@@joshuaaustria7479 I dont like saying that one race is better at another when it comes to a certain task. Especially when it comes to military operations. A soldier who conducts himself with dignity and is properly trained deserves a salute from anyone. The thing is that the Filipino troops that fought in the Korean war were thick in the fight. With a cold winter around them. They fought on and hard just like the Americans and other allied forces. So they don't have that much of a déficit when it comes to cold weather than you would think.

Filipino people are tough and loyal to an extreme. I would suspect their Marines are that and more. My gosh, the weather alone makes them a force apart. Quick learners. Remind me watching videos of Sherpas, the soldiers. Hard and happy. What a warrior combination. America is fortunate to have Flilipinos as friends and militarily it’s unequal. They are some times taken advantage of because of their kindness. Alway irritated me to see some people treat them that way. Although they don’t put up with it for too long. Great people, haven’t had the pleasure in a while. Great video. They are not industrious. Take a viper and make a meal. Crazy funny.

I'm an American soldier (since 2010) and a former Philippine Army soldier (1996-2007).
My high respect to all comrades in arms. You have my snappy salute! Sa totoo lang mas mahirap ang training diyan sa Pinas (mas 1. brutal, 2. mahaba/matagal, 3. kulang sa pagkain, 4. kulang sa kagamitan).
    Facts comparison:
US Army Basic Combat Training is 9-10 weeks. PHI Army Basic Training is 6 months.
USMC Boot camp is 12 weeks. PHI Marine Basic school is 6 months.
US Army Ranger 'School' is 62 days. US Army Ranger 'Assessment and Selection' prog. is 8 weeks.
While the PHI Army Scout Ranger Operation Course training is 8 Months + more during 'Test Mission' against REAL enemies. (Wala silang totoong Test Mission katulad ng sa FSRR bago maka graduate). Meron sila dati sa 'RECONDO' pero tinanggal na kc merong nasusugatan at namamatay noong Vietnam war era.
Kahit saan man sila mag set up ng detachment or temporary camp meron palaging portable kasilyas/kubeta. Merong supply sa tubig, hand sanitizer, sunblock, etc. Habang sa Pinoy talagang pure 'Survival'.
My honest and humble experiences / observations. Kaya dapat ipagmamalaki ninyo ang mga Pinoy Warriors.

@Stephanie Lim I'm a Filipino, and a U.S. marine. I can say for a fact that U.S. Marines have way better endurance, and you were talking about improvisation? throughout U.S. Marine Corps History, we have always been outnumbered, and prevailed, because we learn to adapt to any given situation. Look it up, the United States Marines are by far the most feared fighting force in the world as a whole. We aren't as equipped as the army, air force, or navy, but what makes us United States Marines are our core values; Honor Courage and Commitment. The gear and equipment that we have does not make us U.S. Marines, our physical, mental, and spiritual strength does. I've also studied both U.S. and Filipino history. Filipino history is no where near as bloody as U.S. history does. Plus, if you are going to give history lessons, i suggest that you give a link to history books, instead of movies. Movies tend to always make things dramatic, exaggerated, far from the true story. All your claims are nothing but your own personal opinions.

As a marine in 1961 I was part of a group dropped off in the Mindanao jungle. We didn't have any help from anyone other than ourselves. We lived for three months in this environment learning to cook using banana leaves and a fire pit. We did have C rations but that gets old fast. We traded C rations for chickens and rice, even had monkey meat with San Jose beer cooled with wet burlap bags. We carried loaded 45 for protection against the mountain men that were known to come down from the mountains and kill Catholic priests and nuns. How's that for realistic training . Semper Fi Sgt. Hey, it's good sign for nationalism and patriotism right, as long as it's not jingoism then it's fine and all, and as long as they don't kill people for insulting their national identity then that's fine as well. I mean having pride for their country ain't a bad thing isn't it, it's just like how the British react to their football team in the international league or how the Americans react when they think they're helping the world (they're not) it's just like that, every country has a strong sense of identity and unity unless if your an African country which I doubt they would ever have any unity. But hey as long as this egoism isn't as contagious as the Germans during the world War era than that's fine
