Good video as always! Thanks for featuring my build I'm very proud of it. It's since gotten some changes with more on the way but last month I had a blast taking it to Open Sauce in San Fransisco and so many people were into it. People would often stop me to ask about it. Some pictures of it floating around I'm sure. I'm looking forward to future coverage of the Pip-Boy 3000 Mk V as well as any other Fallout content.
38:48 james in the game you can change your hud to be any color you wish using sliders in the pip-boy menu. I don't know if this is available in fallout 3 by is for sure in fallout 4 and fallout 76 so this is what you might be remembering, that or someone using a mod to do the same thing.
The new Pip-Boy Mkv should have a MicroSD card or SD card adaptability to work around no room for the holotype function. Idk how to inform YourGeekFix about this feature. Maybe they're too far in development to suggest a feature like this or already thought of using such a feature. I really think this should be considered at least. It could also increase suggestions on what could they be used for... Extra ram or storage, or small programs. That could be included. My idea would be, is to add extra ram or storage of saving text files if possible on one of these props. Or you can preload files on them, like images audio or video.
Thank you very much, and I intend to put a holotape reader in this pipboy that I made, but only if the Fallout 5 pipboy has a very difficult or surreal design. (Like Fallout 3)
I wanted to do the same. I was able to do lights and a bluetooth speaker inside my pip boy 2000, I want to do a screen and make it fully functional. I was trying to think of how to make a functional holotape, almost like a usb storage device.
Thats pretty cool, had no idea they were trying to cut down on the waiting time, but if it needs more time in the oven who am I to say otherwise. I just hope if it gets delyed that most poeple would be understanding that making something like this is hard, even with a team of people.
I already took apart my Blackberry passport and managed to microsurgery it into the Pip-boy 2000 mk VI screen module, but I can't get the back on, I was really hoping you'd release the 3D printable backplate soon, what's the latest estimate on when you'll have it done?
Question: do you know why they chose animations instead of Bluetooth like thinkgeek. It’s just interesting and a question I kinda want to know the answer to thanks.
I would like to set up a meeting. I have been in development of a pit boy that I have been somewhat mass producing and my own custom app with features such as step counter., Geiger counter, Ability to have working FM radio, and much much more. Y’all have been popping up on my feed more and I would love to discuss or talk more about a collaboration.

Have you ever thought about making a Ghostbusters themed pip boy? that can connect with a proton pack to turn it on and measure your heart rate and communicate And check if you’re possessed.
Are you guys thinking/working on a model that can be compatible with the fallout games. That could act as were you can view your map, quest, weapons, aids, etc… basically everything you have in game will be show on your pip boy. It would be sick if could interact with your real life pip boy and make changes without using the pip boy in game. I love what you guys did with the pip boy 3000 MKV keep up the good work !
