He had a stellar attitude to being turned down. She is not obligated at all to feel attracted or give him another chance, but I've learned to give a bit more of a chance this year... and I am so glad I did. I think she may have been surprised if she had gone on a second date with lowered expectations but that's up to her. They both seemed to be pleasant people, but I think he has something really special and he will find another legend to have a good craic with :)

he tried too hard to be funny, and he looked insecure, I think that might be the reason why she turned him down, everything in moderation, don't over do it, or else you will end up in the friends zone.
Nah, I bet it's much more basic than that. She turned him down because he's not tall, and not very masculine. She made the decision seconds after meeting, doesn't matter what he said or did after. Not that she's the type to admit this.
Maybe you need to learn to accept that people are different. Hes not insecure, hes not needy, hes not trying too hard- shes not looking for love or a relationship- shes looking for lust. If she was looking for something worthwhile, she would definitely find it with him.
