    Update:
Hey Guys! I came back from Bangalore a couple days back and there I borrowed (not rented) an RE Meteor 350 with 5000 km on the ODO. The bike was not refined above 80 kmph with its mirrors vibrating intensely. Additionally, on throttling, there was a weird sound coming from the engine as if the piston was about to break, although nothing happened. This was the second time I rode the Meteor 350 for 200 km. Came back home and rode my Highness. Honestly, there is no match in quality and refinement. Highness is a clear winner. Ride these two bikes back to back to know the difference.

The reason why i bought this beauty -
    1. I always wanted a cruiser bike right from college days use to like meteor 350 a lot but finally we t for this bcoz their are too many royal Enfield bikes on the roads , it is current time splendor , everybody wants it be it a college student , an office goer , old uncle's , young pass out school kids , in my locality itself we have 1 gunmetal grey classic , one Electra black colour , 2 standard , 1 chrome , 1 Himalayan , and 2 meteor
    2. The bike engine is much more refined and smooth in comparison with royal Enfield engines
    3. 10kg lighter than classic 350 so that further adds a value in a long run
    4. Looks refreshing on road , no after market modifications are required except the headlight , it's throw is not that good especially in foggy winter nights
Their are some cons in general so plz consider that too -
    1. No bigwing dealers in most of the cities , so many people aren't aware of such bike
    2. After sales services are very costly in comparison to royal Enfield, which I don't know why Honda is doing that as it is always known for affordable services
    3. Many mechanics in the city won't even touch the bike if any issue occurs especially in teir 2 and tier 3 cities
    4. A bit expensive, prices are not that competitive to royal Enfield
    5. Would be hard to sell it out after 3-4 years as many people aren't aware of this bike and i recently visited a 2nd hand bike dealer in my city and he was not that interested in the bike and said that max to max he can pay me 1.25 lacs for the bike and it's just 14 months old not even a single issue in the bike then to he was reluctant , so it's a highly depreciating asset , so consider that too , in a long run things change our perspective change so ya
    6. Headlight issue which I have mentioned earlier
    7. Waise to not needed but everyone has their own taste , so not many after market modifications options available
Conclusion if you really want to purchase a cruiser/retro bike than think about for a long time if you especially belong to a middle class family as on road price is more than 2.5 lac approximately and its value depreciates very quickly
    8. Engine is refined and smooth but you won't feel that torquiness, it is a bike for relax movers like me which is not everyone preference

    Hii,
I watched this video and i also have booked 2023 h'ness cb350 for my self and in November i will be taking delivery of it...But in recent time i have came across some video's of h'ness showing it's handle wobbling issue..
What is your opinion abt it ...??
Shall i still consider this bike for myself...?? Or shall i go for Meteor 350...??

    • @TheRoamingDelhiite
      @TheRoamingDelhiite  ปีที่แล้ว

My personal take on wobbling issue is that do not leave your handlebar and ride…if the wobbling issue is extremely serious then check with service center..it could be multiple reasons..tires..too much weight on that back like top box..handlebar risers..etc..in my bike it is not there as of now..even if it comes after a few kms I really don’t find it to be bothersome..
Wobbling issue should not be a deal breaker between these two bikes..test ride both of them..look at the complete package of both the brands including service.. then decide what is best for you..
Hope you get your bike soon..cheers 👍🏻😊

      Thanks,
I did went to Big Wing and took another test ride of H'ness 350 and did check for handle wobbling ( which i didn't check at the first test ride )but i didn't notice it even a little bit..Not at 40 kmph and not even in between 70-80 kmph...
In addition the Big wing team has promised me that even after delivering me the bike if my bike is getting such wobbling issue then they will get it check in every aspect and will fix the issue at their end..
So i decide not to take test ride of Meteor this time again and went home with tension free mind..
So on 14 November 2023 i will be owning Honda H'ness cb350 for sure...

I know quite a few people who got Honda highness but they all are facing wobbling issues, which is terrible. There are many videos on that on youtube.
I was initially planning to go for Highness, but then changed my plan. The engine is awesome , butter smooth no doubt. But the design and color options are mediocre. Looks like a splendor on steroids. Honda should have given it a better design , so that it stands out.
RE classic 350 is too common on the road , that's the main reason i thought of going for cb350. But still because of the wobbling cases and poor design, I decided to go ahead with Classic 350 reborn (J series engine). I took the chrome bronze one , looks awesome and even the engine is smoother as compared to old model. I am absolutely satisfied.

It may be a propaganda. Highness has light handle bar . I have completed 3000 km ride on my highness, Even cruising my bike at 120 kmph ,I haven’t felt any wobbling issue. So someone who used to ride bikes with heavy handle bar like RE, may feel wobbling . After few days of riding in maximum case issue will be disappeared. Sometimes tyre profile may responsible for wobbling. I dislike the tyres in highness. Honda should supply tyres like it’s sibling cab 350 rs.

I was in same situation like you. I liked RS design more thn highness. Coming to comfort me being 33 years old with Gym physique i think i can manage RS and wont be a deal breaker for me as the handle position in only 18-20 and wont make that of a difference.. in city higness is more comfortable for sure as i felt the seat height is little bit lower thn RS n RS footpeg will hit your shin sometimes. If you liked RS because of looks thn go for it. U can manage those small negatives if you r young

Not a fanboy of any brand... As an RE rider i do agree there are certain things that RE needs to sort out and following things happened with my 650:
    1. RR-Unit failed twice @6k and 10k kms (changed under warranty)
    2. Handlebar wobbling (I've seen this issue in few CB Highness as well on YT)
    3. Speedo sensor failed at 12k kms (changed under warranty)
    4. Thud sound in coneset (will get it checked in my next service)
    5. Pass switch stopped working
Honda is the best when it comes to build quality & reliability but i do expect/want RE to improve with time which they are.
