  • Here's MTV's Metal Hammer with The Bailey Brothers interviewing Vinnie Moore. Do you have any MTV's Metal Hammer shows on VHS or DVD-R (Other than obvious the 11 LP Mode DVD's that were uploaded online, I don't need those apparently). I'm looking for FULL, Uncut episodes of MTV's Metal Hammer, SKY Channel's Monsters Of Rock (With Mick Wall hosting) and pretty much anything from the early SUPER Channel.
    Please contact me at: EvilDeadRules99@Hotmail.com if you have any full shows. And again, please, not those 11 DVD's that are a bunch of cut up segments and videos. I'm looking for people who have the show sitting on VHS still, or have transferred the show to DVD-R in at LEAST SP Mode quality (with a standalone DVD recorder). No LP Mode bullshit.
    Thanks and enjoy the video!

    Vinnie was thinking "Back the eff up! You violated my space bubble! And no one touches my guitar but me!" That was painful.

    Props to Vinnie for being so cool after the dude on the right kept invading personal space and touching the guitar.

      I’m sure Vinnie was cool with them, he didn’t seem annoyed. The bros just seem like happy type of guys!

      Frank Gambale would burn his guitar and leave the country.

    Little did Vinnie know at the time that his future self would eventually replace Michael Schenker in UFO. Wow.. 🤯

    He was always part of the Neo-Classical Rock Guitar Trinity. Yngwie. Tony. Vinnie

      @swangonzalez4797 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Momoa786 Tony was a classical pianist before he adapted to neo classical rock guitar and later fusion. His landmark albums were heavily neo classical. I dont find Impelliteri that melodic. He's definitely faster than the Trinity. But I dont ever recall any classic shred album from him. He's more like Rusty Cooley, all speed and no melody. The Trinity had great albums. With great compositions with melodies that people remember.

      There was also Marty Friedman

      @swangonzalez4797 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Momoa786 I didn't find any of their material particularly melodic. Almost mindless in fact. Jason's solo album Perp Burn was a lot better, but no way in the league of Rising Force, Maximum Security or Mind's Eye.

      @@vinaymulukutla358 Marty is great. But I saw him in a clinic get blown of the stage by some shredder kids. He did pentatonics. He is not a true stand alone shredder and Neo-Classical player who does precise picking runs like Yngwie, Tony or Vinnie. He was always more effective with a band. He also switched to Japanese influenced Rock. I cant say he has done true Neo-Classical work in the past. But his work with Megadeth are classic. His skill level isn't on the same level as the Trinity I'm afraid. Cheers

      @@swangonzalez4797 Your opinion, I respect it. I don’t know whether Marty was better or worse than Yngwie, Tony or Vinnie since I’m not an expert but his albums with Cacophony (even if they didn’t sit well with yourself) and his solo effort Dragon’s Kiss are among the most notable that Shrapnel ever released. And no, he doesn’t just use pentatonics, he is notable for using exotic scales such as those used in Neoclassical, Middle Eastern and Asian Music. So I would say he is indeed a neoclassical player although not necessarily tethered to that style since he’s diverse.
      Ironically Marty himself actually hates being labelled a shredder and thinks that playing with a million notes going everywhere is terrible.
