@@Slushea You save up money, send units to deal with a horde, upgrade random junk, go through all sorts of levels, grind for better things, get XP, and that’s why it’s a tower defense game. The only reason why people don’t see it is because it doesn’t look like a tower defense game.
As someone who plays both, they should get a collab. I nearly exploded in joy when I heard "Battle Cat" in the update 46 announcement video, only to find out it is Mattel's Battle Cat and not Ponos' Battle Cats.
Tbh you can’t rlly compare the two since bloons is actually more like the normal Tower defence people are used to (battle cats is a very different tower defence)
Imo the gameplay loop of bloons gets really repetitive very quickly compared to battle cats, along with the possibility to spend about 20 minutes on a run only to lose and have to start all over again
I’ve been scammed of my Hiroshima vs battle cats video, I need a refund, I payed my entire life savings for this! (I am now 8 billion Zimbabwean dollar in debt pls help)
I personally prefer Battle Cats and feel like some of the points aren't very fair, for example the grindy nature of battle cats is annoying but you only really need to do it for the first bit of the game while if you play BTD6, you realize that it is a lot more grindy in general especially since a few achievements are just extremely grindy and simply un-fun
Battle cats seems like it has way more. It has so many stages to clear and things to do, but btd is just grinding monkey money and mk until youre maxed then grinding the same stages to black border. Both are good, but grinding btd6 seems much more repetitive imo as a long time player of both. This is not to discredit btd tho, since i still play to grind collection events, bosses, and more and i also still play battle cats actively.
Both are good. BTD6 requires a lot of strategy (and farming), however I like battle cats more, since there’s a whole lot of cats with different abilities, and yknow, the enemies fight back. Both have grinding in some way, so yeah.
As some body who plays both I prefer battle cats because because of the art style and buzz after beating a difficult stage or unlocking a strong cat you saw in a video although I completely agree with the points made great video❤
Now compare Battle Cats and Plants vs Zombies with it being the OG tower defense game in all, and the Poster Child of all Gacha games, Genshin Impact and they’re both similar in characters.
As someone who grew up on BTD3 on coolmathgames, i prefer battle cats due to the variety of enemies. Variety of enemies helps give more gameplay styles which makes the game feel less stale
as someone really experienced in both in my prime top 50 consistently in races and multiple expert maps on chimps and for battle cats early ul i can say that from my opinion btd6 can be great tho it gets extremely repetitive and even frustrating later when you have to fight certain bosses on certain restrictions even tho yes it can be played in multiple different ways on a lot of levels you just do the same thing also one thing that u feel like i want to mention is how frustrating it is to lose 30 minutes of your time by either needing to log off when your going for black borders or simply by slight miscalculation on timings with chimps in harder maps
I don't agree with the idea of making BTD6 free. Battle Cats is like a much bigger game in like Japan, it's like a big thing there I heard and they might get a lot of money from those asian countries. BTD6 doesn't have that. I don't think people buy stuff from the BTD6 store. I just can't imagine that, but maybe I'm wrong.
btd 6 has way,way more mechanics but simpler enemies while battle cats has less mechanics but has a lot of enemies and units variation and also both are different types of tower defence where one is you place towers and protect a way and other is you send your characters to destroy the tower and protect your own
i dont think people event view battle cats as a tower defense, its also not *that* casual friendly, to an extent, while btd6 is, and btd6 is also far more popular
Honestly I've been playing battle cats for over 5 years now and currently in zl and I've only been playing btd6 for about 4 months but I've played it a couple of times before And I feel like both of them have their pros and cons and are equally good
as a person who plays both regularly, it all comes down to personal preference’s. putting them against eachother isn’t all that fair, BC is more popular in Asian countries (atleast, i think it is anyways) and BTD6 is.. just BTD6. no regional popularity, it’s just a game for everyone i guess, great video regardless though!
3:24 i feel that having towers, maps, ect locked behind payed content is scummy. It could make a game pay to win. Not all payed added content is bad like elden rings dlc, bit for a game like bloons makes it feel more unfare like the pokemon sword and sheild with the isle of armor having the strongest pokemon locked behind a pay wall. Bloons is a game that makes you not regret the little money you spent on it, or if you have a Netflix subscription the game is free.
Two cast is the best tower defence game sure the monkey balloon game is very good about cats is more pure and unique with its attacks instead of just having the same balloons but stronger and stronger wildcat has a strategy of money different types of stuff
Battle cats is it’s own variant of td, battle cats is free to play and you can beat it without paying easily. As someone who bought btd, it STILL has payed transactions in there
I've played both games and can say battle cats in my opinion is better. The game is more unique and makes you think harder in your options because if you play the game without any help, you won't know which cats are good or bad and you won't know how to better handle other enemies. Btd6 base game is much more casual friendly, and battle cats is more for people looking for a challenging game that lasts so much longer. Also, although you may see btd6 as better because of how you can play other people's maps and challenge others, if you play battle cats ultimate you can do the same thing. Make stages with your choice of enemies to make a fun and challenging stage. Both games appeal to different people, but in my opinion, battle cats is better
i play both games and love both i was playing btd6 when my friend told me about battle cats so its kinda funny because these are two of my favorite games
Saying battle cats gets hard only in late game is also very dishonest. My friends who casually play the game struggled on stages such as Alaska, Japan, even chapter 2 moon If you know a few strategies in btd6 the game is supremely easy in almost evey case
I'll be real some of the points you brought up just sound unnecessary "So one thing that's really bad about Bloons right of the bat is you have to actually pay 7$", ok and original PvZ costs about 4$ and despite being a casual game it's regarded as one of the best and influencial tower defense game, why is the price of a relatively casual game brought up while also saying that it's a light game not an MMO which i bet most MMOs would cost far more than just 7$ because they have much higher budget than a game costs 7$, and what kind of broke person would be scared of 7$ price tag, a person who can't even afford a cheap game wouldn't even go to steam in the first place When talking about gacha you brought up Ramen Cat and how someone might struggle if fhey dont get him early on, ok but how early on are we talking, if it's ITF then i don't think you would really stuggle early on without Ramen because Angels aren't really strong at that point and you will probably get him later relatively quickly since it's just a rare cat, also that one person who didn't get Ramen Cat, how impactuful would that argument be if it's just one person alongside 100 other people who at least have Rocker, it's Rocker Cat we're talking about a rare cat not some Uber The RNG in games is frustrating but you can't just outright say it's actually bad for the game, yes too much RNG is very bad for the gameplay but the right amount of it is just what makes majority of Battle Cats enjoyable, a lot of stages would be very similar to each other if jt wasn't for the RNG factor, for example Floor 30 is regarded as one of the best stage in the game and it does actually revoleve around some RNG when it spawns enemies, each run different player go through will be interchangeable because of that RNG factor, there's a lot of stages that have RNG to it and a kot of the time that RNG is needed to try and make a stage stand out I would also say something more about BTD but I never played any of the games, I did played it once but even then I don't recall it being as enjoyable as battle cats, mind you was much younger at the time so generally I would enjoy most mobile games
I agree with sentiment that BTD6 is a better crafted game and that Battle Cats has many flaws, however I still prefer Battle Cats and have more fun playing it.
battle cats is not a tower defence game. in battle cats you need to both defend and attack to win. not just defend. it just got tower defence genre slaped on to it for no reason. this is like arguing that gta is a racing game when in reality its a shooter game... exept i lied because its actually open world adventure game.
It is a tower defense, it's just not the exact same type of concept people are familiar with, battle cats has a lot of mechanics that are also present in Bloons, upgrading the wallet is in a way similar to upgrading the units since you're storing more money to get more expensive cats on the field, you send out cats and they work on their own, and honestly if battle cats isn't a tower defense what would you consider battle cats to actually be
if i had to give battle cats a real genre that exists it would be rts. problem is that i feel like its too complex for a simple game like battle cats. i feel like it would have to have a name that means something more simple than those real army city building games. kinda like how metrovania is just a platformer with extra steps. there is no simplier word for rts but i did seen games like this getting called army or war in genre but thats still too abstract like zombie also being a genre for some reason
played both, while BTD6 only lasted a few months with me, battle cats has stuck around for 4 years now, BTD6 is just boring due to it's lack of content, devs there are actually more lazy than mojang.
Btd battles 2 and 1 are just as good as btd6 so like that’s my opinion. Battle cat is better tho imo bc of gambling but the tedious grind can still take its toll on the games reputation (barely) but btd 6 has that grind too.
I think battle cats might win against btd6 let me explain Because the units in battle cats aren't that powerful but The enemies...... Are merciless The amount of enemies are there it feels like they are the skibide toilets and they are very very strong and they all work together there are the boss who Do thousands of damage from one attack and they get reinforcement who deal a few thousand of damage per second and can Destroy you line up and there are the small enemies who foursome reason have the same hp ass the boss and there is alien filibuster who can Destroy the entire map and one shot your unit
Btd6 is kinda a game i play with an apk most of the time i played it before i got addicted to battle cats and battle cats has gambling and btd6 doesn't
both are peak games. neither is better than the other
I agree
As a person who plays both games I definitely agree
bro this is the first time I heard someone calling battle cats a tower defense
Bc it is
What else could it be? Hero based shooter??
@@ITS_MysteR I mean it's like, VERY far from how usual td games work despite being one.

pick up a penny off the ground thats probably worth enough
i need a dollar
Immediately started tweaking after the copyright strike, they are 2 different types of td it’s unfair to compare
i mean, both games have different aproachs to the tower defense genre, battle cats has a way more simple approach but that doesn't make it worse
Btd6 is more repetitive
