      Sparkling water has been a godsend for me with cutting back on soda.
      A lot of people think it tastes bitter or "like drinking TV static" and I was once a part of that crowd, but it's because of our taste buds being used to the strong flavors of soda and craving sugar.
      It didn't take very long of making myself drink it before I started to acquire a taste for it and now regular soda tastes way too strong and syrupy to me. Some brands are better than others too, Waterloo is by far my favorite.
      I even got my sister on sparkling water the same way I did and she drank A LOT of soda prior.
      I think almost anyone can aquire a taste for healthy alternatives like these if you have will power and give yourself enough time!

    I'm from Europe and we are shocked about the stuff the US people eat, and how uneducated they are when it comes to food. The prime example is Bread, why does the US Bread contain sugar? The same accounts for ready meals, or semi ready meals like pre made sauces. We don't need experts in Europe to tell us how bad sugar is, everyone knows it and we grow up with it and learn to check packages for sugar content and how to calculate it.

      I used to live there, i thought everything in the US is better than home, until i spent 10 years living and working there, the US is a prime example of extreme capitalism where these kind of companies allowed to become to big essentially its own entity, they have so much power to even skew science studies like mentioned in this video. For example, to find a local family owned bakery that serves a plain simple bread is near impossible in some cities it’s wild an sad at the same time, Americans are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life, and knowing that their government basically treating them like a commodity to keep the capitalist economy running is heartbreaking.
      It’s chain reaction in their industry which will throw you from one evil corp to another even healthcare.

      this is the type of content my whole 10th grade health class would have walked out over. If teachers just share videos from some one else. Do we need teachers who know their subject, or should we just get teachers to play movies and videos all day? even if its relevant, I personally want teachers to stop playing videos.
      In 8th grade we watched civil war movies for history. I was sick the whole month and came back the last day. We watched Glory,maybe the 10th video in the subject in a month. great movie but when I started asking questions, not a single person who had been there the whole month was able to tell me anything about the civil war, the movies they watched, or anything else from the previous month
      Videos are great way to temporarily have their attention, but not really. Unless you have the perfect students. I have autism and ADHD, so that wasn't me. And yet...I knew more being gone a whole month than any one who had staid and watched 10 plus movies and documentaries.
      Instead of watch the video, run a lesson on it. for instance, to show how vitamin pills work, you can fill a water bottle up with sand. Fill it with water, and cut a hole. most water goes right out while the sand holds a tiny amount. That is basically what your body does with vitamins.
      Don' teach them to continue to be space cases, develop their attention span, don't be the teacher we already had for the last 20 years...its a recipe for failure.

I've known for decades, but it still sickens me. Every system is corrupted. To some degree. But science, it's such a violation of the principles and very core nature of the methods constituting what science *is* and the crap they are doing isn't science. It's crime. And they called it science and dressed it up as science and robbed the trust and empowerment scientific endeavors with integrity could have provided for the common weal. Wish it weren't so. is kinda rare now days to find products with real sugar everything is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup.... "HFCS is cheaper and sweeter than sugar, and is absorbed into the body more quickly. The FDA has approved HFCS as a safe ingredient in foods and beverages, in part because of its similarity to sucrose. However, eating too much HFCS can lead to obesity, Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and insulin resistance. Some studies suggest that fructose is more damaging to health than glucose because the digestive tract doesn't absorb it as well as other sugars."

I pretty much have had a soda every single day of my life since I was a kid.....& Mind you I was a VERY athletic kid growing up I ran track placed 1st in all my meets & I was never bigger than 125 through my whole life until about 5 years ago .....Now that I'm in my 30s struggling with my health & now my weight went all the way up in the 200lbs soooooooo many health problems now soooooo many..... Now I have to drink a soda before I go to work cause if I don't by the time I'm halfway through my shift I start getting really nauseous & anxious, irritable & ESPECIALLY the HEADACHES mann they get SOOOOO bad they turn into migraines..... Even when I get home finally drink some soda it slowly starts to go away & it's actually pathetic really cause as much as I would love to stop or cut back on sodas there's always that voice & me that tells me "no you don't you'll get sick" & nobody should have to feel like that because of SODA & trust me I've tried alternative drinks nothing helps it hard to be a dark soda either Pepsi or coke that's it I don't really care for any other soda I don't even like light sodas ..🤷🏻‍♀️ people try telling me "oh you need caffeine drink some coffee or something"🤦🏻‍♀️ it's 1000000% NOT the same nothing else with help until I finally drink a soda 😔
    It's all confusing & irritating & I can't stand it anymore I don't want to be like this at all & I have definitely been working on it little by little I don't want to live a short life because I have become addicted to sodas ..... I definitely don't want to feel that way anymore whatsoever

      Besides abstaining from soda, you have to give your body some good things to fuel it, it'll help while you adjust. It'll be hard and *hard* and then it'll get a little bit easier and better, and then better, and easier.
      Noom (I do not work for them) has a solid program that can educate and encourage you and you can get it discounted. See if the free trial option is there, and when you go to cancel after a few days, they will offer options. I wasn't even trying to stay on and they kept making cheaper offers until I stayed cuz it was so cheap. A lot was review for me, but in 2021 I'd gained weight and needed routine to get back on track. But learned a few new things too. You'll need to get processed foods out of your daily habits too, but baby steps. Success with small changes, then make the next change. However, some changes combined will make success easier. If you give your body some nutrient dense and high fiber low sugar foods to work with, it'll handle the absence of the soda better.

    I stopped drinking soda, and thus changed my entire life, and lost over 80lbs. Lifestyle being the step #1. I however support artificial sweeteners and now use “zero sugar” soda as an alternative for a sweet treat. Something people also should be aware of is the amount of carbs loaded into cheap, readily available processed frozen garbage

      I’ve drunk soda for almost 30 years all the time and I’m not overweight and have all my teeth, maybe it doesn’t stem from food and soda but lazy habits and letting yourself get overweight in the first place, you think you can eat anything and not workout and still be healthy?

    Quitting sugar is super easy.
    Step #1: replace all sugar containing foods with "artificial-sweetners" alternatives.
    Step #2: replace "artificial-sweetners" alternatives with healthy options.
    Its easy because artificial sweetners are not addicting. All people in my family quit sugar easily using steps above.

    I dont view any food as "bad". Any food is ok in moderation. Its just that in today's time most peoples entire diet consist of these foods. If you ate real whole foods a majority of the time but had some mcdonalds or a soda every now and then it would make no changes to your health. Its when ppl drink soda and eat mcdonalds day in day out that makes it horrible.

      All our ancestors drank themselves rancid even though we know alcohol is literally poison. People have been getting for as long as people have had agriculture. Let’s be honest here people have been bad at personal responsibility since the day they evolved to walk upright. For those who are interested in solving problems, “what about personal responsibility” is a useless question that doesn’t contribute to a solution. Solving a problem requires a pragmatic view of how people actually act, not how you think they should act.

      if you but watch the documentary you would see that they have been paying scientists for 70 years to tell your parents the food is safe and not only safe but better than all the rest. So your parents fed you famine food (cereal), pop tarts, and hamburger helper thinking that was better than water and cooked meat. Then they got diabetes later in life and died. They got diabetes later in life bc their parents weren't brain washed into eating dumb, so they fed them real food until they moved out of the house. You on the other hand got diabetes before you turned 35 and died before you were old enough to tell congress we got to make a change for our kids. Then the cycle repeated itself and hundreds of millions of people died too young. Now we are here. Will you keep scrolling and let it continue? Or will you stand up and shout at the top of your lungs "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!"

    • @beefyogurt
      @beefyogurt 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @geizigeratze My comment might seem puzzling, so let me clarify.
      "Fiat foods" refers to our current food system influenced by profit-driven motives that aren't good for the long term health of our citizens.
      Bitcoin changes our focus to low time preference, incentivizing healthier living and longer living.
      It's worth noting that profit-driven motives aren't inherently a problem of capitalism; true capitalism promotes free trade and follows natural law. However, issues arise with crony capitalism, where government intervention distorts markets.
      By fixing our monetary system, we can address these distortions and positively impact our food choices and the world. Hope this clears things up!

    The problem is not sugar. Sugar does not create obesity. Eating too much meat. High fat meat, whole eggs, milk, junk food and process food is the problem. 80 year ago people eat less meat, no junk food, walked more,less process food, more vegetables. That's the problem that is why people become diabetic. Fruit have sugar and is good for the body but meat and to be precise excess meat is bad for the body. Gout, heart disease, obesity ect ect is the result not sugar.

    • @JM-rr3qw
      @JM-rr3qw 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly. Sugar is the best for your health. You must eat it almost exclusively to stay healthy. It contains all the essential nutrients and it's how our hunter gatherer ancestors ate and what we evolved for. When my great grandfather monkey scoured the trees for food he didn't eat high fat nuts and garbage like that. He ordered door dash with extra cans of pop. I was going to continue educating you guys but then I died at age 16 of natural causes
