@@YourGeekFix I saw your video on them roughly 3 or 4 hours after makin this comment. Depending on what metal they use, if I can talk my wife into not pulling Lorena Bobbit on me for buyin one, I’m now sitting here thinking “ok, the light corrosion is a nice touch, but I can either cerakote the metal, or blue the steel like I would a rifle barrel.” Aluminum and stainless steel doesn’t blue… and would necessitate cerakoting… but if it’s some form of carbon steel I can blue it, and depending on conditions bluing can take on many different shades, everything from midnight black to the standard gunmetal grey, to just about anything between. I’m rather fond of bluing, because no two bluing jobs are the same. Bluing polished steel to the point it’s like a mirror can come out looking like black chrome, or it may take oddly to the bluing and may not get an even blue, so it’ll be darker fading to lighter bluing… gives whatever I’m bluing a bit of personality that cerakoting just can’t do. That said, cerakoting is far more protective… it’s a ceramic paint, so naturally it’s more scratch resistant too. But name brand cerakot can be a bit pricy… that said it’s totally worth it.
You could wait to buy after watching the video we have coming out. Chris said they will not be selling out. This is just to know how many to make. @@codyralston1372
My friend got my fallout 76 a couple days ago and seeing the skins for the pup boys reignited my passion for the pup boy and one day I would love to make one. For now I’m content watching your content. Fantastic work!

Just finished disassembling my original Pipboy 2000 Mark VI. Thank you for the step-by-step tutorial!! I'm still struggling to find a radio module and so far no one is offering it as the original price. :(
Regarding the holotapes, I've been considering making silicone molds of all the pieces and casting the parts for a variety of colors and to be able to make more.
I missed the premiere.. I was listening to Frank Herberts Dune the audiobook while designing a CNC mill and lost track of time. I use Ziplock bags to store all my screws, switches and everything else. It takes only as much space as the contents.
I have the kit version, so I don't need to disassemble it, but this was fun to watch nonetheless, looking forward to the next one already. Also, why'd you buy all those spare parts?
Where did you find spare parts? I've been making the buttons momentary switches and I've broken one of the small frames and lost one of the red buttons

I have a question, since these are sold out or at a high cost on second hand stores, are there any sources for the lightbulb covers as seen @21:07 ? Cant seem to find any. I do have clear PETG and can possibly 3D print them, but def wont be the same.
Honestly, if I got one of those, I'd just make it so the radio can play in-game radio for the music and news rather than have the real world radio in it.
@@YourGeekFix looked and sounded a little tired st the end of the video compared to the beginning. Thought I'd ask. In retrospect it seemed a funny question at the time. I must have been tired too.
@TheEvilTH-cam listening now from a different device, it still seems like it's less of a volume issue and more that the back track is a bit busy. It sounded worse with studio monitor headphones, sounds pretty good from my phone's speakers.

Go to the local hardware store and look for small Edison bulbs. You can easily light them.
