My 17 yr old self had the great pleasure to meet Angus in 1977 at the Old Waldorf in SF. My brother's name opened for them and he brought me backstage. Sweaty young Angus was so polite to a wide eyed teenager.
Loved the Old Waldorf. Lots of great concerts there. Saw many Y&T concerts at that venue!!!! 🎸

First time I saw ac/dc 1980 back in black tour I was amazed at 16 years old how Angus played for 1 hour nonstop banging his head running across the stage playing wow look at this guy he's unbelievable he's was a animal live😅😊

This guy will always be in my top ten guitar players. Those mid 70s to early 80s albums (dirty deeds, high voltage, let there be rock, highway to hell, back in black, for those about to rock, and even fly on the wall) are ALL amazing! No effects, no tricks, just guitar, amp cranked to 10, and soul.

He was kind when I met him awkwardly as a sixteen year old during the Fly On The Wall tour, and I hear he was great at my friend Vicki’s prom back in the day too. I wish him all the best, and condolences on his loss of Malcolm. Thanks for sharing, Tim! Best, Daniel 🤙🏼

AC/DC is right up there with the Beatles.. Angus created some of the most iconic riffs ever. Such a sweet guy..So sad about Malcom..
He is such a humble, self effacing person.

saw him in concert last weekend. 68 years old and still an absolute BADASS he was amazing and AC/DC sounded great still!!

Angus was always the most energetic guitarist I'd ever seen. Thrilling to watch, like a bundle of pure rock energy.
That's the movement he's talking about. For him, he's leaning into it, trying to compensate, and get around the fretboard. To the rest of us, the guy is dynamite.
His way of making the chords sing is awesome

Really love how you play. Was fortunate enough to see you guys in concert years ago. For your solo, they put a small round stage right where the floor seats end. I was so close, it was so amazing!!!!! Could really see up close how extremely talented you are!!! One of my best memories!

As a woman who is actually taller than Angus, I still have very small hands, so the first time I heard him talk about this it reminded me what musicianship is all about. People shit on ACDC for their "simplistic pentatonic" approach to rock and roll but it's certainly worked well for them, and a lot of it is harder to play than it sounds. His bends and vibrato are just perfect. We love you Angus ❤

I like him. He’s down to earth and not self-aggrandizing. Where as most “icons” of his status have such an overinflated ego that they actually believe the hype about themselves. When the realization sinks in that they’re not super-human and they’re gonna get old and die, then follows humility, that is if they’re still not delusional about their own mortality.

Angus Young will always be the living definition and embodiment of rock n roll. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years now and I have many influences. I have my "main" influences, but Angus will always be THE influence. Till we jam in Valhalla.
I've always said the only size that really matters is the size of a man's heart. Angus, you totally play from yours and you sound bigger than I (and my giant fingers) ever will. Keep on rockin' in the free world!
