and such
Really great video. Keep it up

Great presentation! Keep at it! 🙏
Surprise surprise... It makes you wonder what they're up to now. Big tobacco probably owns social media companies too.

Kraft. They own kraft now as well
I love how Americans like to open their 'mistakes box' to the world, I wish my country would be able to do the same.
Where are you from? I’ve never heard ‘mistakes box’ even used as an idiom haha

@@caberful thats interesting. I figured Spain was past that being relatively far removed from king/queen & franco in power. Thank you for the insight

Good to know where we really are so we can decide where we need to go. Your content makes for great orientation in that regard.
This episode has a fantastic thumbnail😅 really draws you in and makes you crave oreo’s at the same time lol
Awesome video!! Keep these coming!
This is so depressing....
I would want to know just how much activation hyper palatable gives compared to say to other substances and food.
*'Research on rats has found that sugar is more addictive than opioid drugs such as cocaine'*
Substances don’t create addiction. Addicts become addicted to substances.
Isn’t nicotine known as an appetite suppressant so a decline of smoking would naturally also lead people to eat more
Scary stuff. Also the packaging is wasteful
Love this channel
"only children like flavor so if you flavor something you are marketing it to children"
I LOVE Mountian Dew!!
Look up the Oxfam chart of the 10 companies that own all the food brands and avoid all those brands
"hyperpalatable" "Beyond what any 1 key ingredient can do naturally". aka they found a recipe for food that tastes good.... great journalism
It seems mutually exclusive to me as Nicotine makes me eat less lol
I'll quit eating these right after this last bag... 🐷
They argue it?? Lol its just facts look at the amount of sodium and weird ingredients in all of our food that is nit needed lol
Wait wtf?!
✋✋ Philippines
i support big tobacco
This made me quite mad... I eat a lot of these.
you are very pretty ^.^
