The reason the tuft doesnt deploy sometimes is because your stamina ran out. realized this the other day when i was playing, just make sure you always have stamina when you jump off high places :) ( 11 Things You DIDN'T Know)

Go to sleep, wake up, have 2 drops of water, 2 cooked meats, take some mushrooms and youre set for the day
I tried doing this before shroom and doom and it would spoil on the spit and now it doesnt im excited its back now!
For the axe/block strat it is useful when you use it to cancel the third hit so you can start swinging faster instead of waiting for the animation to finish
But the third hit does the most damage
@@cad5225 no i meant canceling the recovery animation when you have swung the third hit so you can immediately start the combo again, ex. Hit 1, 2, 3, then block, 1, 2, 3, block, rinse and repeat. Downside to this though is that it takes a lot of stamina.
They should add stews to the game, which never goes bad (like real stew) so long as you keep it heated and add water. Would be a great way to add meals in a better way, you could have different stews depending on ingredients added, and an overall original way to treat food in games
Might be too similar to jerky
An easier solution would be a refrigerator
Maybe you could add different ingredients for effects and it has multiple uses so you and your friends can pass by and slurp it up

@@bluebeliever1055 aren’t normal meals too similar to roasts then? Roasts and jerky are like tier 1 food, and Meals are like tier 2
Blocking right after attacking probably isn't useful anymore, since damage is now based on which hit of the weapon's combo you're in.
Yeah it's still good after the 3rd hit of the combo though
For the flowers, you could’ve mentioned that it is better to climb the flowers and start by to top ones to get more petals.
Nice vid! I've been using the roast trick since then nerfed the jerky. I have like 10 roasting spits lined up and filled with aphid roasts, (Burg quest's and occasional hunting spree maybe once every 20 in game days keeps it stocked) every morning I eat one and pack one for the road and that last's all day. I didn't know about the flower petals though, that'll be handy when making more trampoline elevators/zip lines 🙃

If your inventory is full it will not deploy because there is no where for your weapon to go.
Again, awesome video. But I'm sure the roasting spit used to spoil the food. I seem to remember getting pi$$ed off every time I'd come back to a spit, after a fe2 ingame days, and the food would be spoiled. I hope the none spoiling is due to the Hot and Hazey update.
Yes, it used to spoil just at a slower rate than in your inventory. I imagine this is a bug and will get fixed.
Ants will go for any food you leave lying around.
So if you leave food on the spit, worker ants will try to get to it, so don't leave it in the open.
What was funny was that I knew most of the things you said but I didn't know some details you shared. For example I did't know that during sleep food was degrading by 25% (never cared to check). Also didn't know that sleeping on a bed gives bonuses. I always sleep at the simple sleep-in even though I am like 200 days into game. Never built a single bed so far!! Swing block was a nice trick. Didn't know that. Neither that spears did 3* dmg when thrown. Finally the flower harvesting was interesting. But I never needed more that those that I could find laying under the roses.
1. I noticed that although the food does not spoil, sometimes it disappears after a day or two. I am assuming some bugs like ants for example steal it (or it might be a *bug* bug lol).
It should be the ants. They'll eat it right off the roasting pit. I've seen it happen.
They will also steal it out of your storage boxes.
So it's best to keep it in your base.
Ants steal your food, I had to put my fire up higher after noticing they can eat through walls.
@@davidantinori4778 They can also steal your food from containers through a wall, if the container is within their reach. Best to put containers a step away from the wall or on a raised shelf.
I built my base on a lilypad with no bridge and now way for ants to get there and it still disappeared, I think it’s been patched to spoil now
@@alekonrad9103 yeah I think back then it was actually ants, now they balanced it and make it just spoil.
so the roastin spit has actually changed it used to go bad on the spit so im not sure if they gonna change it back or not but it used to rot

almost all of these things you probably didn't know videos from people are all things I knew, but I genuinely learned stuff in this one, so thanks! I can't believe I never thought after several hundred hours to cancel animations with a block
You can hang all meat on the jerky rack, and stack it. My friend and i used to think we could only make lether with the rack but yeah you can actually make stackable food items which is nice for inventory space
Barley fills food though. You’d have to make a ton.
The food on a roasting spit tip doesn’t work in woah mode, they still degrade but at a slightly slower rate
so it's not a glitch but an intended feature
You can stack worker comp on top of itself. You make a boosted one and a normal one and it will stack.
HEY, you can use a bow and arrow to shoot out of reach flower pedals, and they fall the same. So even the tall flowers you cant climb can be farmed.
i always use the bow and arrow to shoot the water drops from the grass
I need to test with the throwing, but i think throwing daggers does bonus too? Because i threw a knife and it stuck into the wall

You can pretty much throw anything I threw grass at ants and it did damage 🤣

The cooking station IS a patch.
Food left on it for to long used to spoil. They changed that.

Hey, Milton. So, I'm relatively new to the game, and I often find myself just straying from it because I don't know what to do next. I watch your videos, and I just can't connect the dots on how you get from the beginning in that tunnel with all the roots and stuff to basically colonizing the entire yard with massive castles and fortifications. Having said this, here is my request. I would like you to make a series where you play the game the way you usually do, occasionally throwing in a piece of advice or two, documenting every detail about how you get from the start of the game to the endgame. I understand if you decline this, maybe you're just not interested in doing it, maybe you think it won't draw as many views, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it. Anyway, I'm just gonna leave this here. Thanks.
I think a lot of us take for granted how to progress and this is a good idea that I think many new players would appreciate so I will definitely figure out how to work it into my video schedule in the next few weeks.

You should be able to stack the same smoothie. Though you will need to use Gum as the base for the second smoothie.
It doesn't work anymore for the fire pit food 😫

Only the 3 flower pedals you can keep warming the others on plant dont come back and that food on fire sud stay as it is or if they chance that up the jercy rack to 6 to have same result of 3 food on fire plus it cant decay
For the gliders, it’s has changed. Depending on your falling speed, you will need to deploy it sooner, and depending on how high you jump from, the game can lag, making this trick……….quite deadly. (I say this cause I made a big base on top of the oak three in survival and jumping off of it is……fps drop garantie)
Food will spoil on the spit roaster, it takes about 2 days though.
When killing bees shoot them in eyes with a crow crossbow lvl 3 to instantly kill them
I feel like the roasting spit thing just makes sense, as long as it’s lit of course-
I have five spits now at every base. The other thing you might not know is is sticky??? Provide regeneration like a bandage maybe longer. Beefy??? Heal twice as much.

Edit: also be careful on the first tip, saving your rottening time with the campfire will also give you a risk of an ant going up to it and stealing your food, you can kill it to get it back but keep an eye on your food while using this trick.

I actually set a grill up with food in different areas when I noticed food not spoiling
if your a certain height above the ground or any surface you can walk on (about max jump height) your glider wont deploy, that's why it wont work sometimes.
Smoothie stacking I didn't know. And blocking and swinging to make hitting rocks and stuff faster.
Wait wasn’t punching the hosta plant you could do that since the beginning of the game
I have always been partial to the 3 pit triangle setup lol.
Games like these need to take a bit of inspiration from vintage story. Genuinely it has the best cooking I've ever seen, and terms of storage it's even better.
I think they’ve updated the roasting spit - food coming off now has lost half its freshness once it gets pulled off. Thankfully it doesn’t rot sitting there.
Are you playing on whoa? It still degrades on that mode but much much slower, on normal and easy it doesn't degrade at all
another thing cpuld be taht you could attach weed stems and grass planks to ziplines
And I only didn’t know one thing and that stacking the effect of smoothies

Block canceling was nerfed, attack on combo now goes up per chain
im def gonna use the block swing exploit and the smoothie stack exploit on the broodmother🤫🤫
About that glider it will not deploy because you have no energy

@@nroc6206 If your inventory is full and both hand are full you can't put away 2 things to take out the glider and you go splat.

When i leave meat on the roasting spit too long it DOES spoil
For how long? I've left meat on roasting spits for weeks in game and it has never spoiled.
Should only start the spoil timer if you open the roasting spit UI.
The food used to spoil now I don't think it does although I am definitely going to have to check if opening the actually UI will affect it

Meals are absolutely better then roasts. I use miteloaf and funguspacho. Really easy mats to stack and here why meals are great. If you use milk molars on food burn rate and u wear clover armor that further slows hunger burn rate.(combat is easy enough to keep it on almost always) then you eat a meal you pretty much dont need to eat for almost 24 hours. Meals, milk molars and clover armor your food will ALWAYS be full
I used Milk Molars on Mutations first then Stamina. I don't find hunger or thirst to really be a problem which is why I dont use meals. One or two roasts is good enough for an entire day and is much easier to manage since they don't spoil on the spit while meals do spoil if left in the oven.
@@MediocreMilton I also used on mutations first then 4 points into hunger. A few in stamina. I always have buff lungs and juicy on. With the clover armor set bonus giving moist. That build buffs stamina pretty good but also gives moist x2 and fuller x3 with 3 mutations left to use. Not kidding I barely ever need to drink or eat (especially if I eat meals)
What does the comfy hunger and comfy thirsty do?
It makes your hunger and thirst drain slower. It's the benefit of sleeping in the bed instead of the lean-to.
For faster ladder climbing, just jump grab jump grab jump grab etc
Fyi grassmaster and chopper mutations with tier 2 axe will chop grass in one hit if you charge your attack 💪
Fyi you can farm the flowers with bows as well
just like berries and water drops on grass
1 tip with fire - I noted by my self and use it.
The glider tip I’m new to grounded but I been doing the same exact thing and once it was bugged and I almost died I was a one shot from an ant with ladybug armor😅

make sure you have stamina or you can't deploy, plus it has changed. You can't wait till the last moment anymore, but you can open later I open about a grass stem above the ground and it's fine.
Sadly, I didn't learn anything but for roasting spit, this is probably something that is going to be fixed in the future because I remember last year it was not possible and for the ladder tip I find jumping and re-grabbing faster.
Also, for cutting down grass or a stem using a dagger is faster if you're just going to swing (be sure to bring mats to repair it) but with the axe and grass master at a certain level you can cut it down in one swing if you hold it, saving you durability + animation cancelling with block making it go quite fast.
Hopefully in the future they will have a new garden to explore like neighbors garden and new missions etc that will be awesome new bugs environments rains 🌧 etc idk whatever
One thing you didn't know...if you hold back your insect axe before swinging you hit with more damage then just taping your swing button try in weed stem that brakes in 3 swings it will break in 2

Another thing some players may not know, is that you can drop weed stems and grass planks on a zipline, and it'll hang on a piece of string and slide to the other slide just like the player.

That was in one of my other videos but you are right a lot of people still don't know about that trick.
Idk if people know this, but you can get berry leather with one berry piece by putting it on a jerky rack. Instead of using 3 for 1 piece of leather.

Check the key bindings in the options menu I changed mine it's under glide.

Maybe they can make it so you can put cooked meat on the jerky rack to turn it into spoiled meat faster. I know there a few things that required spoiled meat, like the gardens for example. Just a thought.
Outside of that this you die not show but why are repair tools so high to fix 5 times the qaurdside to fix when building it cost 1 and some rope and strigs stigs i beleave just weird

Flower peddles was news to me I've been playing since it was available restarting world's n it never dawned on my to climb the flowers for peddles I just got em off the ground

#1 it always disappears after a while for me. Other than that, i knew the rest, some at the jump others over time.

Hey everyone i have a better tip for all of ya'll so I've been staying literally up for 48 h than I sleep for a day then play for 2 days because I was creating a tree castle really high up the tree with ziplines that cover the map and I have to go down and up with the red ant armor so you can only pick up 10 at a time but guess what save your time craft one of those grass pellets fill it up and also pick up your 10 on your shoulder on your way up the tree relocate it so you'll be able to move like 50 grass plank with you at once ya'll welcome
Too obvious, don't cheat tho. From what i know, when you don't have an items on your bag. There is no tick on your items. But it's all tick. But nice explanation :)

Thats how I do my food, its better than Jerky. I build like 3 spits and keep them full.
How tf your stamina isn't going down while using stuff and running?
creative mode nothing attacks and you can build anything you want, don't take damage or stamina loss it's god mode basically. it helps for planning out builds and testing stuff cause everything is unlocked for you. Also good for making tutorial videos cause it cuts down on a ton of set up like resource gathering.

The hammer swing is no longer useful because of combos.

no fucking way u can farm flower petals.... i needed a lot to make a bounce web elevator and had to wait multiple days to just run around and grab the flower petals that fall down 😭😭😭😭
when you farm them make sure to start from the top and then go down you can harvest every flower that way by jumpin on the lowers ones to get to the higher ones
