- Service members from the U.S. Marine Corps' 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, the Philippine Marine Corps' 12th Marine Battalion and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade conduct exercise KAMANDAG 3 from Oct. 9-18, 2019, to promote multinational military interoperability, readiness, and capabilities in Luzon, Philippines.
New for this year’s KAMANDAG, U.S., Philippine, and Japanese forces will conduct assault amphibious vehicle training together.

I am showing my age: When I was on the USS Ogden, we launched LVTs. I remember LVTP, LVTC and LVTR. I was in the LCPL as a guide and safety officer. The designation was later changed to AAV.

現行のAAV7は新設された水陸機動団の戦力化のための急場凌ぎの配備だと思われるので、遅かれ早かれ後継として国産AAVが採用されるのではないでしょうか。
@@sanokuen-sempai ５２両も購入、海自の輸送力から考慮するに国産aavは当分先、もしくは将来的にアメリカが作るであろうものになると思う。現状で、国産aavが完成しても陸自が独自の奇抜な運用方法を生み出さない限り財務省が許可しないでしょ

あなたの意見も一理あるのですが、すでにAAV7は後継の選定が始まっており、性能や運用面での遅れが考えられます。
なので、今後離島上陸の重要性が高まるのでAAV7と国産AAVと一緒に配備されるのではないでしょうか。

離島上陸作戦で使用するのはわかりますが、母船となるおおすみ型は３隻、lcacを考慮すると５２両でも確実に数が溢れます。（５２両という数字が部品取り用ならわからなくないですけど）
対中に向けて連携は素晴らしい

ピングー 対地支援攻撃して安全が確認されてから上陸させるんじゃね？
最初に上陸するのは少数の特殊部隊やろうね
陸揚げに整備された港を必要としないので、ある程度ととのった海岸であれば上陸できるということは、防衛側から見た場合、上陸地点が最終的にどこであるかを見極めることが困難なので、戦力がどうしても希薄な場所が出てくる、そういった場所に海空軍による事前の攻撃を加えた上で上陸すれば一方的に攻撃されるリスクはかなり低減できると思います。
戦争映画ではドンバチしながら上陸が画になるけど、実際にそんなことしてたら上陸側のリスクが多すぎて現代戦じゃまずやらない。
事前の露払いがどれだけできてるかによるな。
