- Review of the fishman fluence classic pickups (these are the same voicing as Scott LePage signature)
One detail i forgot to note is even in voice 3 when there are coil splits they are still hum canceling when both neck and bridge are selected.

Voice 1 (Vintage P.A.F.): The ideal, elusive P.A.F. neck tone with the dynamics and output level you want.
Voice 2 (Clear, airy chime): A Fluence-exclusive neck tone, with unreal highs, vocal midrange, and tight lows.
Voice 3: Clear, Vintage Single Coil.

I have a pair of these pick ups and I’ve noticed that voice three has a considerable drop in volume. When I listen to playing examples on TH-cam, I do not find that to be the case. Sadly, this voice is almost unusable for me at the moment. Did you leave the stock configuration for voice three? There are two options available, depending on which coil you want to use.
Yeah there definitely should not be a drop in volume:/ its sounds like there could be an issue with the pickup. You might want to contact fishman (or if it came installed on a guitar the manufacturer) and see if they have a way of troubleshooting or getting you a replacement. Is it both pickups that have the volume drop in voice 3?
@@CodyHarmon Yes both pickups in voice 3. I think it might be a pickup issue or wiring problem. I'm working with their support now to try and figure it out.
@@orlandovflores that would be so strange if both pickups had the same issue, I’m gonna guess its most likely wiring. Let me know if you’re able to get it figured out!
@@orlandovfloresdid you ever get it figured out bro? Mine has the same issue. It’s not that different, but definitely significantly quieter. I have to adjust my volume knob slightly if I change from humbucker to single coil or vice versa in the same song.
@@Im_alex_h No. I opened a ticket with Fishman and they wanted me to email them some playing examples. I was told the volume drop should be more like a traditional split coil and shouldn't vary that much. Fishman said they would send me a replacement to try. While I'm at it I might try out the reactive tone control and phase inveter as the current tone control doesn't offer a lot in versatility.
