    I’m 6’8” and looking at Road Kings. This video was a huge help! Not a lot of people go in to detail on the mods needed to fit on one of these.

    You may want to get the Kuyaken floorboard remount brackets, they move them 1 inch forward and 1 inch out. They really helped me to be more comfortable on my Road King. I also have a Corbin tall boy seat, that sits lower and farther back it helps with reach and center of gravity. I’m 6’2” and 270. I have ridden this bike to Oklahoma from Georgia and all over Georgia and Florida, I am comfortable.

    Those extended foot controls are a great idea. I'm ordering a pair for my '07 Road King from another company but they're essentially the same as yours. I'm 6'2" so not that tall but to not have to go around the brake pedal to use it is a great mod.
    Thanks for the info.

    I know what you mean! Waiting for the day that H-D comes out with a specialty bike for tall guys. I’m 6-5 270. I have a 2012 Roadglide: 14 inch Vindikta bars, tall boy seat, extended footboards and shifter.

    You are making it yours. Good job! 6'5" and 360 here. I ended up taking the floorboards off of mine and putting on a forward control extension and custom made pegs. I use a shaved down solo seat(less cushion) and use my luggage as a backrest. Keep it up!

    6' 5, 370, big sob myself. Great video. I have a 2012 RK, added 16' meathook apes, tallboys foot plate brackets and daddy long legs seat. I finally feel comfortable riding. On a side note, went to a 21" front wheel and the ride actually got better.

      @gilbertonatruckerchannnel8863 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ericoswald5222 VN900 is smaller. The distance from the seat to the footpegs is way shorter. That means a lot of difference when you seat and your knees are not that high. Another tip is to change the seat and install a thinner one.

    heh Im going through this now with a 2000 electra glide. Im pretty sure the seat that came on mine was a "reacher" the opposite of the tallboy. Im going to go to a Police "Air Ride" seat. another recommendation is RIch's up in washington. Ive got his seats on my ADV bikes and they are outstanding. Good to know about the longer controls. I do not care for apes at all for me. I see way too many rider slouching with those, which is asking for back pain. but I will likely get some with a slight rise
    You are right that is a weird peg and bar set up the dude had. sounds like he was not only short but was trying to lay back like he was in bed!

    My man, you might consider finding a Kawasaki VN2000. It is a 125 Cubic Inch V-twin, really reliable, tons of torque. decent beach bar handle bars stock, forward controls and worthy of a guy your size. That little bity engine ain't going to get it done for you. I've ridden Harleys my whole life and always felt like I was on an under powered minibike.. If you throw a set of vance hines on a VN 2k, a power commander, have it dyno'd and tuned, you would be amazed at the size, power, performance and reliability you can buy for well under 10k all in.. with low miles. The wheel base of tge vn2k dwarfs that harley at 68" with an overall length of basically 100". The wheel base on a motorcycle, with forward controls is what really determines if the bike will fit you..
