For me the live version is much superior to the studio, since in the main riff of crazy train randy performs different fills after the 1st and 2nd bars of the riff, and also varies a lot in the chorus riff (also due to its complexity as the second and third lick of the chorus) and the most important thing is the riff of the intro and outro using a super bend, killswitch, harmonics and delay, in the "after hours" in the outro I use a bend with a trill, and it sounds very cool
Great, this makes me smile! Lovely Randy style tone and feeling and also Ozzy sounds good for a change! Seen Ozzy now 10 times or so perform live with different guitarists, (never with Randy i'm to young:) But Ozzy's performances and guitarists from year 2000+ just makes me want to cry, and not in a good way. Better to watch these killer recordings on youtube then Ozzy and some knockoff guitar players live! For live shows Ozzy should hire a standin for himself (vocals) and a great Randy style player like you. Ozzy is only needed to walk around dazed and confused, clap his hands and say we love you all!. Let the music be done by musicians! 😆 I know his guitarists want to add some of there own style into the classic songs, and not just copy Randy the great, but hey: Then the play is always a disappointment imho!
Its a Helix patch I modified ..what gives it the thicker tone is the chorus ..I was trying to mimic his Diary live sound. If you have a Helix and want the patch just reply back here, i'll setup a download link for ya
@@wweking0 Here ya go..added a few extras as well I like. The "shimmer" is for some spacious acoustic playing..added a Rhoads 81 Live and a early 70's Sabbath one too. When I load these up in my Daw I will load two channels both with each patch and pan the volume left & right. Its how I record them too. If I need a Rhoads style double track solo then add a third channel panned in the middle but lower volume. Enjoy. www.mediafire.com/file/r96qia0isc5pkfw/Sabbath+-+Rhoads+Helix.zip/file
Also add, when loading these in a DAW and you want a middle ground tone between both the 81 and 82 patches just load each on its own track and pan them left and right
@@carlsmith9077 I know it's 3 months later but I don't have the software to open the app is there a way to look at what the tone settings are for each pedal being used in the software? Because I have a chorus and wanted to know what the exact settings are for the one being used here
