Welcome to another video in my “New Revert Series” that I have going here on TH-cam! In this series I discuss the basics of Islam with topics from prayer, to making wudhu, to my own revert journey! It was the power of one book of sahaba stories that changed my life and brought me closer to allah! I am 14 years old and my dad bought me a random story book about sahabas which transformed me. It changed me so much that i am now going to start memorising the quraan by heart with it's meanings. Alhamdulillah, indeed, allah guides whom he wishes. May allah forgive us and have mercy upon us...AMEEN

Also, I would recommend you to read Riyadh Us Saliheen (Gardens of the righteous). It's also published by Darus Salam. One of the important thing about this book is that it touches almost all the topics with Quranic and Hadith references. You would love to read it, Insha Allah.
yes its a great book and the forty nawawi ahaddeeth is another great book scholars said that the 40 hadith in that book is the center of islam teachings so if someone is a beginner in learning prophet's hadith scholars recommend that book

Jazakom Allahu sister I bought all of these books on Amazon but will be getting the life of the prophets (peace be upon them). I am almost done with Reclaim Your Heart ❤️ and this book has impacted my life so much and changed me! Please refer more books 📚 I love reading as well.

I know I’m not alone and I have God, but it would be helpful and take some strain off the journey of searching. This is coming from me, a kinda former Christian to a being curious in Islam. Jazak'Allah Khair for these recommendations. I'm an avid reader and bookworm myself, however for the last few years my focus shifted to immersing myself in more secular reads, such as Russian literature, Dickens, and other such classics. That is something I'm consciously trying to change now as I feel like being a Muslim, we should be more in a habit of reading beneficial Islamic texts and keep the secular reading as secondary. May Allah allow us all beneficial knowledge. Ameen.

Any book by ibn Al-qayim is wonderful. Also I recently read the book of ibn-Tayimyiah called "Slavery" العبودية which is amazing but unfortunately not translated yet as far as I know. Reclaim Your Heart was a light and inspiring read as well.
(quick note : This is not based on evidence or a fatwa but it's a personal opinion : the way to describe any Holy thing in Islam should be cautious as well as respectful, and since the Qur'an was revealed and compiled in the order it is by Allah's command, describing it as 'jumbled up' is a little risky and might connotes badly to some people.)

I'm so glad to see that the Ummah is return to our roots of knowledge.
Zaytuna College formed in 2009 and is evolving. Cambridge Muslim College too!
Shaykh Hamza Yusuf has a very popular Book Club on his Zaytuna College website.
This is what we should be doing. Forming book clubs, taking classes, Halaqas etc.

With Kitab at-Tawhid I recommend you also get the explanation of Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen called al-Qawl al-Mufeed Sharh Kitab at-Tawhid.

Why do you think Allah allowed Muslim men in Quran 4:24 to r a p e married women captured in battle? This is clearly explained in the tafsirs, sahih hadiths and Sharia.

Check out "Twenty Three Years: A Study of the Prophetic Career of Mohammad" by Ali Dashti, an excellent read! It quotes many early Islamic sources.
