I got the pleasure of meeting Mr. Young in Brussels back in 03'. I was shaking in my boots meeting him, and he never rushed this nervous kid who wanted an autograph. He spoke to me for nearly 20 mins. I am sure he places to go, but he made me feel like I was his best friend..
It really does make a difference. I’ve met quite a few bands, and the ones that make you feel good really stick with you. It makes you root for their success and justifies spending money on their records and merch.
Well he, Malcolm and Brian Johnson met Chuck Berry and he was a huge prick to them and he was like their hero. They made a conscious decision to always be good to their fans because of how shitty that encounter made them feel.
Malcolm and Angus are my musical heros! The music they put out was just so incredible. Back In Black came out my first year of high school. That album is still the greatest release of all-time. Every song played on the radio stations. Not just 2, 3, or 5 of them...ALL of them! Everyone was talking about this one. Those that listened to punk, new wave, heavy metal, whatever other genre you can name, were all blown away at how great it was, and still is today. RIP Malcolm...
Thanks to their older brothers who worked in the studio on their recordings. They told them to keep going after the loss of Bon & don't mess with the formula, it's working, so don't mess with it.
My 17 yr old self had the great pleasure to meet Angus in 1977 at the Old Waldorf in SF. My brother's name opened for them and he brought me backstage. Sweaty young Angus was so polite to a wide eyed teenager.

I believe in this interview he was asked basically what it’s like to be like recognized as one of the best players in the world, he responded by tell them, ‘ I’m don’t know I’m not even the best player in this band!! If that’s not telling I’m not sure what is. Amazing!

Angus was always the most energetic guitarist I'd ever seen. Thrilling to watch, like a bundle of pure rock energy. That's the movement he's talking about. For him, he's leaning into it, trying to compensate, and get around the fretboard. To the rest of us, the guy is dynamite.
I'm glad he mentioned his brother, because of his brother that is when I 1st truly noticed how a whole band works together!!! My 1st sighting of AC/DC was Day on the Green Oakland Collesium 1979 when I was a Jr in high school.

Every guitar player uses what they've got and that's what makes every player unique. It's a truly magical instrument. When I hear Angus play, I hear dedication, hard work, amazing skill, energy and freedom.

This guy will always be in my top ten guitar players. Those mid 70s to early 80s albums (dirty deeds, high voltage, let there be rock, highway to hell, back in black, for those about to rock, and even fly on the wall) are ALL amazing! No effects, no tricks, just guitar, amp cranked to 10, and soul.

I've went and seen this guy many times over the last 40 years , I've never been disappointed, and just imagine the number of guitar players he's inspired is mind plowing , that number has gotta be up there with Randy and Ed , thank God for all of them , and Malcolm also, in my mind he was the backbone of AC/DC may they all rest well, and may Angus rock on.🙏
Angus and Malcom had a gift of writing some of the most powerful rock songs ever, using only about 4-5 chords, and yet their riffs are great. Immediately when the song starts you can immediately tell it’s AC-DC. Honestly I could get pumped up listening to their music all night and it always motivated me in my work outs. Though I loved to play their music, i rarely did because it was too hard to sound like Brian or Bonn. You really have to be able to sing like either of them to do justice to their music. I’m truly sad for Angus to have lost Malcom as I’m also very close to my own brother and it’d be difficult to replace someone so close in life but I hope we continue to hear more of the band’s “Raunch - Rock Powerful style. Such a great band for so long. Nobody like ‘em. God Bless you all Angus. Please keep Rockin’ guys. We need you on a big Rockin’ Stage. Loud and Crankin’. You’re Never too old too Rock

He's one of the best and most energetic players I've ever seen. Seen him on the back n black tour when they rolled through Dallas. I'm 58 now and I ain't forgot that show. Never seen any one bang their head like Angus non stop, and still play perfectly. I can't bang my head like that for 30 seconds without getting dizzy..he's a master, guitarist and showman!
