@shirin9452 I believe he was saying he's had vicodin before and it makes you feel extremely good when you take it. there's a reason so many people get addicted so easily. even if you're not in pain it gets you high

It’s so jarring seeing hugh Laurie looking exactly like house and wearing houses clothes but with his accent
I've watched loads of stuff with Hugh in before House was even an idea. Then watched House. Despite this, when Hugh was on (probably a repeat of) QI after, it was still weird hearing him talk in his normal accent.
I grew up watching him and Stephen Fry comedy shows so is the opposite for me hearing hugh with an American accent is quite strange😂
I love how Hugh confidently says that they don't have 100 episodes of anything in UK. Meanwhile Dr Who (one of the most iconic British shows ever) recently celebrated it's 60th anniversary and it's still coming out with latest episode number being 883.
And of course there's the soaps: Eastenders is over 6,800 episodes, Emmerdale is over 10,000, and Coronation Street is over 11,000.
Most of those eps are only 20 minute ones though. So compared to modern TV it's still only like 200 episodes which is about the same ballpark as 24 which started in 2000 and not the 60s.

Like, of course Britain has stuff that reaches 100 episodes, like the Hundred Year War, that got up to 116 years of combat.

It’s actually quite common for British actors to take on a more gravelly tone to hide their accent. Bob Hoskins did the same thing when he played Eddie Valiant and Mario.

“Unhinged” made me expect much more. Apart from Hugh’s joke about taking pain killers the other guy saying he doesn’t like acting and has no ambition as an actor is the closest to unhinged that it got.
