Rain races are the most beautiful
I was at the race it was the most exciting event I have ever been to. Still get chills from hearing the roar of the engines. Thanks imsa for such a great event. I was glad the weather didnt get worse.
Luis Lanzas I was at the Mid Ohio race last year and the Caddilacs Vettes and Mercedes all sound mean with the v8 motor
Hearing them on a recording is one thing but actually hearing them in person is something else. The porsche RSR's flat six sound is spine tingling!
From an emgineering point of view the Caddillac DPi is so stupid compared to the Mazda or the LMP1s. But the sound of a Prototype with a big V8 is glorious

Stunning. Another exceptional IMSA race. NBC has been doing a good job broadcasting but no one can beat Radio Le Mans team, best in the world. Thanks for the replay IMSA I appreciate being able to stream for free, unlike some other american open wheel series on NBC.
Yes I agree on the Radio Le Mans team. I do strongly hope that they continue many future seasons this way, uploading the races with John Hindaugh and Jeremy Shaw's commentary, along with their crew and pit team. NBC is definitely doing a better job than when they partnered with Fox Sports, but these Radio Le Mans guys are the best!
Live that you show these races. The network coverage in my area pales in comparison to these gentleman and ladies!!
Awesome! It was a good race. Not a classic but still good. Along with the 1000mile WEC race it was a great weekend for sportscar endurance racing.

want to say, great live thx imsa, top work as usual, but there is a small problem sometimes, even a lot of times, with the onboards views on live, onboards images are perfect, da problems are the engines sounds sync with these images, not da good engines sounds, da previous or da future image car engines sounds, sry for my bad english ^^ if u can fix it for da next live would be perfect so cool thx again imsa ;)

You're welcome World! I reached out to IMSA on Twitter just last night letting them know the upload labeled "full race" was only 1hr and 18mins of qualifying! And 14hrs later its posted.
6:08:05 I think the driver lost control of the car WAAAAY before he hit the wall. As you can see, if closely examined, he was locked up even before the curve.
Anyone whos more versed.. what are the rules to the 12 hour endurace race and whats determined whats rules to win

Something I love about Hindy is that when someone makes a mistake, he highlights how well they did in dealing with it. At the start of the race, the timekeeping got messed up, but all Hindy said was that they did a cracking job getting that reset. I think that's an awesome attitude :)
(Edit) I'm watching this race slowly over many days, and at 4 h into it, I have to say I'm becoming a huge Jan Magnussen fan. I think I'd just pull over if he was behind me. Mags + Corvette = wow! BTW, is this the new mid-engine Corvette they were talking about last year? (I havren't been able to tell from the work in the pits so far.) If so, it's still very long in front.
Nope still the old C7.R last I heard they were speculating for 2020 for the mid engine vette.
@@ryang1591 Ah, thanks Ryan. I have mixed feelings. I'm dying to see the new one, but I absolutely love this one. I hope the C7.R has an enduring career in GT3 and all its variants. And if any Porsche fans want to hear what a beautiful engine note sounds like, right here baby! The Vette makes the Porsche flat 6 sound like a Vespa :P
During the pit stops, the camera man down there should have around a 5 foot limit to how close they can get to the car and crew members working on it. It seems like they get too close and get in the way of the crew, and I can imagine it gets annoying to them having the camera in their way when trying to work as quickly as possible. They shouldn't be allowed to get that close. Just have the camera man stand farther back, and use a zoom lens to get a closer look.

@@rahkinrah1963 I don't know about this event in specific, but I know that the rubber can be reused, so they could take the used tires back to the factory and rework the remaining rubber

thank you for not selling out your fans like @IndyCar did by charging $40 for a yearly subscription. That's why ROLEX and SEBRING was packed. I physically attended both races and do every year.. and spent over $1000 each weekend. I got your back IMSA!
Also fair ticket prices. IndyCar was 100 per day plus 100 per day pit pass. A 3 day fan wouldve paid 300 dollars for their own tickets. 150 for a 3 day seat and 150 for 3 day paddock pass. Nobody went!

@@mitchmitch1176 ah you like the seats. Well everything is free Friday except for the ticket in so you got taken there. I was in the paddocks & front stretch & turn 1 seats Friday. Saturday & Sunday just general admission. Paddocks i believe were $25 or 35 but i know where to catch them outside the paddocks.

Sebring in the wet has to be awful to drive on, place hasn't got much grip at the best of times.

When will you start uploading freaking highlights? Or do you expect a working class citizen to watch 12hours? Do you even realize how many days in a row would i supposed be watching same race?
And the best thing is you could make freaking highlights as long as f1 race, but keep on rocking with 90k subscribers who never watch your videos
There version of highlights are the videos titled "Sights and Sounds". They just haven't uploaded one for sebring yet. Check out this channel and there highlight videos of every race. There usually upload them a day after the race. th-cam.com/video/dwOBJmHBwv8/w-d-xo.html. I like the setup and how they edit the videos.
I'm a working class citizen, and I watch the whole race. I watch it in 1 to 2 hour portions per day. Much better then game of thrones and all the other crap people watch these days.
