I just retired from the army. I bought 40 acres in Washington to build a grass airstrip for my plane. The old guy I bought it from had 16 old cars on the property. A few old ford trucks. A 70 mustang. 72 Datsun 240z. Two ford mavericks. A 72 charger. They weee his brothers and he died years ago. He told me if I wanted them all he had titles for all except two of the ford trucks. I got the old Datsun running and they are all in good shape for sitting. No major rust or anything.
@@epjetta no it’s actually about 13 miles away from the hat of mt rainier national park between Elbe and ashford. I am from here I was just fine in the army
So the Nissan build was amazing but this hits me in the feels. As a 50yo Nascar fan, the Petty-ish throwback is epic. I love that you're saving a classic build and incorporating it into a modern form. I grew up in the wrong part of the country. South and west are my passions. From the birth of Nascar in the south to the birth of all other car scenes in the west I wish I would have lived my life in one of those areas. Happy new year girly. Don't stop pushing. 2025 is only gonna be bigger and better.
Hahaha! Go move to the west side if the US, so that way you can flee to Florida or Texas after you realize how trash it is between the government allowing people to shit in the streets all the way to the stoopidly high tax rapes, whoops I mean rates😂
It’s been stated already in these comments but it bears repeating. Thank god it’s just a replica you’re cutting up, and I’m sure it’s going to be awesome. I hope you and all of your crew have a safe and happy New Year! Cheers 🥂 and here’s to an amazing 2025!
thats all the way across the country, so it would have to be on a Le Mullets weekend...it would make an awesome pace car for that and Cleetus loves Sueprbirds
i know sandy is not in this but i hope you and him stay working together for a long time i like watching you two working on stuff together you two click well together in the shop
so excited to see the super bird project get started! its going to be sick on that nascar chassis! Happy new year everybody! 2025 will be a big year for Emelia!
I’m glad this wasn’t a real super bird I was in shock until I realised it was a replica but still the work you put in getting the floors fixed and the rust cut out you were better off fixing it up. Still a great looking car even a replica one is worth a lot of money and looks great on the road.
Really glad you started this build Emelia. Yee Haw! Its totally ironic, another utuber is building a 69 Charger Daytona Racecar as we speak.. Chris Birdsong! You two def need to set something up when ur done. Would be epic! Two old wingcars boogyin! 😎👍
I first want to say that I am so thankful that no one was hit by that knife falling from the car!! I absolutely love the work that you all do and the fun that you have doing all of this. Thank You for taking us all on the ride through with you! Happy New Year E-Crew!! I hope it's your Best One Yet!!
In about 72' or 73' I saw a Superbird running in the strip mall where my Dad worked for Tandy Leather . There was a laundromat , my Dad's store , a Radio Shack and a convienient store . The Superbird REVVED IT'S ENGINE AND LIFTED THE FRONT TIRES ABOUT 5 INCHES OFF THE GROUND !!!! it was so LOUD the windows in his strore RATTLED .... I will NEVER FORGET THAT DAY !!!! I can't tell you my physical reaction because that would be rude and crude....but true !!!! PK
The 1970 Plymouth Superbird is and always has been my dream car. You building a superbird, be it a replica or not, is one of my favorite things. Thank you so much for this.
I worked for a nascar team, that bar in the chassis thing is for holding weight in the frame for weight bias. You take the back tires off and push lead square weights in then the bar goes in so the weights don’t slide around in the frame.
Amazing video! It's truly incredible how you and the team are able to envision something, and make it come to pass! Truly stellar work Emelia, keep up the amazing content! Looking forward to progress on the Superbird NASCAR build!
Wym like Richard pettys "old 43 car"? Which 43 car? 43 was his number, and that number has been on the side of a dodge charger, a plymouth superbird (this exact year and body style but a real superbird, not a replica) a Plymouth belvedere, a Plymouth roadrunner, and unfortunately for one year a Ford Torino Talladega and a Torino Cobra in the 1969 season
Amazing video Emmy you're nailing it! Cheers from Canada and just fyi, I've had lunch with Sterlin Marlin and Kenny Schrader outside of Michigan International Speedway back in the day. I've also been lucky enough to meet King Richard and have a pit pass with him at Pocono back in the day. DW won the first NASCAR race I ever saw, been to Dega, and Bristol, yada yada.... just sayin'. Keep the pedal to the Metal!!! Cheers.
Thank you for your videos, I enjoy watching them and you and the team do great work and have fun doing it . " return to life " love it, keep up the amazing work ❤
I can’t wait to see the rest of this project! My dream car is a ‘68 Roadrunner! It is the year I was born but unfortunately it is the most expensive year. I may never have the opportunity to own one in any condition but my ‘78 F150 4x4 takes me back to my high school days every time I climb in the cab. I am slowly getting it fixed up and I will never let it go even though every time I go anywhere someone asks me if I want to sell it. 😊
The chassis are not symmetrical on stock cars as they are setup per track hence why the roll cage bars are the way they are,aero/traction are all engineered into every bit of the car
thanks for putting this up, watching after getting back from new years celebrations, Happy New Year may this year be a continuation of this video right here. x
Because of the condition of the car and with all the missing parts. This is the perfect build plan and probably the most cost effective option for the "Superbird!"
Emelia, never stop laughing. I Love that you enjoy what you do. And you are so good at it, even in your youth. Happy New year and your success will only be limited to your creative imagination. I have great respect for you.
I’m glad he was able to calm down a bit. He does great work, so I didn’t want him to leave, but he was a danger before. Seems like you guys had a talk, and he seems more professional now.
While you're cutting, chopping and welding, you should check out the custom touches the shop applies that's built the last several Fast movies worth of Chargers! They move the front axles forward to visually fix the odd proportions of the factory Mopar bodies. It'll somewhat complicate the built, but just imagine getting your CG closer to the middle of the chassis for the road coarses planned!!
This is the way to start a Happier New Year. Cannot imagine how cool it will be to see the Super Bird updated to become a true Super Super Bird. The Bird is the word.
great work guys! planning and execution. one thing that bugs me with every frame shortening and extension is it's not all one piece anymore. Could it be easily done, to just buy the same size square tubing, you're using to extend the frame, the length of the extended size?
I love the giant Emelia head peeking over the wall for the whole video 😂. This honestly feels like an OG roadkill episode and it is bringing back so many good memories. Awesome content as usual, thanks Emelia 😊
This (for what it’s worth) is the best and most interesting video I’ve ever seen from you. I’m a viewer in passing but this makes me subscribe. Excited to see where you take this build. I’d love to see a full restoration, make it real clean and pretty….and then RACE it! :)
i love this new garage you have so much space so much room to be creative with your idea's , but where is the sound system for banging tunes while working ?
@EmeliaHartford tech tip for your zall saw guy. Just like using cutting oil for drilling, using oil for cutting with a saw on metal, it will preserve the blade for longer. And actually cut much faster and more efficiently. I personally use just wd-40 on most of my projects because of the clear oil... but this tip will be a game changer ... if you even see it.

Finallly a rewarding rebuild watch. Easily the best automotive video ive seen this year!
Well I know it's the best one I've seen this year because it's the only one I've watched today
As a small business owner seeing the whole arch and growth of your channel is so inspiring! keep up the great content!
Chemistry and tone with Deets et. al. better. Fun, but not as silly as on the Z. That got old fast on that build.

Do it up like Richard Petty's old 43 car 1970 although it was a Plymouth
This is a Plymouth aswell, what do you mean. Richard petty drove chargers and superbirds in dinoco blue, this exact body style
Emelia is doing things most channels are not and thats what keeps me comming back to see whats the next project im still waiting on the gt40
This is by far going to be my most favorite build of all the car channels!
Those tubes in the frame were for adjustable weights ballast. Helps balance the car
Criss birdsong loves it...
His "new" racecar is cool, but this is gonna be cooler!
